Story
Meet Sasha, a beautiful 7 year old Standard Poodle, weighing 65 pounds with the sweetest, most affectionate personality. She has a gorgeous soft beige coat with a white chest that makes her just as beautiful on the outside as she is on the inside. Sasha is fully house trained and walks beautifully on leash. She has wonderful manners around people of all ages and absolutely loves being close to her humans. Her perfect day includes exploring a fenced backyard, enjoying lots of affection, napping through the day, and settling in for bedtime at 8:00 p.m., where she'll happily sleep through the night like the good girl she is. She does get scared with thunder and will cuddle close to you. Sasha would thrive as the only dog in the home or with other large dogs, but she is not a good fit for homes with small dogs. She's also a true foodie, so you'll want to keep a close eye on your snacks: nothing is safe on the counter, whether it's pizza or even a salad! Her playful love of food is just one of the many things that makes her so endearing. If you're searching for a loyal, cuddly, middle-aged companion who will shower you with love and be your constant sidekick, Sasha is ready to find her forever family. To adopt her, please apply on www.orphanannierescue.org Her adoption fee is $400, which includes her shots up-to-date, microchipping, spay, and heartworm testing.

Story
Meet Rudy! Rudy is an adorable poodle mix who came to us from a hoarding/backyard breeding situation in South Georgia, along with 6 other dogs. We were told that Rudolph, who was part of the same group we rescued, is his brother and honestly they look so similar - we believe it! Rudy is about a year old and a sweet, sensitive soul.  He's great with all other dogs and cats and crate trained. Rudy is much more reserved than his brother, preferring to watch his friends play while he tries to figure out what it is they are doing. We doubt he had much opportunity to play or even just to enjoy being a playful, loved puppy in his former life. Rudy is looking for an experienced poodle/doodle home with at least one other adult dog and a fenced yard. We also want to mention that while these dogs are poodle/doodle mixes we have no idea how much poodle is actually in them and so we cannot say that they would be allergy friendly.   Interested in adopting? Story
Meet Oliver! Oliver is one of several poodle mixes we rescued in early April from a hoarding/backyard breeding situation in rural Georgia. All of these guys were filthy, with horribly infected ears and really had no idea how to relax and just be a dog! After several weeks of TLC and mentoring from some of their new dog friends, they are learning just how amazing being part of a loving family can be. Oliver is about 6-7 years old and under 30 lbs. He's great with other dogs of all sizes and even cats. Oliver was definitely one of the more timid of the group, but it didn't take long for him to really warm up to his foster mom - trying to climb into her lap at any opportunity, when he's not running and playing with his other dog friends that is! He's even proven himself to be a rockstar when out and about meeting strangers - give him a few treats and you will have a best friend for life! Oliver is also great on leash, but might need just a bit of encouragement when exploring new places. He's looking for a forever home with poodle experienced adopters and another confident dog in the home, along with a fenced yard.   Interested in adopting Oliver and showing him all of the amazing things life has to offer? Meet Ava! Ava is a gorgeous poodle mix who came to us from a hoarding/backyard breeding situation in South Georgia, along with 8 other dogs.  Ava is about 5 years old and a sweet, playful girl. She's great with all other dogs and crate trained. Ava hasn't been around cats since we have had her, but several others from the same group are currently fostering with cats and doing great, so it's likely she would too. Ava is looking for an experienced poodle/doodle home with at least one other adult dog and a fenced yard. Meet Jules! Jules is an adorable poodle mix who came to us from a hoarding/backyard breeding situation in South Georgia, along with 6 other dogs. We were told that Isabelle, who was part of the same group we rescued, is his mother and honestly they look so similar - we believe it! Jules is about 2-3 years old and absolutely LOVES to play hard with all of his friends in his foster home! He's great with all other dogs and crate trained. SWEET, FUN & ADORABLE:  Approx. 3 years old / Approx. 35 lbs. Hi, my name is Duchess!  I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control, and I have been spending time in a great foster home!  I am enjoying my time here, and they love me, so that sounds like a good preview of the great home that awaits me!  My future family and I – making each other happy!  I’m now available for adoption, so plan to meet me soon!  • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I like the other dog in my foster home, and we play and sleep together – so cute.  I also met dogs at Mostly Mutts before going to my foster home and did alright with them, too - I was interested though not quite ready to play at that time.  So, if you have a nice dog at home already, let’s meet! / I met the kitty in my foster home and ran after him, so we haven’t met again.  I’m likely best not cats. / I really enjoy the 6-, 8- and 15-year-old kids in my foster home!  I am a bit playfully mouthy sometimes, so best no toddlers that I may be too much for.  Giving me a toy helps with my playful mouthiness. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m a very sweet girl who loves being around my people and being part of the family.  I’m calm and easygoing for the most part, but I do have a playful, energetic side that comes out when I’m ready for some fun. My foster says I’m just an all-around sweet girl who would make a wonderful family companion. / Energy level: 4-6.     • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  While I was at the MM shelter, I showed that I knew the ‘sit’, ‘stay’, ‘come’, and ‘leave it’ commands.  Let’s continue my training with the free lifetime training classes that Mostly Mutts offers for all their adopted dogs. / I don’t like spending much time in a crate, so I’ll cry a little when I’m in it, though I do settle.  At nighttime, I sleep on a dog bed in my fosters’ room or in bed with them. / I’m having some accidents in my foster home, so they are working with me on this now.  Hopefully there will be good improvements, just ask how it’s coming along.  They do crate me when they need to leave the home to help with this as well.      • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I enjoy car rides and am happy to join my family on adventures!  Playing with the other dog and kids in my foster home is fun as well as chasing toys and balls, going for walks, and staying active with my people. I’m also a big fan of being petted, cuddling and soaking up attention.  After my spa bath time, I had a blast rolling around on my towel and bed. / I’m not a big fan of the crate, and if you leave a room and close the door behind you, I may whimper a little because I enjoy being near my people.  And like all dogs, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training.  • MEDICAL:  I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I’m a wonderful young dog looking for a wonderful family to have fun with and be loved furever!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  July 10, 2026, 10:52 am

