I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control and am enjoying my time with the nice volunteers, who spend time with and take great care of me – they are so much fun to hang out with! Now I hear that I’m ready to find a wonderful family of my very own, where I can love and be loved furever! I hope to meet them very soon and charm them with my cuteness! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts and liked them, so if you have a nice dog at home already, let’s meet! / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet and best no small children that I may bump over as I’m a big girl! I like giving hugs, but don’t know if I like being hugged yet since I don’t care for restraint during vetting, so kids old enough to understand that would be best. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I’m a sweet, strong girl with a loving heart. I’m friendly and happy, and I’ve been very affectionate with all the volunteers - I really enjoy being around people. / Energy level: 5-7. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I have already mastered the ‘sit’, ‘down’, ‘stay’ and ‘come’ commands. I also give my ‘paw’ and I look forward to learning more. Let's continue my training together with the free lifetime training classes that Mostly Mutts offers for all their adopted dogs! / My crate manners have been good at Mostly Mutts. / My potty manners have been good on the shelter schedule. • LIKES/DISLIKES: I love sniffing around and taking in all the interesting smells, and being with people is one of my favorite things. I enjoy being petted, giving hugs, and having fun with toys, too! / I did not like being restrained during my vetting or having my feet touched. Vetting is very stressful for me, so wearing a muzzle is recommended. And like all dogs, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL: I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I have several small cysts on my back and a little mass on the left side of my face. Just ask about these. I came in with infected ears and have been treated for that. Meet Oliver! Oliver is one of several poodle mixes we rescued in early April from a hoarding/backyard breeding situation in rural Georgia. All of these guys were filthy, with horribly infected ears and really had no idea how to relax and just be a dog! After several weeks of TLC and mentoring from some of their new dog friends, they are learning just how amazing being part of a loving family can be. Oliver is about 6-7 years old and under 30 lbs. He's great with other dogs of all sizes and even cats. Oliver was definitely one of the more timid of the group, but it didn't take long for him to really warm up to his foster mom - trying to climb into her lap at any opportunity. He's looking for a calmer home with poodle experienced adopters and another confident dog in the home, along with a fenced yard. Oliver does seem to be a little wary of men so he will do best in a home with at least one female for him to bond with while he grows comfortable with any male family members. Meet Ava! Ava is a gorgeous poodle mix who came to us from a hoarding/backyard breeding situation in South Georgia, along with 8 other dogs. Ava is about 5 years old and a sweet, playful girl. She's great with all other dogs and crate trained. Ava hasn't been around cats since we have had her, but several others from the same group are currently fostering with cats and doing great, so it's likely she would too. Ava is looking for an experienced poodle/doodle home with at least one other adult dog and a fenced yard. We also want to mention that while these dogs are poodle/doodle mixes we have no idea how much poodle is actually in them and so we cannot say that they would be allergy friendly. Meet Jules! Jules is an adorable poodle mix who came to us from a hoarding/backyard breeding situation in South Georgia, along with 6 other dogs. We were told that Isabelle, who was part of the same group we rescued, is his mother and honestly they look so similar - we believe it! Jules is about 2-3 years old and absolutely LOVES to play hard with all of his friends in his foster home! He's great with all other dogs and crate trained. While we have not had Jules specifically around cats, several of the other dogs from this group are fostering with cats and doing great, so it is likely he would be fine with cats as well. Jules is looking for an experienced poodle/doodle home with at least one other adult dog and a fenced yard. Zeus is a 6 year old goldendoodle looking for a new home. He’s great with kids. He can be a bit shy initially but as soon as he sniffs around he is friendly to all. For the most part he gets along with other animals but there have been instances were he didn’t get along with other dogs. He loves fetch at the doggy park or just playing with his tennis balls indoors. Most day's he naps and enjoys lots of scratches and tends to follow his human friends.
