Story
Frankie found himself abandoned and trying to survive in a bad neighborhood. Cars speed through the area and there is a lot of crime. Frankie is now the greeter at our clinic as he likes to hang out in the parking lot during the day and comes in at night. He is a great mouse-catcher and would do really well in a home with a safe yard so he can continue to go in and out as he wishes. He has been fully vetted, neutered & microchipped. He is a beautiful, sweet guy that deserves a safer environment than our spay neuter clinic. Apply to adopt Frankie at: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SATG-A-871

Story
Honey is beautiful cat that loves affection but will let you know when she’s had enough love. She loves to be brushed , play with her scratching post and toys. She stay on tasks and daily routines, but will let you know if you’re a minute late. She gets along with other cats but will also do great as an only cat. She don’t mind small dogs but will take some time, patience and proper introduction. Honey is a very sweet girl looking for an adopter that is patient and understands her likes and dislikes. You can see in her eyes that she just wants to be loved. Honey was a young mom that had a litter of 3 babies that are now all grown up and looking for their forever home, she was an amazing mom to them.

Story
Meet Holly! Brought into a public shelter, Holly was grievously injured and was to be euthanized but she was so friendly, wanting to be petted, purring through her pain that shelter staff advocated for her and one even offered to foster her if we would take her! She had surgery to repair her badly fractured jaw and is undergoing physical therapy for her arm which sustained nerve damage. She gets around great, uses her box, is so loving and just wants to cuddle! She's had a couple foster caregivers through her recovery and care and they just love her but are not in a position to adopt her. She is a favorite at the various vet clinics she's gone to, always so patient and easy. She has an incredible spirit which shone through, along with her will to live, even when she first came into the shelter, so broken. It is what the staff saw in her and what saved her. Can you now give her the forever home she so deserves?April 23, 2024, 8:36 pm

Story
DOB 04/03/2021 Wilbur is funny, handsome, playful and lovable. He likes to play chase with his friends and can climb very well. Wilbur is a very special guy but nothing keeps him from having fun and enjoying life. Wilbur gets along with other kitty’s and likes having a playmate but he is also very good at cat naps and cuddles! Wilbur has a spinal abnormality that is congenital. There isn't anything to be done and as the specialist said "he's perfect just the way he is". Wilbur has always been healthy and full of energy. He taught himself how to walk and nothing slows him down! He will need some accommodations just to make things a little easier now and in the future but he has a heart of gold and is more than worth any extra he might need. Wilbur gets around very well, we provide cat trees to get up and down and he can manage a couple steps but would do best in a home that is level/one story. He is good with people although a little shy until he gets to know you. Accommodations - A few sturdy cat trees and litter box that is a little lower in the front, and a good healthy diet to keep him lean and at a good weight, but other than that he’s just a regular guy. Wilbur would love to be adopted into a home with another kitty close to his age so he will have a playmate and someone to keep him company when his humans are away. He also has a few friends that are available for adoption as well if your looking for a pair. Please find applications on our website. http://houseofbrokencookies.com/ Or Email us at: houseofbrokencookies@gmail.com Prior to adoption, all cats have the following services: *Spay or Neuter *3 in 1 Vaccination *De-wormed *Treated for fleas *Tested for FIV/FELV *Micro-Chipped

Story
Meet Eleanor! We’re looking for a special adopter who’s willing to put more work into this beautiful girl. She’s coming out of her shell nicely and can use continuous confidence building. She loves to be brushed and to get gentle petting. She can be picked up and held. She’s sweet and gets along well with other kitties. She’s curious and playful. We couldn’t leave her behind when we rescued her sick kitten. She’s making great progress since rescued and would love to see her in a wonderful home where she feels safe and loved. Eleanor is being adopted through the San Gabriel Valley Animal Advocates. If you are interested in adopting Eleanor, please submit an adoption application at http://www.sgvaa.org and we will get back to you as soon as we can. Your adoption donation allows us to rescue the next kitty from the streets and pay for all their health and medical needs. Most of our adoptable pets live in loving foster homes. We can arrange meet-and-greets with our foster families, at our live-in habitats in the West Covina and El Monte Petcos, as well as at the Huntington Beach (Edinger) PetSmart. SGVAA is an all-volunteer, non-profit rescue organization serving the San Gabriel Valley area. For more information on how you can help your community, please visit: www.sgvaa.org Their Adoption Process If you are interested in any of our adoptable pets or have additional questions, please fill out an adoption application and we will get back to you as soon as we can. Since we are an all-volunteer organization, it may take us within 24-48 hours to respond. Our little fur babies are so adorable that sometimes we get multiple applications for one pet! So if the pet you are interested in is no longer available there is no need to worry! We have plenty of friends who are furry! As part of the adoption process, we screen each new potential owner, and do home visits to ensure that an animal and owner are a good match. Once your adoption application has been approved, we will have you fill out a Pet Promise Certificate (adoption contract) *SGVAA’s adoption donation allows us to rescue the next kitty from the streets and pay for all of their health and welfare needs (spay, neuter, shots, deworming, flea meds, microchip) *We also provide free home delivery of your new kitty/kitties! About This Rescue SGVAA is dedicated to the protection and humane treatment of pets in the San Gabriel Valley area. We encourage people to rescue a homeless animal instead of buying one. Our organization also educates the community on the importance of early vaccinations for fatal and easily preventable diseases. We also advocate spaying or neutering to reduce pet overpopulation. Once an animal is in our care we vaccinate all rescues against disease & provide needed health care, fight pet overpopulation by spaying or neutering all rescues, and provide lifetime shelter and care to any rescued animal that is not adopted. Come Meet Their Pets Most of our adoptable pets live in loving foster homes. For interested adopters, we can arrange meet-and-greets with our foster families, at our live-in habitats in the West Covina and El Monte Petcos, as well as at the Huntington Beach (Edinger) Petsmart. Story
Larry, Harry, Perry, Jerry, Gary and Karrie arrived as sick kittens with giardia and respiratory infections.   Giardia was treated and they have all tested negative multiple times. The respiratory viruses, which most cats have been exposed to, continues to cause some of them to get sick from time to time, sometimes requiring eye medication. Our vet also mentioned cats in a shelter environment are constantly exposed and constantly stressed - that causes respiratory infection flare ups. Once these cats are adopted into homes usually the symptoms go away, although occasional flare-ups may still occur. Gary looks most like Larry – almost all white – but with orange around his nose and lighter blue eyes. Gary is the shyest one of the group. Larry is the smallest of the group. He is almost entirely white with steel blue-gray eyes, with one exception: his light orange striped tail. Harry is one cool black cat, complete with black button nose and green eyes. Harry can also be a little shy but warms up quickly and likes attention. Perry is all mackerel tabby. He has strong black and tan markings and a very discernable “M” on his forehead. Perry is sweet and likes attention but can be a bit shy at first. Jerry, an orange and white tabby. Friendly and very playful, Jerry craves human attention and interaction. He has golden eyes and a pink button nose. Please submit an application to adopt one of the cats at www.AALOC.org. Once your application is reviewed and approved we will contact you to make an appointment to visit us at AALOC to meet the selected cat (or cats!) and get to know him (or them!) a bit. Donation of $100 for cat adoption includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, and a microchip. Applications require a veterinary reference and home visit. We adopt to residents of Orange County, CA and surrounding areas. Please note: For families with children, we require children to be 10 years of age or older, although exceptions are made depending on the circumstances. For more information on adoption policies visit our cat adoption page at www.aaloc.org. Contact us by e-mail at aaloc@aaloc.org.