Story
AN ACTIVE & FRIENDLY PUPPY:  Approx. 6 months old / Approx. 31 lbs. & growing Hi there, I’m Muppet! I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control and am enjoying my time with the nice volunteers, who spend time with and take great care of me – they are so much fun to hang out with! I've been selected to participate in the Mostly Mutts Prison Pups immersive training experience off-site and am learning a lot!  Please inquire at 770-272-6888 to find out when I'm available to meet. • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts and liked them.  I do need a proper introduction with dogs or I can be barky – no worries, we’ll show you how to do that.  So, if you have a nice doggie that would like a puppy friend, let’s meet! / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over with my puppy enthusiasm. Also, kids should not walk me as I may pull away to chase something.   • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m a happy, friendly, fun-loving boy with a playful personality and an adorable face that’s sure to make you smile! I’m sweet, outgoing, and love being around people. I can be a little jumpy when I get excited, and I’m also quite talkative at the shelter, so I’d do best in a home rather than an apartment or condo where I can happily express myself. If you’re looking for a cheerful companion who will keep you smiling, I just might be your guy! / Energy level:  6-8.    • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I'm in the Mostly Mutts University training program and have already mastered the ‘sit’ command and I look forward to learning more. Let's continue my training together with the free lifetime training classes that Mostly Mutts offers for all their adopted dogs! I’m looking for a family that will teach me everything I need to know to grow up and become a wonderful adult dog – including starting to train me not to chew on you and the kids so we’ll all be happy – so get ready for some training with your new best friend. / I don’t love spending too much time in my crate, so I hope for a home where I won’t have to. / I’ve had several accidents on the shelter schedule, though not a lot for a puppy, so I’ll be working on finishing up my potty training in the off-site training program.   • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love being petted, spending time with the nice volunteers, and staying active with my people. Whether we're playing, exploring, or just having fun together, I'm happiest when I'm included in the action. I can be interested in chasing cars, so I'll need a family that's committed to keeping me safely leashed. / I can’t think of things I don’t like yet since I’m so young, though like all dogs I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on my immunization, micro-chipped and spayed. If you’re ready for the fun and excitement of having a puppy as well as the training commitment, then let’s meet!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.    July 10, 2026, 10:52 am

Story
A ‘SPECIAL NEEDS’ CUTIE PIE:  Approx. 8 years old / Approx. 15 lbs.   Hello - I’m Neo! I was found on some railroad tracks by a good Good Samaritan.  After completing my stray hold through animal control, I spent a couple of weeks with them, during which I was treated for pneumonia.  Wanting me to have the loving home I deserve, they helped me make my way to Mostly Mutts, where I’ve continued receiving great care.  My medical needs have been addressed, and while I’m still a special needs pup, I’m doing much better.  I will need ongoing medication and care, but I’m so happy that I’m ready to find a loving home of my very own! (See below for medical details.)     • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I get along great with the pack of pups in my current foster home – from the Chihuahua to the Shepherd mix – we are good buddies!  If you have a nice doggy at home, let’s meet! / Though I initially gave chase to the kitties in my foster home, I’ve learned not to do that and am now pretty calm around them.  All cats are different, so I’m not sure how I would be with other kitties. / I would do best with older children.  Smaller children that may spook me could risk a nip.  So, let’s meet if you have older children. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m a sweet guy with a friendly and gentle nature.  A happy little guy who loves to be with my people, I will also take time to sprawl out on the floor and look out the windows.  I can sometimes be a little vocal when I am happy and then I like to roll around on the floor and be silly – what fun!  Sometimes I’m up for snuggling in a lap, while other times I prefer just being near you on the floor.  I’m a delightful and happy little guy.  / Energy level: 4-6. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  In my foster home, I’ve learned what ‘harness’ means when this is put on or taken off (I should only use a harness for walks and not have a collar attached to a leash due to my trachea challenges. In my foster home, I ‘come’ when called, and ‘go out’ when we go outside.  I formerly knew the ‘sit’ and ‘leave it’ commands, though I haven’t practiced those in a little while.  Mostly Mutts offers free lifetime training classes for all their adopted dogs, so let’s continue my training together. / I’m not crated in my foster home. / My potty habits are a work in progress.  I do pretty well on a schedule and have improved at going while on a leash.  So, please continue to be consistent with me on a good schedule, so I can continue to improve. • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love my walks and have a fun little prance in my step.  Toys are fun, and I enjoy shaking them playfully or carrying them around.  I’m more energetic outside and love to play outside with my people – but shouldn’t do much outside time when it’s very hot and humid due to my health challenges. / I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love and attention. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered.  I have severe collapsing trachea (so I do cough a good bit) as well as an enlarged heart.  I’m on a few prescription medications for these conditions that I’ll need to stay on for life.  Please ask about this so the folks at Mostly Mutts can fill you in on everything.  You may notice from my pictures that I have some tartar and yellowing of my teeth, but I cannot have a dental cleaning due to my trachea and heart challenges, but there are over the counter things you can try with me for dental health – once your vet approves them of course.  Ask about me to learn all the things I’ve overcome as I continue to be a wonderful companion.  I am looking for a loving home with a wonderful furever family that will love me and continue to meet my needs!  My adoption fee is $100.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  July 10, 2026, 10:52 am
