Story
May and her roommates (Raj, Nara, and Kip) were rescued from an apartment complex by a neighbor after their owner passed away. They had been thrown outside by the building landlord, and were quite nervous when they came in. May is still adjusting. She is a very scared cat, which manifests in defensive behaviors. She is coming around slowly, and very clearly wants to engage with people, but she is often bullied by Raj when she tries to get close to people and reverts back to hiding. She has the potential to be an excellent cat, but she will require an adopter willing to work with her. She will need to go to a household without dogs or small children, and would do best with either another friendly cat or by herself. If you are interested in meeting May, please text us at 213-840-0153 for a pre-adoption questionnaire. Once we receive your inquiry, we will do our best to text you back in a timely manner.

WE ONLY REPLY TO ADOPTION APPLICATIONS SUBMITTED THROUGH OUR WEBSITE, SAVEKITTENSLA.ORG BONDED PAIR Meet Gizmo (Siamese) and Skylar (gray and white tuxie)! If a high-energy kitten is what you're looking for, Gizmo is the one for you! He LOVES attention and to be involved in everything you're doing. He plays hard, sleeps hard, and eats like food is going out of style. He is a curious little explorer who always wants to see what is on the other side of a door, or in a drawer, or under a bed. Mostly, Gizmo is just a big ol' love bug. This handsome boy loves laps, purring, and being the center of attention. He loves to cuddle right up next to you in bed at night, once he's finished playing with his sister Skylar of course! Please note that based on his foster's experience with Gizmo, we believe that he may be deaf. Skylar is a sweet and shy little girl who has come a long way but still is a bit unsure about people. When she feels safe, she loves to play with her toys, jump and run, and have a good time. She doesn't hide when her foster mom is in the room with her, but is still a little unsure of petting, even though she does seem to enjoy it just a little bit now. She loses a bit of her fear when treats are involved but usually retreats a bit when the treats are gone. She is not aggressive in any way, just scared and still learning to trust. All this beautiful girl needs is a little time and patience to allow her true personality to emerge. If you're ready to become a paw parent to this sweet duo, please head to SaveKittensLA.org & send us an adoption application! We do very high volume spay/neuter, but we take an extremely personalized approach to all the babies we rescue. We NEVER adopt kitties who will be allowed to go outside or declawed & we require all our adopters understand a FOREVER home means 15+ years. Please note all applicants will be subject to a home check before an adoption is finalized.

Story
DOB: 01/29/2021 Bobby may have a distinctive head tilt, but don't let that fool you — he's a spirited and resilient feline who's ready to bring joy into your life. His unique orange flame-point coloring is simply breathtaking and adds to his charm. Despite some initial shyness, Bobby warms up to his human companions and is sure to be a loyal and loving friend. Bobby’s head tilt is due to an old injury that caused nerve damage. It doesn’t affect his day-to-day life, and he's just like any other cat. In fact, Bobby's head tilt is a testament to his journey, and he's a living example that adversity can't hold back a determined spirit.  Give Bobby a chance, and you'll discover the special bond that can form between a patient, loving human and a remarkable cat. Together, you'll embark on a heartwarming journey filled with love and understanding. And, if you’re looking for double the joy, Bobby would do well with his lookalike adorable brother, Ignacio.  If you are interested in learning more about this kitty or in adopting him, please click here to email his foster parent. If you are unable to send an email to the foster parent through the link included above, please contact us and let us know what kitty you're interested in.  You may also fill out our adoption questionnaire to speed up the screening process.  Be sure to name the cat in the CAT PREFERENCE field at the beginning of the questionnaire. Story
DOB:08/01/2022 Meet Dewey! Dewey is a sweet and curious cat. He enjoys spending his days exploring his surroundings and lounging around. Dewey loves playtime and enjoys snack time. He is a purr machine and enjoys being held. Dewey is a tripod cat, but that doesn't stop him in any way. He gets around just fine on three legs. Dewey would make a great addition to any family. He has tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). FIV is not a big deal; given proper care and attention, an FIV+ cat will live the same lifespan as an FIV negative cat. The disease is extremely hard to transmit from cat to cat, requiring direct blood contact (typically from a deep puncture wound). It is not transmissable to humans. Click here for a basic FAQ about FIV. If you'd like to read a much more detailed and comprehensive FAQ about FIV, we recommend this site.
