Story
Marley, 6, well cared for since 10wks is purebred poodle with stunning white fur, silver patches. Hypoallergenic for allergy sufferers, she is an excited but gentle companion. She enjoys playing yet she's calm, quiet, alert, protective at home. Marley thrives on hugs, kisses, and massages! She's communicative when she needs to go potty. Smart and athletic, Marley enjoys solving puzzles and gets along well with adults, kids, and dogs. Plus, she's already spayed! Marley has separation anxiety and dislikes being indoors alone. She needs another dog, sitter, daycare, or sleep medication when left alone. An ideal home would have a 6ft wood-fenced yard and someone who is with her; perfect for emotional support, retirees, or work from home. With training, she can overcome this limitation. We are only rehoming Marley due to work and no yard but if you're looking for an amazing dog who will be your best buddy, Marley is the one for you! Apply today! We provide toys, food, supplies, vet records.

Story
Meet Teagan!  Earlier in the year we rescued Tate and Truman, 2 standard poodles, along with a poodle mix puppy from Upson County after they had been surrendered to animal control. A couple of weeks ago, we found out the same family had just surrendered 3 more standard poodles. We really take the “You don’t leave family behind” philosophy seriously, so even though it had been months since we saved the first group and we REALLY don’t have room for more dogs - we knew we had to save these guys! Teller was in the worst shape. He was completely matted and caked in mud. And his poor eyes so infected. It took hours to get him cleaned up. If you’ve ever had to shave down a severely matted dog, you’ll know it’s very similar to sheering a sheep - the hair just comes off in one huge piece. Thankfully, the girls Tiggy and Teagan, had been groomed before at some point and were in much better shape.  Our unconfirmed theory is that Teagan (grey) is mom to Teller (black) and Tiggy (blonde). Teller and Tiggy both appear to be about a year old so we think they are probably littermates. Teagan is about 2-3 years old - still young herself. All three of these amazing poodles are super super sweet; great with dogs of all sizes; and cats!! Sweet Teagan was even trying to play with our special little NeuroSpicy girl Sofia on her first night!  These guys are all looking for tried and true Standard Poodle homes. To know poodles is to love them, but these 3 have all been failed by humans once and we won’t let that happen again - so we really do want homes that know all the good, bad, and ugly that comes with having Standard Poodles as family members. Does that sound like you?? Email adrienne@rescuemega.org or fill out an adoption application on our website- www.rmgdogs.org PLEASE NOTE: Prior first hand ownership experience with Standard Poodles is a strict requirement to adopt. Must live in Metro Atlanta and have at least one other playful dog in the home  ##2579219##

Story
A DARLING 'SPECIAL NEEDS' GUY: Approx. 5 years old / Approx. 57 lbs. Hi, I’m Hayes! I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control along with another dog who has already been adopted. I’m in a wonderful foster home while I wait for my new family to adopt me. I’m a sweet boy with a medical condition called Immune-Mediated Thrombocytopenia, which means my immune system can mistakenly attack my platelets. Because of this, I’m on daily immunosuppressant medication and will need regular veterinary visits with and periodic bloodwork to keep my platelets in range. While I’m on the immunosuppressant I shouldn’t go out in crowded public places or be around pets who aren’t fully vaccinated yet. ·   OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I liked the dog I came in with and followed his lead; I also met other dogs at Mostly Mutts and in my temp. foster home and liked them.  My foster reports that I’m polite, calm and observant in a pack and thinks I would thrive with a calm, confident canine companion and likes to play a bit, so if you have a nice dog at home already, let’s meet! / Cats unknown. / I met a nice 10-year-old who visited my foster family, and I was calm and gentle with them, so if you have respectful kids around this age, let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may accidentally bump over.     ·   PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m a calm, thoughtful, and wonderfully curious dog who likes to study the world around me - whether you’re cooking, cleaning, or even putting a bandage on a little boo-boo, I’m there quietly watching, trying to understand it all. In my foster home I choose ‘my person’ and love staying close and keeping them company.  This doesn’t mean I don’t love others, I’m simply the most loyal to my special person. I’m very tuned in to my people’s routines, and I enjoy it when you talk to me and will listen as long as you keep talking. My foster works from home, so I’m the perfect office companion – never disruptive, just peacefully nearby or napping.  I rarely bark, only occasionally when happy or excited.  I’m sweet, gentle, quiet, affectionate, emotionally intelligent and a soft-hearted gentleman that is easy to have around - truly a JACKPOT to my adoptive family. I would be happiest with a stay or work from home family member as I wouldn’t like spending a full workday alone. / Energy level: 4-6 as I am active but not hyper and will join in play when invited and can play for quite a while. ·   SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I know the ‘sit’ and ‘stay’ commands and even offer a ‘paw’. I also ‘come’ when called inside and am very responsive to your voice and tone. I understand routines easily and learn new things with gentle repetition. Like most Poodles, I have the intelligence and focus to pick up training commands quickly, and I’m an excellent listener. / I don’t enjoy being crated, so when I’m left alone for short periods, (typically 2-4 hours) I relax on the cozy bench in my foster’s mudroom or on my favorite sofa spot and wait quietly for my people to come back. I haven’t chewed or gotten into anything. At nighttime, I like to sleep in my dog bed in a quiet corner of my fosters room. / My potty manners have been excellent in my foster home. They take me out on a good schedule, and also I’ll sit by the door if I need to go.  ·   LIKES/DISLIKES:  I enjoy taking long peaceful walks on my foster family’s property, exploring the creek and stepping into the water.  I can go on hikes now but still should not walk in crowded public areas yet due to the medication I’m on.  I also like treats, visitors to my foster home, soft stuffed and squeaky toys  and I’m always up for some gentle play or a little running around with my people. I like staying close to my people watching everything that goes on in the house like a little detective. More than anything, I love being included and feeling like part of whatever you’re doing. / I’m not a fan of being crated, staying outside in bad weather longer than needed, or feeling unsure of things as I am sensitive and thrive with gentle guidance. I also don’t like being hot, so no blankets are needed. I’m also a little picky with my food, and I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. ·   MEDICAL: I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. I take an immunosuppressant medication called Mycophenolate and I’ll need my family to have bloodwork completed in April 2026 to see if I still need to stay on it.  If your considering adding me to your family, Mostly Mutts recommends you talk with your vet. I’m a deeply loyal dog looking for a wonderful family that will treasure me and keep up with my medical needs.  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  February 16, 2026, 5:29 pm

