Story
Audrey is a 3 year old 40ish lb poodle mix. One of the most lovable, easy going dogs around. Want to watch Netflix all day? Great. I’ll snuggle up next to you. Want to run around and play? Great. Let me grab my ball. She can be reserved initially but quickly warms up to new people. She’s looking for a kind, gentle home where she can learn trust and feel love. She does great in her current foster home with other dogs and would probably benefit from having another dog pal around to teach her confidence and be there to play when her human isn’t home. She’s an expert squirrel chaser, so a fenced yard is also a strong plus. Thank you for your interest in one of our furry kids! Adopting from Releash Atlanta means you will adopt a dog that has been fully vaccinated, spayed/neutered, microchipped and medically cleared!! Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Rosa came to us after her previous family lost their home. They had been living out of their car and knew that it was getting too hot for Rosa, and that they could no longer afford to give her what she needed. She’s 5 years old and loves playing with tennis balls, likes water and lived with an older kid previously. She’s done well with the dogs she's met with us and we think she’d likely do fine with cats if introduced properly. Rosa weighs about 64lbs and is ready to find her new family! Here’s where we need some extra help. We found mammary tumors on Rosa when she had her physical exam and we had them removed and sent for pathology when she was spayed. These tumors came back as mammary carcinoma and, while our vet feels that they got clean margins, there is the chance that the cancer could come back. Rosa is a happy, healthy dog otherwise and she needs a forever home to love her! She DESERVES a happy ever after. We know it will take a very special individual or family to be willing to take this on, but we also feel confident that person is out there. Thank you for your interest in one of our furry kids! Story
Meet the new and improved Sterling boy who is ready to start his new life! You would never guess that just weeks ago this happy boy was found wondering around by himself so matted we had to shave him. This boy has the BEST attitude and is SO happy! Sterling appears to be about a two-year old poodle mix with the most beautiful soft gray coat. Although, his hair is short now, pretty soon he will be grown out and can get a cute teddy bear cut! He will need to be groomed on a regular schedule. Sterling is currently about 35 pounds, but needs to gain another 10ish pounds. He loves food and is very motivated by treats. He is crate-trained and sleeps all night in his crate next to foster moms bed with no accidents. Sterling loves to play catch, loves the pool, chewing on toys and being outside with his person. He is great on a leash on walks or he will even run with you or next to a bike. He loves to cuddle, is smart and obedient, knows how to sit, shake and high five. He even went swimming with his foster mom and laid on her like a little baby and was so relaxed in the water. A few things to know about Sterling: -He hasn't had any accidents in his crate, but had one pee accident in the house at no fault of his own (foster mom didn’t get him outside quick enough). -although, he has been alone and not shown love most of his life, he thrives and loves being around people. It would be ideal for him to be adopted by someone who works from home or can be home with him during the day. -he is a bigger boy and can be a bit clumsy so he would not be good with little kids as he may knock them over by accident. -Sterling has 3 small foster brothers and we realized quickly that Sterling can play a little rougher than what they are used to. There is not a mean bone in his body, but does play a little rough and does not realize his own strength. Sterling would be best as an only dog or with an older dog that likes to play and he can learn from. Sterling is a catch for sure and is gonna make someone a devoted best friend for life! Story
We found Harry a month ago and over the last month, he has shown us how sweet and affectionate he is. He is by far one of the most loving and gentle dogs we've come across. He is estimated to be about 8-12 mo. Harry is in need of a loving home with a family who knows and understands the needs of a puppy, and also are willing to give him some extra TLC as he was found underweight (though all bloodwork shows he is healthy). He loves children and is super patient with our toddler. He is not a barker and truly just wants to lean against his person and give love. We have tried to find his past owner and have had no luck. Please consider giving this sweet boy a loving home.

Story
Did you know the poodle is known for superior intelligence, exceptional learning skills, and is hypoallergenic too? Well, it must be your lucky day because AAU has a very special poodle available for adoption. Her name is Charlotte Noelle and she is 1.5 years old.   Charlotte is a very special girl. According to her foster mom, she is the perfect dog! She is crate trained, but does not need a crate. She wants to sleep in bed with her “person” and will sleep all night without getting up. Charlotte is also house trained and has not had any accidents since arriving at her foster home.   Initially, when meeting new people, Charlotte is a bit on the shy side. So, it takes a little time for her to warm up and interact. She is working diligently on her leash skills and is “almost there”. Charlotte is high energy and does need exercise. However, she also enjoys being a couch buddy after her playtime. A fenced yard is recommended for exercise purposes and Charlotte also has been an escape artist in the past.   So, if you think Charlotte is the perfect match for you, please fill out an application asap. I think she is going to be a very popular gal!   An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online. http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms    Please be sure to like our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org    Note:   Some apartments and neighborhoods  have breed restrictions. We verify rental policies and adhere to any regulations. Please ensure you understand those restrictions before choosing a dog.           June 7, 2023, 3:01 am

Story
Oakley came to Furkids when his owners could no longer take care of him. Oakley would do best in a home with adults only. Oakley has lots of energy and would love to be someone's hiking buddy! Oakley must go to a home with a fenced yard. We are still getting to know him, but he is a very sweet boy who loves attention. Oakley weighs 60 lbs., is approximately 2 years old (est. birth date 2/9/2021), and his adoption fee is $500. If you want more information about Oakley, please submit a survey at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FKDS/Dog. At this time, meeting our dogs is by appointment only. After submitting a survey, an adoption counselor will contact you to give you more information about the dog you are interested in adopting and to arrange for you to meet. Story
Buddy is a great companion. When I worked full time he went to work with me and greeted patients. He is happy to play, walk and hang out. He is very healthy. He loves going for rides and does well on long rides. He loves going to the dog park and play with other dogs. He is able to jog/walk with you or simply relax while you watch TV. He prefers to be around people rather than left alone all day but he has a strong bladder. I am working more and traveling and I want him to have more attention.

