Story
Coco is sponsored by: Karen Langland SNAP Cats rescued Coco from San Francisco, CA. Coco has joined The 60% Club! Coco came to SNAP Cats FeLV+ in February 2026. Since she’s been so active and healthy, we tested her again and she tested negative! So she’s out and about in our general population. For those who don’t know, 60% of adult cats with FeLV can naturally shed the virus, and stay virus-free for the rest of their lives. Coco makes number 12 (out of 19 cats) that’ve naturally shed the virus here. Congrats, Coco! Coco is extremely sweet and outgoing. She’s then first kitty to greet you when entering our FeLV+ Habitat, and hounds you for pets and attention until you leave. Coco is great with other cats, kids, and uses the litter box 100% of the time. Here's Coco's whole story: Coco was given to Mike Zeidan, of Randa's Market in San Francisco, to be a mouser. Mike’s previous store kitty was the beloved KitKat who lived at the market for 8 years before being run over and killed by a Waymo car. You might have heard about this incident. It was all over the news and was quite traumatic for Mike and the 16th street community, who all knew and loved KitKat. So Mike took Coco in to be spayed and was crushed when Coco turned out to be FeLV+. He was going to return Coco to the original guardian until he found out there were other cats living there. Now what? Enter Karen, a huge SNAP Cats supporter. Karen knows Mike through her hubby, Rick, who works at the Roxie theater next door Mike’s Market and who helped Mike navigate the whole publicity generated by the Waymo death of KitKat. Still following? So Karen reached out to us… And the rest is history.August 24, 2026, 5:13 pm

Story
Merlin is Sponsored by: Margaret Loftus SNAP Cats rescued Merlin from Madera County, CA. Merlin is a real sweetheart. He loves human attention, and gets along with other kitties. Merlin’s head tilt is due to a bad untreated ear infection. We think it adds a lot of character! We believe Merlin’s twisted rear leg is a birth defect. None of this matters because Merlin gets around just fine. He’s a low maintenance kitty who deserves a wonderful, loving home. Is that your home? PLEASE NOTE: Merlin is currently spraying. We don’t know if it’s because of the environment here (other cats spraying) or not, but this should be taken into consideration. If you’re interested in Merlin please fill out an adoption application at https://www.snapcats.org/adoption-process/. Thanks!August 24, 2026, 5:13 pm

Story
Hello, This is Elsa, shes approx 3yrs old, she has no teeth due to a mouth issue she had since she was young, but the doesn’t stop her from eating anything she wants! Unfortunately I have a child who’s allergic and despite our efforts, it’s just not comfortable for them. Elsa, is absolute sweetheart - my daughter loves to hold her like a baby, and she enjoys being snuggled in a blanket. I would say Elsa is needle in a haystack type of cat, you only get lucky with such a calm and attention seeking cat every so often. We are looking for someone to give her all that she deserves and more! Due to her having no teeth, is required she remain indoors at all times. ( She’s good with cats and SMALL dogs. Preferably kids over 5yrs old. )

Story
This is honestly one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make. I love my cat dearly, but she has been dealing with ongoing rashes and skin issues, and unfortunately, the medications and treatments we’ve tried haven’t seemed to make things better. I’ve reached a point where, financially, I simply cannot continue to provide the medical care she needs, and admitting that breaks my heart. I absolutely do not want to surrender her to a shelter because I would never forgive myself if she ended up without a loving home or was euthanized because of her medical needs. She deserves so much more than that. My only hope is to find someone who will love her, be patient with her, and give her the care I’m no longer financially able to provide. She can be very shy and timid when she first meets someone, but once she feels safe and comfortable, she becomes such a loving, sweet, affectionate girl. This isn’t because I don’t love her or don’t want her anymore. I’m making this decision as a plea

Story
Harmony is a very sweet boy that just wants all your attention. He loves lap time and will sleep right next to you all night. Due to a bad case of gingivitis he had to have all his teeth removed, but that doesn’t hold him back on eating mostly dry food. His gums occasionally gets infected and needs an antibiotic. Since getting his teeth removed he has not gotten along with his sister and needs to find a home where he is the only pet. He is very dramatic and will be very broken hearted at first though should bond with lots of attention and time. He definitely had the goofy orange gene and make you laugh everyday.

Story
Prince may be shy at first, but don’t let his quiet demeanor fool you—this noble feline has a heart as golden as his name! His favorite place is his cozy “castle”—a soft bed, carrier, or a cardboard box with a blanket, where he feels safe and secure. Recently, Prince has begun leaving his fortress to perch on the cat tower, where he enjoys surveilling his kingdom. He’ll graciously sniff your hand and may accept a toy as a friendly offering, though you’ll have to earn his trust for head pats! Ready to pledge your loyalty to cat royalty? Adopt Prince today!
