Story
If you’ve ever wished for a cat who’s equal parts social butterfly, gentle soul, and playful explorer, Tom Nook is your guy! This handsome 2-year-old Siamese mix got his name from the beloved Animal Crossing raccoon - his striped back and tail make the resemblance uncanny. But unlike his namesake, Tommy won’t charge you rent—he’ll just ask for a few feather toys and a cozy lap now and then. Tommy is an incredibly easygoing and affectionate boy who adapts quickly to new environments. Whether he’s meeting new people (he loves strangers!) or exploring a new space, he does it all with calm curiosity and confidence. He’s not overly needy, but he adores interacting with his humans, especially when it involves interactive toys that move or feathers to chase! You’ll often find him rolling on his back for belly rubs, softly purring, or gently meowing to say hello. He’s a wonderful listener and observer - his foster mom swears he understands every word she says. When it’s time to rest, Tommy loves to nap on the hardwood floor or his foster mom’s desk, watching the world go by through the window as he people-watches. At night, he might curl up beside you for a short cuddle session before finding his favorite cool spot nearby. He’s also a big fan of being brushed and will happily sit for a spa session - just keep the blow-dryer, blender, and big scary hair clips far away, please! Tommy has been dog-tested and does just fine with small, respectful dogs - he’s indifferent to their presence as long as they give him his space. He’s a sweet, laid-back boy with no mean bone in his body, occasionally getting the zoomies, just to remind you that life is meant to be enjoyed. After a tough start surviving on the streets, Tommy is ready for the calm, loving home he’s always deserved - a place where he can chase feather toys, watch the world from a sunny window, and know he’s finally safe. Tom Nook is ready to meet his forever family - could it be yours? All our cats and kittens are spayed or neutered, tested for FeLV/FIV, FVRCP vaccinated, dewormed, and microchipped. All of our kittens must go to homes where they will remain inside 24/7. We'd love to schedule a meet & greet with you and the kittens! Story
Haneul is a really smart, self-reliant, and lovable cat. She's been trained well as an indoor cat, but she's really good at hunting pests. There shouldn't be any scratching or jumping on the furniture. She is cheerful and attentive to her own affairs. Not at all difficult. She's independent and observant, and she shows her affection in a quiet and subtle way. Sometimes she doesn't like being picked up, but she'll hop into your lap or sit next to you when she wants some love. If she gets too stimulated, she'll walk away. I have her automatic food and water dispenser, and her toys to give you. We got her when she was 4 months old in 2020, so it's really sad that I can't bring her with me.

Story
Meet Lucca, a 6-year-old Siamese with big blue eyes and a big personality. He’s an affectionate boy who loves being near his person, “talking”, meditating or watching TV by your side. He’ll do best in a calm home with someone who appreciates a sensitive, sweet companion. Fun facts about Lucca: - Is about 6 years old and was adopted when he was about 8 weeks old. He was spayed. - He Is an indoor cat - He is definitely an alpha cat. He has been around one other cat but not dogs. He loves catching bugs and eating them. He also likes chasing his tail. - If you meditate or watch TV he will be right next to you. He loves calm music. - He just had a rabies shot and is up to date with his shots. - He is loving and loves to be with you. He will randomly talk in “Siamese “ and want to know you're nearby. - He is intuitive and will do his version of “ placement of paws” if you are sick or upset. - He is quixotic and sudden movements near his head or loud sounds can scare him. - He has always been an indoor cat, however we have an upper deck he goes on that is totally enclosed. - He loves a large, cleaned daily litter box. He doesn't like the fancy litter boxes that rotate around to disperse the poop as much. - He is gorgeous and has large blue eyes. He loves to be brushed with the cat brush that sprays water while you brush him. - If you wrap him like a burrito, he will let you cut his nails. He loves scratching posts especially if it is spayed with catnip spray. - He is lovingly called Lucca or Lucca Bucca. This cat is considered a Courtesy Listing. Jake’s Place offers our services to help other responsible rescue groups or individuals find good homes for cats in need. We have screened and interviewed each of the individuals before agreeing to post their cats.

Best Match: Seeking an adopter with moderate cat experience Could join a quiet home with cat savvy teens Part of a bonded pair Needs a home without dogs Need to be indoor only Ollie takes daily medication for blood pressure Pip and Ollie are an adorable pair of bonded boys looking for a hero adopter. While initially on the reserved side with new people, once you’ve befriended them, their sweet nature just shines through. As a bonded pair, Pip and Ollie share a deep connection. They sleep together other under the covers, and often groom each other. Both boys enjoy evening escapades, and Ollie even has a nightly routine where he inspects every room in the house, which is very cute. Despite being older cats, this duo can also be quite playful!  Ollie prefers playing with toy mice and balls he can chase, and is happy to entertain himself. As the more outgoing cat of this duo, he loves seeking out attention from his humans for chin scritches! He can still easily startle, so a calm home with a patient adopter will be ideal for him. Ollie also takes a heart medication pill. It’s very easy to administer — he adores munching his pill pocket treats! Pip is sweet and friendly — it just takes a little more time and patience for him to get comfortable with people. Once he feels at home, Pip will play by chasing after mice and leaping high in the air to bat at ribbon toys. He’ll keep you entertained with his acrobatics!  A great way to win this shy lad's trust is by offering treats. Pip and Ollie are ready to be adopted with all of their supplies to make their transition easier. That includes a blood pressure monitor and  complimentary high blood pressure monitoring training — and Cat Town will cover Ollie's blood pressure medication for life.  Pip and Ollie are neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested negative for FeLV and FIV. These distinguished gentlemen are waiting patiently for the great love of their lives. Might that be you?
