Story
Oreo is an approximately 1 year old, 47 lb standard poodle. Oreo loves being around his foster family. He has a curious and playful personality. Oreo loves all humans and thinks that every dog he meets will be his playmate. Oreo likes to be near his humans but is not needy. Oreo loves to be near his foster dog, brothers, and sisters and will cry if separated. He will cry if he is not sleeping near or touching his foster dog brothers and sisters at night. Oreo is not crate-trained. Oreo loves leash walks, playing with his toys, riding in the car, and running in his foster dad’s fenced backyard. Oreo has been trained to walk with a Gentle Leader. Oreo’s foster dad nicknamed him ‘Houdini’ because Oreo is an escape artist. He has crawled under cars and fences. Oreo needs to have toys surrounding him at all times to keep him busy because he is still a puppy. Oreo is being trained to respect his foster family’s home because he is very curious and likes to get into trash cans. Oreo is great with all other animals, including chickens and cats, but can be too playful and scare his foster cat sister. Oreo is a poodle, so that he will require frequent grooming. Oreo is a special boy. At some point in his early life, his tail was broken, and his lower back was injured. Because of this, Oreo will require a very special family who can provide the extra care that Oreo requires. Oreo cannot move, wag, or lift his tail. His broken tail causes his poop sometimes to get stuck. He has been trained to allow his foster dad to help keep his back end clean with wet wipes and frequent washings. Because Oreo’s lower back and sacrum were injured, he came to Orphan Annie with frequent intermittent fecal incontinence. Orphan Annie has provided supplemental care, including chiropractic, massage, and acupuncture. The extra care has reduced his fecal incontinence by at least 90%, and he only has occasional fecal incontinence. He is on a weight management diet to keep his weight under 50 lbs and is also on a joint supplement to help with his back injury. To adopt Oreo, we require a fenced yard and another young, playful dog. His adoption fee is $350, which includes his shots up-to-date, microchipping, neuter, and heartworm testing. Story
Meet Pierce! Pierce and his siblings were found at a Metro Atlanta area fire house. They were within a fenced area when they were found, so it was obvious someone had intentionally dumped them - they couldn't have gotten in there on their own. After doing DNA on one of the siblings, we know that these guys are 50% poodle, but the other 50% is a whole mixture of a lot of breeds so these guys are NOT allergy friendly   Pierce is about 10 months old and around 65 lbs. He's great with other medium and large size dogs but he does have a bit of a prey drive, so he will not be a good fit for homes with cats or small dogs. His leaps of joy when he arrived at his foster home and realized he was safe for the first time were beyond priceless!   Pierce is looking for a home experienced with doodle type breeds and with another adult dog in the home. Story
Hello there! My name is Redmund, and I am a fabulously fluffy 1-year-old poodle on a quest for love, belly rubs, and a forever family!  Let me take you on a little journey through my life. Once upon a time, I was a bit of a hot mess—think overgrown fur and a body that could’ve used a few extra treats (okay, maybe a lot). But fear not! I’ve landed in my foster home, where I'm being spoiled with nutritious grub, playdates with my furry friends (they're teaching me the ropes of doghood), and an endless supply of TLC. Seriously, I might be the most pampered pup around! I currently weigh about 40 pounds, and yes, I’m still on a mission to add a few more ounces so I can strut my stuff as a healthy, happy boy. And let me tell you, I’ve got a heart full of love just waiting to be shared! I’m basically a professional cuddlebug and a certified lap dog—if you’ve got a lap, I’ve got a snuggle ready for you! My foster mom says I’m doing a great job with potty training (score!), and while I’m still mastering some manners (who knew that jumping up for attention was frowned upon?), I promise I’m a joy to have around. Now, if you’re looking for a four-legged companion who will always be eager to shower you with affection and is ready to become your new best friend, then look no further! My ideal home would be with a family that spends plenty of time at home, ready to shower me with the love and attention I crave. After all, I’ve got so much love to give, and I’m just waiting for the perfect family to call my own. So, are you ready to have a sweet, loving poodle like me join your family? Let’s make some memories together!      An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online. http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms  Please be sure to like our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org  Note: Some apartments and neighborhoods have breed restrictions. We verify rental policies and adhere to any regulations. Please ensure you understand those restrictions before choosing a dog.          April 16, 2025, 3:08 pm

Story
This spunky, spirited girl is ready to soar into her forever home! At almost 2 years old, Seahawk is a 45-pound poodle mix with energy for days. She’s playful, always on the move, and looking for an adventure buddy who can keep up with her zest for life. Seahawk thrives in the company of other high-energy dogs who love to run, wrestle, and play just as much as she does. Because of her enthusiasm and puppy-like behavior, she needs an experienced adopter who can provide structure, training, and plenty of outlets for her energy. She has been graciously sponsored to get 3 free professional training sessions after adoption to make a smoother transition into her forever home. Due to her boisterous nature, Seahawk isn’t suited for a home with young children, but she’ll make an incredible companion for an active individual or family who understands her needs. She’s eager to learn and just needs the right guidance to help her shine. Seahawk weighs 45lbs., is approximately 1.5 year old (est. birth date 05/09/2023), and her adoption fee is $315. Seahwak has been spayed, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped. If you want to know more about Seahawk, please complete a survey at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FKDS/Dog. Meeting our dogs is by appointment only. After submitting a survey, an adoption counselor will contact you within 72 hours to give you more information about the dog you are interested in adopting and to arrange for you to meet. You must be at least 21 years of age to adopt.
