Story
Best Match : Seeking an adopter with substantial experience Would be most comfortable in a calm adult only home Needs to be the only cat Needs to be indoor only Mocha is a girl that likes things on her terms- when to be pet and when to play! She needs an adopter that is familiar with cat body language and knows and respects boundaries. Once you have this down- she will be giving you head butts, leg rubs and snuggling into your chest while you are sleeping.  Her foster says: "She loves to lounge around in her cat bed or watch out the windows. She is curious about any work that I do around the house, but leaves me alone at my computer desk, save for putting her paws on the side of my chair when she wants pets or playtime." If you have the patience and love for this pretty gal, and experience living with cats- especially ones with some behavior challenges-she could be just the thing for your calm household! She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested negative for FeLV and FIV. If you are interested in setting up a meeting or have more questions, please complete our Adoption Inquiry form ! Story
Best Match: Seeking an adopter with some experience Could join a quiet home with teens Part of a bonded pair with Dallas Needs an inhaler twice daily Needs to be indoor only Beautiful Siamese girl Honolulu is quick to purr, enjoys some lap time, and loves loves loves to be pet! Need to know more? She’s bonded to sister Dallas and both are excellent at making biscuits.  Honolulu loves to play (on her own or with Dallas) and is a creative and avid hunter! She can play with just about anything by chasing, “capturing” and carrying her prey in her mouth while parading around the house and meowing. Sounds like a photo op!  The preferred daily routine begins with pets and playtime before breakfast. The rest of the day is spent playing, sleeping, and exploring along with sisterly snuggling and grooming. Honolulu is a vocal girl and will sometimes alert her person if she’s hungry and dinner has yet to be served. She may also ask your opinion — play or pets or both before mealtime? Both Honolulu and Dallas are still working on their confidence, and need time getting to know new people. They might also look like they want to jump on the couch and sit in the lap of their human or nearby, and maybe someday they will! Honolulu has asthma and is currently taking pills while she learns to use an inhaler. She’s very smart and her foster has been working to build positive associations with the process to make it less stressful. Her adopter will need to continue providing a low stress routine, and consult with their vet on her continued care. They are spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested negative for FeLV and FIV. If you are interested in setting up a meeting or have more questions, please complete our Adoption Inquiry form ! Story
Best Match: Seeking an adopter with some experience Could join a quiet home with teens Part of a bonded pair with Honolulu Needs to be indoor only Dallas was made for a life of leisure & luxury and she knows it. In cat terms - that’s a warm place for extended lounging, lots of scritches and belly rubs on her schedule, and lots of food and treats, sometimes when you’re not looking.  Dallas is quite different from her sister in certain ways. She spends less time and enthusiasm playing and is more picky about her toys. A sparkly blue ball is her current favorite and she loves to carry it around. Most of the time, Dallas prefers to sit under the coffee table and will paw or bat at things that are being dragged in front of her. This sweet girl’s idea of the perfect day would be sleeping in, lounging all day (preferably in a heated bed) and eating. Although the daily routine should include her adored belly rubs, it needs to be on her terms. She can overstimulate a little with petting, and will let you know when you’ve crossed her boundaries with her paw or a gentle nip.  Dallas and her sister like to be near each other as much as possible throughout the day including lots of snuggling. They also groom one another regularly, which can sometimes lead to wrestling. Fortunately, they are pretty good at sharing time and attention and don't mind when one cat steps in on the other! That’s important because both girls like being near their humans. Both girls are a little skittish around new people. Like most cats, they will need time to warm up in a new environment. When Dallas gets comfortable she will likely have a lot to say as does Honolulu. Dallas is also very food motivated, and does not seem to have any treat preference as long as it is a treat! They are spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested negative for FeLV and FIV. If you are interested in setting up a meeting or have more questions, please complete our Adoption Inquiry form ! Story
Best Match : Seeking an adopter with some experience Could join a calm home with older cat savvy kids May be ok with other cats Needs to be indoor only Needs a monthly arthritis injection and wet food only Beautiful Misha is a delightful combination of independent and affectionate. She’s also a total cuddle bug! Misha can be a little wary when meeting new people, but once you show your love and affection, you’ll earn her trust. If you want to make her extra happy, head and body scratches are the way to go. She also adores being brushed and appreciates a heating pad. Misha is shy when meeting new people and usually hides, but learns to trust regular visitors.  