Story
June!June has not had the best life, but that hasn’t kept her from wanting to be loved, nor has it kept her wanting to love. June is definately a family dog, one who wants to be as close to her people as possible, whether that’s laying on them during bed time, laying beside them on the couch, or sitting in front of the tub waiting.  June is PRECIOUS and BEAUTIFUL!   June started life started off as a puppy who belonged to a backyard breeder who had no intention to give her the love and care she so deserved, but planned to use her for breeding and making money off of her.  For over a year, June lived in a wooden box where she was used for breeding- one litter after another. Thankfully, someone voiced their concerns for all the dogs on the property to the local animal control. After going out and seeing the unfathomable living conditions, all dogs on the property were seized and confiscated. This is where June’s story began, but it’s most definitely not where it ends.   Age? June is around 3 years old.Favorite activity? June loves to play with any chew toys, she loves the water, and loves to play with her foster brother and sisters.Crate Trained?  June will lay quietly in her crate at night, but will pace if she knows you’re up and she could be out with you.Potty-training- June does great with going out to use the bathroom, but we take her out often. She will go to the door to go out, but if you miss it, she could have an accident. How does she do with kids? June does great with anybody she’s around.  She will occasionally jump up on you, she does it with a very gently. How does she do with other dogs? June plays great with the other dogs in her foster home. How does she do with cats? June’s foster parents have a cat in the home.  June has barked at Emma during a standoff, but didn’t try to attack her.  I would be cautious. Is she Hypoallergenic?A Poodle is considered “hypoallergenic” but we can’t guarantee that she doesn’t shed some.  We haven’t noticed any shedding.  How big will she get? June is full grown and weighs around 40lbs.Training? June is VERY smart and VERY food motivated.  She will work for foodJ During the short time June has been with us, she has learned sit, down, give paw, and walks great on a leash. June needs someone who is willing to work with her and teacher her.  Due to living in a small boxed area during the beginning of her life, June does pace.  Once she settles in, she doesn’t do it as much.  June is also a trash eater- She will get toilet paper out of the bathroom trash and eat it, so we make sure to keep the trash pulled, or the door closed. Due to this, we don’t allow June to have any small toys that she could potentially swallow. She’s looking for a home that will love her snuggles as much as she loves giving them. A home that will give her lots of exercise and let her play with all the toys! What's included in her adoption fee?Her adoption fee is $650 and includes each animal being current on age appropriate vaccinations including DHPPL, bordetella, influenza, rabies, and boosters when appropriate. De-wormed for any internal parasites (round worms, hook worms, tape worms and whipworms), spayed/neutered and micro-chipped. Each of our dogs also receive flea and heartworm medication every month. We look to place our dogs in homes where they are loved, allowed on furniture and treated like family so please do not apply if you are looking for an "outside dog" or if you have any dogs who live outside only. If you're looking for a dog who will keep you warm at night or snuggled by your side while watching TV, one who will enjoy playing in the yard, or one who’ll enjoy going and doing whatever the day finds, this may be the gal for you. June’s wish list consists of an inside forever home. A home with lots of toys and pet parents who understand the time commitment that a new dog requires. It is required for June to have a fenced in yard, so please don’t apply if you don’t already have a fence. If you think you have the perfect home for June and have questions, please contact us at HootiesHaven@yahoo.com We do out of state adoptions, but require you to come here and meet the pup if you are approved to adopt. Please feel free to ask for more details. We work hard to place our fosters in the very best homes. Please be aware that we have a lengthy application, but our application weeds out those who are not serious about adopting. When filling out the application, please be sure to include as much information and be as detailed as possible- your explanation could be what sets your application aside from the rest. Please, if you are not serious about adoption, or if you are considering another dog, we respectfully ask you to please not proceed as our volunteers have other full time jobs and reading through applications and calling vet references is time consuming. Please know, if you’re asked to come for a meet and greet, it’s just that- you are coming to meet the dog. We are the dogs advocate, so we are watching to see how the dog interacts with the family, and how the family interacts with the dog. Our goal is to place all of our dogs in the home that’s best suited for them.We also ask that you be mindful of the scheduled time for a meet and greet. While we understand things happen, our time is also important, as we have families and full time jobs, so please be mindful of that as well.Link to June’s Adoption Application:https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/22197/genericIMPORTANT MESSAGE Our adoption interviews are being held strictly by invitation and appointment only. We are not be open for walkins. ##1714452##
