Story
I am at Oakland Animal Services in kennel Cat Holding 1:5Hi, I'm Zippo—and yes, I’m as fiery as my name suggests. I'm a 1-year-old Flame Pt. Siamese mix with a lot to say (seriously, I love to chat) and even more personality packed into this handsome little package. I showed up in a cardboard box outside—like, excuse me??—but I wasted no time breaking out and making sure someone noticed me. I'm bold, affectionate, and very forward about wanting attention. I'll headbutt you, lean in for pets, purr like a motor... and then, well, I might remind you I like things on my terms with a quick love bite. Keeps things interesting! I'm looking for experienced humans who understand that love from a guy like me comes with some spice. I get overstimulated quickly, and I'm still figuring out how to handle all my big feelings—especially being cooped up when I clearly want to be out and about. I LOVE treats, crave attention, and will absolutely demand your time, but I need someone who can read my signals and respect my boundaries. Older, cat-savvy kids might be okay, but I'm definitely not for beginners. If you're up for a smart, intense, and endlessly entertaining companion, I just might be your perfect match!  April 5, 2026, 1:27 am

Best Match : Seeking an adopter with substantial experience Would be most comfortable in a calm adult only home Needs to be the only cat Needs to be indoor only Mocha is a girl that likes things on her terms- when to be pet and when to play! She needs an adopter that is familiar with cat body language and knows and respects boundaries. Once you have this down- she will be giving you head butts, leg rubs and snuggling into your chest while you are sleeping.  Her foster says: "She loves to lounge around in her cat bed or watch out the windows. She is curious about any work that I do around the house, but leaves me alone at my computer desk, save for putting her paws on the side of my chair when she wants pets or playtime." If you have the patience and love for this pretty gal, and experience living with cats- especially ones with some behavior challenges-she could be just the thing for your calm household! She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested negative for FeLV and FIV. If you are interested in setting up a meeting or have more questions, please complete our Adoption Inquiry form ! Story
Best Match: Seeking an adopter with some experience Could join a quiet home with teens Part of a bonded pair with Dallas Needs an inhaler twice daily Needs to be indoor only Beautiful Siamese girl Honolulu is quick to purr, enjoys some lap time, and loves loves loves to be pet! Need to know more? She’s bonded to sister Dallas and both are excellent at making biscuits.  Honolulu loves to play (on her own or with Dallas) and is a creative and avid hunter! She can play with just about anything by chasing, “capturing” and carrying her prey in her mouth while parading around the house and meowing. Sounds like a photo op!  The preferred daily routine begins with pets and playtime before breakfast. The rest of the day is spent playing, sleeping, and exploring along with sisterly snuggling and grooming. Honolulu is a vocal girl and will sometimes alert her person if she’s  hungry and dinner has yet to be served. She may also ask your opinion — play or pets or both before mealtime? Both Honolulu and Dallas are still working on their confidence. Sometimes they look like they want to jump on the couch and sit in the lap of their human or nearby, according to their foster. They are also wary around new people. Honolulu has asthma and is currently taking pills while she learns to use an inhaler. She’s very smart and her foster has been working to build positive associations with the process to make it less stressful. Her adopter will need to continue providing a low stress routine, and consult with their vet on her continued care. They are spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested negative for FeLV and FIV. If you are interested in setting up a meeting or have more questions, please complete our Adoption Inquiry form ! Story
Best Match: Seeking an adopter with some experience Could join a quiet home with teens Part of a bonded pair with Honolulu Needs to be indoor only Dallas was made for a life of leisure & luxury and she knows it. In cat terms - that’s a warm place for extended lounging, lots of scritches and belly rubs on her schedule, and lots of food and treats, sometimes when you’re not looking.  Dallas is quite different from her sister in certain ways. She spends less time and enthusiasm playing and is more picky about her toys. A sparkly blue ball is her current favorite and she loves to carry it around. Most of the time, Dallas prefers to sit under the coffee table and will paw or bat at things that are being dragged in front of her. This sweet girl’s idea of the perfect day would be sleeping in, lounging all day (preferably in a heated bed) and eating. Although the daily routine should include her adored belly rubs, it needs to be on her terms. She can overstimulate a little with petting, and will let you know when you’ve crossed her boundaries with her paw or a gentle nip.  Dallas and her sister like to be near each other as much as possible throughout the day including lots of snuggling. They also groom one another regularly, which can sometimes lead to wrestling. Fortunately, they are pretty good at sharing time and attention and don't mind when one cat steps in on the other! That’s important because both girls like being near their humans. Both girls are a little skittish around new people. Like most cats, they will need time to warm up in a new environment. When Dallas gets comfortable she will likely have a lot to say as does Honolulu. Dallas is also very food motivated, and does not seem to have any treat preference as long as it is a treat! They are spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested negative for FeLV and FIV. If you are interested in setting up a meeting or have more questions, please complete our Adoption Inquiry form ! Story
Apple is a sweet kitty with a big personality. He's a handsome Siamese lynx point tabby mix with a cute short tail. He can’t help but be the center of attention because he is vocal, social, and engaging. He's a strong alpha male. Apple is smart, independent, and doesn’t hesitate to add his thoughts to the conversation. He truly loves being petted! He is a good pal and faithful companion. He likes to interact and play with other cats and toys. Apple is FIV+ but you would never know he has a manageable immune system condition. He is healthy, active, and is expected to live a normal cat lifespan.  Apple must be on a prescription food diet to prevent urinary blockage for his entire life. It is readily available and the diet has kept the issue under control. His ideal guardian is one with experience reading cat body language and who can be confident and firm with him, as well as gentle, to gain his trust. He needs an adults only home preferably with another cat. He would probably adapt to a calm dog with careful introductions. His estimated birth date is September 2020. Kitty Bio #581LRo-Ap.  &#226&#151&#128&#239&#184&#143 scroll down for clip   If you're interested in adopting Apple or another of our cats, please fill out our adoption questionnaire at http://icraeastbay.org/adopt/how-to/.March 16, 2026, 8:05 pm

Story
Hello, my name is Sugar and yes, I am very sweet! I've been told I am quite beautiful, with my blue eyes and Siamese markings. I was born to a pregnant stray and was rescued by a neighbor. I'm still quite young — just born in December 2024. (My photos with one of my siblings are from March 2025, but newer photos are coming soon!) I'm actually at a perfect age because my personality is starting to shine. I'm a smart, happy and playful girl, extremely affectionate and a purr baby. I love to chat and will sleep right next to your pillow. I get along fine with other cats, but have never met a dog. I have been fixed and am ready for my forever home! For more information about adopting me, please text Deborah at 510-909-4961 (or leave a message) or email her at angusnfriends@outlook.com. All Angus & Friends cats are healthy, fixed, vaccinated and microchipped prior to adoption.  March 10, 2026, 6:57 pm
