Story
Panda is a great dog. Adaptable and easy. Very spunky and playful. Loves to play so children or other dogs are great. He is a big dog so he’s better with other larger dogs. Panda is very cuddly and sweet. Needs exercise daily and lots of mind stimulation. Panda does have an autoimmune called Pemphigus foliaceus. It causes some hair loss and changes his hair texture than most poodles but it’s easily managed with occasional dose of steroid and auto suppressant.

Story
A DARLING 'SPECIAL NEEDS' GUY: Approx. 5 years old / Approx. 57 lbs. Hi, I’m Hayes! I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control along with another dog who has already been adopted. I’m in a wonderful foster home while I wait for my new family to adopt me. I’m a sweet boy with a medical condition called Immune-Mediated Thrombocytopenia, which means my immune system can mistakenly attack my platelets. Because of this, I’m on daily immunosuppressant medication and will need regular veterinary visits with and periodic bloodwork to keep my platelets in range. While I’m on the immunosuppressant I shouldn’t go out in crowded public places or be around pets who aren’t fully vaccinated yet. ·   OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I liked the dog I came in with and followed his lead; I also met other dogs at Mostly Mutts and in my temp. foster home and liked them.  My foster reports that I’m polite, calm and observant in a pack and thinks I would thrive with a calm, confident canine companion and likes to play a bit, so if you have a nice dog at home already, let’s meet! / Cats unknown. / I met a nice 10-year-old who visited my foster family, and I was calm and gentle with them, so if you have respectful kids around this age, let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may accidentally bump over.     ·   PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m a calm, thoughtful, and wonderfully curious dog who likes to study the world around me - whether you’re cooking, cleaning, or even putting a bandage on a little boo-boo, I’m there quietly watching, trying to understand it all. In my foster home I choose ‘my person’ and love staying close and keeping them company.  This doesn’t mean I don’t love others, I’m simply the most loyal to my special person. I’m very tuned in to my people’s routines, and I enjoy it when you talk to me and will listen as long as you keep talking. My foster works from home, so I’m the perfect office companion – never disruptive, just peacefully nearby or napping.  I rarely bark, only occasionally when happy or excited.  I’m sweet, gentle, quiet, affectionate, emotionally intelligent and a soft-hearted gentleman that is easy to have around - truly a JACKPOT to my adoptive family. I would be happiest with a stay or work from home family member as I wouldn’t like spending a full workday alone. / Energy level: 4-6 as I am active but not hyper and will join in play when invited and can play for quite a while. ·   SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I know the ‘sit’ and ‘stay’ commands and even offer a ‘paw’. I also ‘come’ when called inside and am very responsive to your voice and tone. I understand routines easily and learn new things with gentle repetition. Like most Poodles, I have the intelligence and focus to pick up training commands quickly, and I’m an excellent listener. / I don’t enjoy being crated, so when I’m left alone for short periods, (typically 2-4 hours) I relax on the cozy bench in my foster’s mudroom or on my favorite sofa spot and wait quietly for my people to come back. I haven’t chewed or gotten into anything. At nighttime, I like to sleep in my dog bed in a quiet corner of my fosters room. / My potty manners have been excellent in my foster home. They take me out on a good schedule, and also I’ll sit by the door if I need to go.  ·   LIKES/DISLIKES:  I enjoy taking long peaceful walks on my foster family’s property, exploring the creek and stepping into the water.  I can go on hikes now but still should not walk in crowded public areas yet due to the medication I’m on.  I also like treats, visitors to my foster home, soft stuffed and squeaky toys  and I’m always up for some gentle play or a little running around with my people. I like staying close to my people watching everything that goes on in the house like a little detective. More than anything, I love being included and feeling like part of whatever you’re doing. / I’m not a fan of being crated, staying outside in bad weather longer than needed, or feeling unsure of things as I am sensitive and thrive with gentle guidance. I also don’t like being hot, so no blankets are needed. I’m also a little picky with my food, and I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. ·   MEDICAL: I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. I take an immunosuppressant medication called Mycophenolate and I’ll need my family to have bloodwork completed in April 2026 to see if I still need to stay on it.  If your considering adding me to your family, Mostly Mutts recommends you talk with your vet. I’m a deeply loyal dog looking for a wonderful family that will treasure me and keep up with my medical needs.  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  February 16, 2026, 5:29 pm

