Story
My name is Princess Mimi and I am a precious 10 lb, 7-year-old, purebred Shih Tzu girl that was saved from a shelter in Florida. It seems that my mom died and her family did not want me so they just took me to the shelter and left me there. I was so confused along with being heartbroken over losing my mom. A very kind rescue lady who was in the Florida area visiting with her sick dad, saw that I was in this shelter and came to get me. A shelter is no place for a princess as you know. I was terrified. But I'm now on my way back to Tennessee where they will fully vet me and spay me. I am a very healthy girl and the only thing I need in life besides lots of love and your commitment for the rest of my life, is just a little medication for my dry eyes.  I am potty trained and can work on real housebreaking to go outside if needed. I would need you to be consistent with me on that since my former mom just put down pee pads and I was happy to use those. I would love to go for long walks everyday and would love to sit on your lap and look at you with all the love I have in my heart. Hi my name is Rowdy!  I am a 5 year old shih tzu who weighs 17 lbs  I am not sure why my name is Rowdy because I am not really a rowdy pup except when I am at the groomer.  Thought I better get that out of the way first.  That is my LEAST favorite thing in the world.  For a guy with long hair I really did not need that personality trait but sadly that is me.  I try really hard but unfortunately it is just too scary for me.  I require a 'little' shot in order to be endure this.  On the other hand when I am back to my handsome self, I am a sweet and confident young man.  I love other dogs, am OK with cats and good with people.  No young children though.  I definitely prefer adults.  I was surrendered to Critter Cavalry with my 2 sisters when our family could no longer take care of us.  I was a little scared and withdrawn at first but once I settled in I realized what is was like to be taken proper care of and to be loved for who I am.  I am a good boy.  I love to play and get along well with everyone in my foster home.  I walk OK on a leash and ride great in the car.  I am housebrokn, doggie door and crate trained.  I have been neutered and am current on all my shots, on monthly preventative and microchipped.  I am ready for my forever home.  I hope that will be with you.  To be considered for my forever family and to request an application, please contact Vivienne at viviennejames@comcast.net.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  (I am currently in Tennessee and can be transported north upon adoption.)September 16, 2024, 7:14 am

Story
So, I adopted Manny four years ago in February of 2020. I was told that he was MAYBE three years old but to me, he looked a little younger. I believed he was one or two years old. That would make him between 5 and 7 years old now although he still looks like a puppy sometimes lol. Manny is such a sweet and mild tempered dog. However, he can get a bit anxious at times. Especially, when he hears the loud noise of a trash truck and dumpster OR rain and thunder. He loves attention, cuddles and caresses from humans. I am sad to let him go but I have to because he deserves more than I can give him now. He likes to go for walks but I have not been able to get him outside much. Im hoping he is adopted to a home where a dog of his kind is desired and the owner has the time to care for him and retrain him to their home in a loving way. I will include his crate, remaining food and treats and whatever supplies, clothes and toys I have for him.
