Meet MIKAELA SHIFFURIN! One of six kittens named for ailurophilic professional athletes, this cutie is alive today because a Good Samaritan found her and her littermates sick and abandoned underneath a car in Garden Grove, and instead of doing nothing, spent his day crisscrossing the city from shelter to shelter trying to found one that would accept them. When that failed, he took to NextDoor and connected with us. When they arrived five weeks ago, Mikaela and her siblings were emaciated, flea infested, parasite-ridden, and plagued with URIs. Today, they are fat, happy, healthy, and active, and ready to make loving companions to their lucky adopters. Mikaela is 10 weeks old and vaccinated, microchipped, flea treated, dewormed, FIV/FeLV negative, and spayed. Think this cathlete is right for you? Fill out an application and come meet her today!

Meet Pixie Pawlite! Along with her sister and mother, Pixie came to us by way of a Good Samaritan in Irvine who welcomed a friendly stray into her home back in November. When in January the cat surprised her by giving birth in her garage, she quickly set about finding a rescue to take on the whole family. Now that Pixie's sister and mother have been adopted, this gorgeous young lady is looking for a home of her own. Playful, affectionate, outgoing, and oh so chatty, Pixie's ideal home would include her BFF and partner in crime, Violet Catski. As with all of our cats and kittens, Pixie is vaccinated, microchipped, flea treated, dewormed, FIV/FeLV tested, and spayed.

#A5688205 Kitty is a gorgeous male cat whose owner surrendered him to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on March 26. He had a severe laceration to one of his back legs and was taken to an outside vet where he underwent an amputation. Kitty’s incision has healed quite nicely and he is ready to find his new human companion or family.  Kitty is such a nice feline. At the time he was brought in with his leg injury, which had to be quite painful, he allowed the Vet to examine him. The day we met Kitty for the first time to take his photos, he was so nice and trusting. We love his light blue, slightly crossed eyes. He’s beautiful and sweet. He’s purrfect!  Kitty is very young, so there’s certainly a kitten side just waiting to burst out once he’s home with his new human or family. Kitty is… -1 year, 7 months -Weighs 7.5 lbs. -Neutered -Vaccinated -Microchipped -Ready to go home! At 6 years old, our professional handsome boy Choccy is a handful. This good looking Siamese snow shoe mix is not going to be an easy cat and will not be the right fit in every home. Smart and sassy, he does not like everyone, especially other boy cats. But expect him to be a very loyal fella if you have won his heart. Behind those baby blues is a very sensitive cat who is incredibly food motivated, so if you are looking to win him over be prepared to provide structure to his feeding habits. Rocky is one of the most handsome, charming, and loving 3-legged kitties that you will ever meet. Though he has only 3 legs, he runs, jumps, and plays just like every other kitty his age.