Meet Gracie! Gracie is an amazing WeimerDoodle! She's actually the littermate of Sammy, Mo, and Max who we have also had available for adoption. Their mom was a purebred Weimaraner and their dad was a purebred Standard Poodle.   Gracie is a sweet, smart, and energetic girl who also has a sensitive side. She's doing great with crate training and house training and loves playing with other dogs! More than anything though Gracie enjoys being right by her person's side. Gracie is looking for a family with at least one other active, playful dog in the home and bonus points for families with children and an adult that is home frequently- a stay at home parent or work from home situation would be her dream come true! Interested in adopting sweet beautiful Gracie? Email adrienne@rescuemega.org or fill out an adoption application on our website- www.rmgdogs.org ##2662560##

Story
Meet Teagan!  Earlier in the year we rescued Tate and Truman, 2 standard poodles, along with a poodle mix puppy from Upson County after they had been surrendered to animal control. A couple of weeks ago, we found out the same family had just surrendered 3 more standard poodles. We really take the “You don’t leave family behind” philosophy seriously, so even though it had been months since we saved the first group and we REALLY don’t have room for more dogs - we knew we had to save these guys! Teller was in the worst shape. He was completely matted and caked in mud. And his poor eyes so infected. It took hours to get him cleaned up. If you’ve ever had to shave down a severely matted dog, you’ll know it’s very similar to sheering a sheep - the hair just comes off in one huge piece. Thankfully, the girls Tiggy and Teagan, had been groomed before at some point and were in much better shape.  Our unconfirmed theory is that Teagan (grey) is mom to Teller (black) and Tiggy (blonde). Teller and Tiggy both appear to be about a year old so we think they are probably littermates. Teagan is about 2-3 years old - still young herself. All three of these amazing poodles are super super sweet; great with dogs of all sizes; and cats!! Sweet Teagan was even trying to play with our special little NeuroSpicy girl Sofia on her first night!  These guys are all looking for tried and true Standard Poodle homes. To know poodles is to love them, but these 3 have all been failed by humans once and we won’t let that happen again - so we really do want homes that know all the good, bad, and ugly that comes with having Standard Poodles as family members. Does that sound like you?? Email adrienne@rescuemega.org or fill out an adoption application on our website- www.rmgdogs.org PLEASE NOTE: Prior first hand ownership experience with Standard Poodles is a strict requirement to adopt. Must live in Metro Atlanta and have at least one other playful dog in the home  ##2579219##

Story
Meet Margarita 🍹—or Margo, if you’re on the inside. Margarita is finally ready to find her forever home! She came to us back in September as part of the adorable “Mixed Drinks” litter when she was just 5 weeks old. While all of her siblings were quickly scooped up, Margo stayed behind due to a unique quirk: she has a small patch of abnormal skin with missing fur on her right front foot. After lots of vet visits, trial-and-error with foods and medications, and plenty of observation, we’ve determined that it’s simply a congenital condition—not painful, not contagious, not spreading, and not something that bothers her. Just part of what makes Margo Margo. Now 6 months old, Margarita is a spunky, rambunctious, mischievous goldendoodle who fully embodies joyful puppy energy. She’s housetrained, crate trained, great with kids, and does well with other dogs. She hasn’t been around cats yet. She’s a bit wiggly during grooming (who isn’t?), but otherwise handles it like a champ. We expect her to grow into a lovely 55–65 lb adult. She truly is a fantastic girl—but we do need to be honest about one important thing: Margarita is a sock eater. Yes, really. Her foster family had a close call (with a happy ending!) and it’s clear this habit isn’t a one-time thing. Because of this, we recommend a home without kids and with an adopter who is extremely diligent about keeping socks and other cloth items out of reach. Management will be key to keeping Margo safe and thriving. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, goofy, affectionate pup with a big personality and you’re ready to stay one step ahead of her mischievous side, Margarita might just be your perfect match. Because she is a mixed breed, we cannot guarantee that she will have a coat that will not shed. As with any poodle mix her fur can be low allergen, but low allergen does not mean NO allergen. We very much do not want her to be returned due to her fur coat developing as she grows and matures. She will also need frequently grooming and daily brushing to maintain her coat. If you are interested in adopting Margarita, please fill out an application at https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FAY/Dog **Applications can take anywhere from 5-7 business days to complete. When filling out an application, please check for a confirmation email to be sure that your application went through. We respond by email, so please check your spam and trash folders. If you need to reach us regarding your application, the best way to contact us is through email.** We are located in Fayette County, GA and are a foster based rescue without a shelter building.
