Story
Meet Suri! A sweet, petite mama cat with a gentle soul and a softer side she saves for the right people. She came to us as a stray, navigating the world on her own terms, and now she's ready to find a quiet place to truly call home. Suri is friendly and curious, but she won't rush into your lap on day one. With a little patience and space to settle in at her own pace, she will blossom into a warm, affectionate companion. Suri would thrive in a calm indoor home where she can explore safely, decompress slowly, and grow into the confident cat she's becoming. She's looking for someone who understands that the best things are worth waiting for!

Story
Max is a handsome blue-eyed lynx point Siamese mix with a gentle, loving personality. He enjoys cozy spots, relaxing nearby, and bonding with his people once he feels safe and comfortable. Max would do best as the only pet in a quiet, stable home. He has lived in homes with other cats, but multi-cat environments and household changes seem to make him anxious. When stressed, he has had inappropriate urination outside the litter box, which is why I believe he would thrive best in a calm home where he does not need to share space with other pets. Max is microchipped and up to date on shots. He is looking for a patient adopter who understands that some cats need time, consistency, and a peaceful environment to feel secure. I have an upcoming move and am hoping to find Max the right home soon, with the priority being a great long-term fit. If you think you can offer Max a calm home and a fresh start, please reach out.

Story
I adopted Dasha from a shelter, and she is about 2.5 years old. Unfortunately, I’ve developed a severe allergy to cats since bringing her home, which has led to asthma and the need for daily medication. In addition, I’m no longer able to afford the potential medical care she may need, as she is at risk for conditions like diabetes and stomatitis. Because of this, I’m looking for a loving home that is able to support her health needs and give her the care she deserves. Dasha is up to date on all of her vaccinations. She can be a little shy at first, but once she warms up, she is incredibly sweet, affectionate, and cuddly. She loves to sleep beside you at night, suckle on fingers, and roll around while playing. She has a wonderful temperament and has always been very easygoing—she’s never had any issues with nail trims or brushing her teeth. I’m hoping to find her a caring, stable home where she can live a happy and comfortable life.

Story
Elsa — Gentle, Rare, and Learning to Trust Again  Hi… I’m Elsa. I’m a beautiful flame point Siamese (and yes, I’ve heard I’m a bit rare for a girl like me), but more than anything, I’m just a quiet soul looking for my person again. I originally came from ACT S/N Clinic in Stockton and was adopted as a kitten. I spent years in a home where I bonded deeply with my person — he was my human. When he passed away, my world changed. And when my family could no longer keep me, I found my way back to safety with Give Me Shelter. It’s been a lot. I’m in foster now, starting over. I’m shy at first — I like to take my time and figure things out at my own pace. But underneath that, I’m very sweet… and I do love people. Once I feel safe, I’ll show you. I’ll purr softly. I’ll make biscuits. I’ll sit close and just be with you. I used to be a lap cat, and that part of me is still there… just waiting for the right person to bring it back out. I won’t lie — I’m a bit of a project. I need someone patient, someone who understands that trust takes time. But if you give me that space and kindness, the bond we build will be something really special. I could be happy as your one and only, or I could do well with other calm, respectful cats. Right now, I’m focusing on feeling safe and building my confidence. If you’d like to follow along on my journey, you can find me on Instagram: @purrfect_purrminators Please note: Indoor onlyMore information & application [ts=1777496424&src=aap]

Story
Best Match: Seeking an adopter with some experience Could join a quiet home with teens Part of a bonded pair with Dallas Needs an inhaler twice daily Needs to be indoor only Beautiful Siamese girl Honolulu is quick to purr, enjoys some lap time, and loves loves loves to be pet! Need to know more? She’s bonded to sister Dallas and both are excellent at making biscuits.  Honolulu loves to play (on her own or with Dallas) and is a creative and avid hunter! She can play with just about anything by chasing, “capturing” and carrying her prey in her mouth while parading around the house and meowing. Sounds like a photo op!  The preferred daily routine begins with pets and playtime before breakfast. The rest of the day is spent playing, sleeping, and exploring along with sisterly snuggling and grooming. Honolulu is a vocal girl and will sometimes alert her person if she’s  hungry and dinner has yet to be served. She may also ask your opinion — play or pets or both before mealtime? Both Honolulu and Dallas are still working on their confidence. Sometimes they look like they want to jump on the couch and sit in the lap of their human or nearby, according to their foster. They are also wary around new people. Honolulu has asthma and is currently taking pills while she learns to use an inhaler. She’s very smart and her foster has been working to build positive associations with the process to make it less stressful. Her adopter will need to continue providing a low stress routine, and consult with their vet on her continued care. They are spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested negative for FeLV and FIV. If you are interested in setting up a meeting or have more questions, please complete our Adoption Inquiry form !
