Meet Hip Hop – The Sweetest Senior Shih Tzu Around! Hip Hop is a Shih Tzu weighing about 10 lbs, and she’s ready to find her forever family! This little lady has come a long way—from being found roaming the streets and ending up in a crowded shelter, to now living her best life in a loving foster home. When she first arrived, Hip Hop was matted and had some hair loss from a flea allergy, but with a little TLC (and some cozy sweaters), she’s blossomed into the adorable, happy pup she was always meant to be. Hip Hop is the definition of an easygoing companion. She loves lounging around the house and soaking up the comforts of home, but she also enjoys short backyard adventures with her dog friends. She’s been around dogs of all shapes and sizes—from a calm 5-year-old Jack Russell mix to an energetic 8-month-old Great Pyrenees mix—and she gets along with everyone. She’s even polite with cats! Her true love, though, is people. Hip Hop adores being near her humans and will happily follow her chosen person from room to room, just to be part of the action. She’s wonderfully respectful—never underfoot or demanding attention—and she’s especially sweet with kids. In her foster home, she enjoys spending time with her 4- and 10-year-old human foster siblings, often curling up at their feet or patiently waiting for someone to lift her onto the couch for a snuggle. Hip Hop has impeccable manners, is completely potty trained, and is as polite as they come. She’s the perfect companion for anyone looking to share their days with a gentle, loving senior who appreciates the finer things in life—lazy Sunday mornings, quiet companionship, and unconditional love. Bubbles and her sister and brother, Buttercup and Brodie were surrendered to a kill shelter because their owners just had too many and couldn’t find homes on their own. Their mom is a long-haired Chihuahua and their daddy is a Shih Tzu and they were born on February 2nd this year so they are 8 months old. Bubbles has been spayed, is up-to-date on vaccines and heartworm negative. She’s also microchipped. She weighs just under 9 pounds and is probably full grown now. Bubbles is great at the Vet and The Groomer and loves riding in the car. She needs a little practice on the leash and she’s making great progress on house training. Although and three pups are extremely sweet, Bubbles is a most friendly and a super snuggler! She plays great with her brother and sister and we feel like she would be fine with other dogs after getting to know them. She would do well with older children and we have not had her around cats but we feel like she would be fine with proper introduction. After a very difficult few months, Cricket is finally safe in foster care and looking for the love he truly deserves. Meet Ember! This heartthrob has a goofy smile, the manners of a gentleman, and a heart of gold. This fragile soul spent WEEKS in a crowded shelter after being found wandering alone as a stray. The second he stepped through our door, he completely lit up. Within hours, he was following his foster like a tiny flickering shadow ~ smiling, tail wagging, tongue peeking out when he woke from naps. His foster mom says he's so well-behaved and so happy to finally be included in a family. Ember's ideal home has people who are around most of the time, want to take him on plenty of walks and fun adventures, and love to cuddle. He wants to spend most of his day on the couch with his humans, supervising any kitchen activities, and snacking on all the treats. When Ember wakes up from naps, his little tongue sticks out, like it's been searching for snacks in his sleep. As if that weren't cute enough, one ear tends to flip back in his sleep so he wakes up with lopsided ears to match his lopsided grin. Ember loves going for leash walks (in nice weather only - he's not big on snow and we don't blame him one bit!) and is equally happy to ride along in the car. He is housetrained and generally sleeps through the night. While his vision and hearing aren't perfect, he still bounds up and down stairs and can even jump up onto the couch. He doesn't need a ton of exercise, but he absoutely needs a ton of snuggles! After everything he’s been through, Ember still believes people will choose him.