This sweet girl’s daily routine will adjust to yours for bedtime and meals, except she’ll probably still be sleeping when you get up. Misha eats breakfast, enjoys an early dinner and a late night snack. Fair warning, she may occasionally give you some adorable sass if you’re not fast enough with her food. She always likes to be near her person including if you're home working during the day.. Misha has her own senior-style of energetic play that only lasts a few minutes at a time, preferably with the rainbow ribbon wand toy. She might try to catch it with her mouth or swat with her front paws while staying in place. She may also run around the house once she’s settled in.  As a senior, Misha does require a wet food diet as she’s had all her teeth removed, and this helps to prevent further irritation. She also has arthritis which is managed with a monthly injection given at the vet’s office. Overall, she is just a super sweet cat, according to her foster. Misha is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested negative for FeLV and FIV. If you are interested in setting up a meeting or have more questions, please complete our Adoption Inquiry form ! Story
Petie is an extra large cool drink of chocolate milk. He has the look of a Siamese cat mixed with a pot-bellied pig because of his little corkscrew tail. He is a gentle and easygoing guy who loves to cuddle with his people on the couch. This tall dreamy boy likes to look deep into your soul with his baby blue eyes. He also appreciates treats and likes to play a little.    Petie would do well in a home with adults or with cat savvy kids over the age of eight. He has lived with dogs before and would be OK with a calm dog. He has lived as a solo cat as well as with other cats and gets along well with everyone. We estimate Petie was born around August 11, 2019. Kitty Bio #581LRo-Pe. â–¶ï¸ scroll down for clips If you're interested in adopting Buster, or another of our cats, please fill out our adoption questionnaire at icraeastbay.org/adopt/how-to/.  June 29, 2026, 9:30 pm

Story
At the very beginning of Lily's life, someone was nice to her. If a kitten isn't handled regularly between about four to eight weeks of age, they usually become feral and untouchable. But someone touched Lily. In the summer of 2025, Lily showed up in the scrapyard of a factory in East Oakland. She was only about four months old. Lily started making regular appearances at the 5 pm feeding of the factory's feral cat colony. Lily initially spent most of her time hiding, as she was scared of the other, bigger cats. Over time, Lily started coming closer and closer to the person who fed her. Finally, one day she let that person pet her and bring her to her foster home. Lily is now fostered in a loving home, and it has been fun watching her blossom into a house cat. Everything about indoor life was new to her, but as Lily has gotten more relaxed and confident, she has started showing her rambunctious kitten energy and playfulness! Lily loves to run, play, look at birds, and cuddle with you in bed. Lily will do best in a calm, patient home, where has time to settle in and get to know her people. Lily can be quite shy with new people at first, but is easily won over by a Churu treat! Lily would do well as an only cat, as long as her human(s) are home a lot and she gets plenty of playtime. She would likely do well with an easygoing, playful cat companion who can help build her confidence as an indoor cat, given the proper introduction. Lily has not been around children or dogs, but she may do well with gentle children age 12+. Her estimated date of birth is April 1, 2025. Kitty Bio #1022KM-Li. â–¶ï¸ scroll down for clips If you're interested in adopting Lily, or another of our cats, please fill out our adoption questionnaire at icraeastbay.org/adopt/how-to.June 29, 2026, 9:30 pm

Story
Best Match:  Seeking an adopter with some cat experience Could join a calm home with older kids May prefer home with other cats   Needs to be indoor only Say "g'day, mate" to Melbourne!  This 5-year-old Snowshoe mix is full of  easygoing charm and a has a knack for making himself part of whatever you're doing. This friendly fellow enjoys spending time near his people, whether that means plopping down beside you on the couch or following along to investigate your latest project. He likes being included, loves to chat, and is happiest when he can keep you company throughout the day.  Melbourne definitely enjoys the challenge of a couple of interactive play sessions each day, and he is also extremely food-motivated.  After receiving treatment for severe dental disease, Melbourne no longer has any teeth—but don't tell him that. He still enthusiastically enjoys treats and mealtime and doesn't let his toothless grin slow him down one bit.  Although Melbourne enjoys affection, he's the type of cat who prefers to set the pace. A few gentle head and cheek scratches are usually just right, and he'll let you know when he's in the mood for attention.  He's looking for a home that will appreciate his companionship, respect his boundaries, and enjoy the quiet pleasure of having a loyal feline sidekick by their side. Melbourne is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. He is positive for FIV and negative for FELV. If you are interested in setting up a meeting or have more questions, please complete our Adoption Inquiry form: form.jotform.com/cattownoak/adoption-inquiries. A note about Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV):  Cats with FIV can live long, healthy lives and make wonderful companions. The virus can't be given to humans, and doesn’t spread easily between cats, so they can safely live with FIV-negative cats. We often house them together at Cat Town!  With simple care, FIV-positive cats thrive. Keeping them indoors, feeding a balanced diet, and scheduling regular vet checkups (about every six months) helps them stay happy and healthy for years to come. June 29, 2026, 7:36 pm
