Story
Merlin is Sponsored by: Margaret Loftus SNAP Cats rescued Merlin from Madera County, CA. Merlin is a real sweetheart. He loves human attention, and gets along with other kitties. Merlin’s head tilt is due to a bad untreated ear infection. We think it adds a lot of character! We believe Merlin’s twisted rear leg is a birth defect. None of this matters because Merlin gets around just fine. He’s a low maintenance kitty who deserves a wonderful, loving home. Is that your home? PLEASE NOTE: Merlin is currently spraying. We don’t know if it’s because of the environment here (other cats spraying) or not, but this should be taken into consideration. If you’re interested in Merlin please fill out an adoption application at https://www.snapcats.org/adoption-process/. Thanks!October 15, 2024, 5:39 pm

Story
Big Boy is a special kitty looking for a special forever home. This handsome Siamese fella was rescued from a hoarding situation alongside several other cats and now he is the last one left waiting for a home. Big Boy is mostly blind, and even though he can't see a great deal of the world around him, he still has some pep in his step and can make his way around surprisingly well. He can be shy with humans, especially new people since he can't really see them, but once you've earned his trust, Big Boy is a big love. His ideal home would be quiet, with adults who are cat savvy and are willing to be patient as he settles into his new home. We think he would also greatly benefit from having another cat companion to help him navigate his new home and build his confidence in the world around him. If you are interested in meeting Big Boy, please fill out an application on our website: forgottenfelines.com/cat-app

Story
Appa is a beautiful young lady who came to Forgotten Felines from a very rough situation. Unfortunately, Appa was not treated very nicely by people before she came to us, so she learned to be scared of humans. She has since been in a lovely foster home with fantastic people who are slowly but surely showing Appa that she does not need to be afraid. This darling kitten has shown so much promise, while she still is shy of people when they approach her, Appa will happily snuggle in for a purr-filled nap if you settle her into your lap. We think Appa would do best in a quiet forever home where she can have people who are calm, patient, and willing to continue to work with her to help build up her confidence. Appa would also do well with a friendly and brave feline companion to also help her come out of her shell. If you are interested in meeting Appa, please fill out an application on our website: forgottenfelines.com/cat-app

Story
Meet Lucca, a 6-year-old Siamese with big blue eyes and a big personality. He’s an affectionate boy who loves being near his person, “talking”, meditating or watching TV by your side. He’ll do best in a calm home with someone who appreciates a sensitive, sweet companion. Fun facts about Lucca: - Is about 6 years old and was adopted when he was about 8 weeks old. He was spayed. - He Is an indoor cat - He is definitely an alpha cat. He has been around one other cat but not dogs. He loves catching bugs and eating them. He also likes chasing his tail. - If you meditate or watch TV he will be right next to you. He loves calm music. - He just had a rabies shot and is up to date with his shots. - He is loving and loves to be with you. He will randomly talk in “Siamese “ and want to know you're nearby. - He is intuitive and will do his version of “ placement of paws” if you are sick or upset. - He is quixotic and sudden movements near his head or loud sounds can scare him. - He has always been an indoor cat, however we have an upper deck he goes on that is totally enclosed. - He loves a large, cleaned daily litter box. He doesn't like the fancy litter boxes that rotate around to disperse the poop as much. - He is gorgeous and has large blue eyes. He loves to be brushed with the cat brush that sprays water while you brush him. - If you wrap him like a burrito, he will let you cut his nails. He loves scratching posts especially if it is spayed with catnip spray. - He is lovingly called Lucca or Lucca Bucca. This cat is considered a Courtesy Listing. Jake’s Place offers our services to help other responsible rescue groups or individuals find good homes for cats in need. We have screened and interviewed each of the individuals before agreeing to post their cats.