Story
Meet Asher! Asher is an approximately 1 year old (still very puppy like) parti color Standard Poodle. Weighing in at 45 pounds, he’s working on bulking up a bit! Asher is very friendly and affectionate in his foster home. He’s learning not to jump up and give you hugs out of his puppy excitement! He’s housetrained and learning not to lift his leg in inappropriate places and has only done it once! Asher loves to chew, so he only gets chew safe toys, no stuffies. He’s a happy fella and gets along well with other dogs his size with his energy level and playful style. Because he’s still a puppy, he’s been enjoying eating from slow feed bowls and puzzle toys. He loves chewing on Benebones and bully sticks and collagen beef cheek rolls. Asher enjoys being outside with his foster mom and so we are requiring a fenced in yard for him to run and play with you. Because of his puppyness, no small dogs. A dog his size who has plenty of energy for play would be great. If he were your only only dog, keep in mind that he would need plenty of enrichment and activity, including a daily walk. Asher is not a sit on the couch and chill out kind of guy. He settles down great in his crate. He would do well with a family who would enjoy dog sports like agility or nosework, he seems to have the drive for that. Asher, like most Poodles, has a tender heart, so he responds well to positive reinforcement training. He knows sit and shake and clearly would like to learn more stuff! No children under the age of ten as he is still learning not to give everyone the poodle hug! Being a Standard Poodle, Asher will require professional grooming every 6-7 weeks. The cost can on average $100, so his new family would need to be prepared for that. He is learning leash manners and we ask that his new family continue walks for him. Asher is crate trained and settles very well and sleeps all night in a crate. He uses it like his condo, eats his meals in there and feels comfortable being crated. We would like his adoptive family to continue that habit as he’s still a puppy at about 1 year old. Adopters must live in the Atlanta area as a home visit will be done for Asher. If you are interested in adopting, Asher please apply below: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FAY/Dog **Applications can take anywhere from 5-7 business days to complete. When filling out an application, please check for a confirmation email to be sure that your application went through. We respond by email, so please check your spam and trash folders. If you need to reach us regarding your application, the best way to contact us is through email.** We are located in Fayette County, GA and are a foster based rescue without a shelter building.

Story
Meet  Murray Mills , a 10-pound gentleman with a heart as big as his fluffy curls! At 11 years young, this sweet poodle mix is the perfect blend of calm cuddler and occasional goofball — he loves to snuggle but will happily prance around the yard when the mood strikes. Murray enjoys his neighborhood walks and greets everyone he meets with a wagging tail and pure joy — men, women, and small dogs alike. A happy boy, Murray also gets adorable spurts of energy and when he does his smile melts hearts. He’s fully potty trained, walks nicely on a leash, and thrives on companionship, so he’d love a home where someone is around most of the time to keep him company. Murray sleeps soundly in his cozy dog bed but is happiest when he’s close to his people, watching the action (or maybe sniffing what’s cooking!).  Like many distinguished seniors, Murray has a few quirks — he wears a belly band to help with marking, and his vision and hearing aren’t what they used to be, though he gets around just fine with a little patience and reassurance. Sweet, social, and full of heart, Murray Mills is ready to bring warmth, smiles, and loyal companionship to his forever home. Story
Meet Judd Nelson! Your Loyal, Curly-Haired Companion!  Judd Nelson is an adorable, 11-pound, Poodle mix with a big heart and a great need for a special home. At just under eight years old, he is looking for a patient and loving family to help him settle into his golden years. Personality Highlights: Gender Preference: Judd Nelson is a total sweetheart who loves to stick to a female companion like glue! While he is fine with men, he forms a very strong bond with the women in his life. Good with Dogs: He gets along well with other dogs.Cat Potential: We believe he would do well with cats.  A Note on Temperament & Children Judd Nelson can be temperamental, which means he needs a home where his boundaries are respected. For this reason, we recommend a home with older children only (teenagers/mature children) or an adult-only household.  Housetraining & Training Needs Judd Nelson is a work in progress and needs continued assistance with house training. Marking: He was recently neutered this past Tuesday, which should significantly help with the marking he exhibited (mostly outdoors) prior to surgery. (He is currently wearing a belly band as he recovers). Nighttime Success: Great news—he makes it through the night without needing to potty! Recommendation: A consistent schedule of taking him outside every 2 to 3 hours is essential to complete his house training.  Ready for a loving family! If you're a patient, female-led household, looking for a fierc ely loyal, curly-haired friend to adore you, Judd Nelson might be the perfect fit!
