Story
Odin is a loving, loyal companion who will be your devoted shadow. He's a true velcro dog who loves very hard. Odin is a large poodle Rottie X that came out this way from California years ago. His owner was not able to give him the proper care and enrichment he needed because of her work schedule and so she left him in our care. We came to know him as a bouncy, sweet, at times protective and even complex boy. He cherishes outdoor adventures, going on long walks, and he's well-trained with great leash manners. We have him crate-trained, potty-trained, good in the car, enjoys playing with his dog pals, and does well in boarding. Odin is a pretty neat and easy dog in the home aside from his tendency to resource guard some things such as couches/beds and high value items. We have spent many hours working with him and believe he is in a great behavioral place to find a home. Odin is very selective with strangers and is a bite risk towards unsuspecting people that push him past his comfort zone. He has undergone training to make him safer around others and has no problem wearing a basket muzzle when socializing or out in public. He has very good leash manners and won't go out of his way to bother any passersby. Odin will be an amazing best friend for a single man or woman, even a couple that can keep up with his rules and boundaries. He CANNOT live with little children and CANNOT live with cats. Odin would do fine with a playful female dog and can have one as a housemate. He may even enjoy a passive playful male. Odin will be protective of his territory and his people. Due to that drive in his nature he is part of our behavioral dog post adoption support program. We will always be available to support the owner that takes this special dog home. If you're looking for a devoted companion who will give you his whole heart and be your adventure buddy, Odin is ready to be your best friend! To ask about Odin, please contact us directly by calling 847-338-3252 or emailing info@redemptionroadinc.org. _____   Redemption Road Rescue Rehab Behavioral Dog Adopter Support Program As a rescue specializing in behavioral rehabilitation, we deeply value adopters who open their hearts and homes to our behavioral dogs. 🐩 PIERRE 🐩At this point, Pierre would like to formally ask the internet what exactly he has to do to get adopted around here.Because somehow this tiny cloud of love has been sitting in rescue for SEVEN WEEKS and honestly? It’s becoming personally offensive to all of us. 😩Pierre is approximately 7 years old, 12 pounds, and has mastered the art of being exactly where his people are at all times. Couch? He’s there. Bed? Already claimed his spot. Small child watching cartoons? Perfect. He’ll be draped across them immediately like a heated weighted blanket with opinions. He loves every single person he meets and truly just wants to be close to his humans. Not in an annoying way. In a “tiny soulmate that quietly follows you around the house” kind of way.And while yes, Pierre still fully believes:• rain is unacceptable• wet grass is disrespectful• and being carried is a basic human responsibility……he’s also one of the sweetest, easiest little dogs you could ever meet. He’s calm, cuddly, affectionate, funny, and has settled beautifully into foster life. Pierre gets along well with dogs, loves attention, and honestly acts like he’s been part of the family from day one.The tiny king act is still there. But underneath it? He’s just a deeply loving little dog who wants his person. 🖤✨ Approx. 7 years old⚖️ Approx. 12 lbs🐩 Poodle mix📍 Located in Kewaunee, WI💲 Adoption fee: $450✔️ Neutered✔️ UTD on vaccines✔️ Microchipped✨ Apply to adopt at:www.biggiepawsrescue.orgPierre isn’t looking for just a home anymore. He’s looking for his person. 🐾DATCP # 494550

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Sweet Tilly is an 8-month-old doodle who will be available for adoption soon! Right now she is decompressing in a loving foster home and doing great. Her foster family says she is slowly starting to come out of her shell and it has been so rewarding to watch. She is consistently eating dry kibble now and has finally discovered that snacks are pretty amazing — which means they can start working on some simple training. This past weekend Tilly got a little time to run around, although they kept things calm and slow for her while she adjusts. Her foster mom thinks she finally trusts her enough for a bath, so that adventure may be happening soon too! One of the sweetest things about Tilly is how she experiences everything like it’s the very first time. She isn’t anxious — just curious, exploring and discovering the world around her. It’s incredibly adorable watching her little personality start to peek out from under all that wiry fluff. Her foster says this photo was about all the posing Tilly was willing to tolerate… although she may have been far more excited than Tilly was. Tilly continues to settle into the chaos of everyday life and is making wonderful progress. We can’t wait to watch her confidence grow and eventually find the forever home she deserves. Story
About Me: Name: Waverly Breed (or best guess): Poodle (Moyen sized) Approximate Age: 6 yr Gender: Female Approximate Weight: 23 lb Adoption Fee: $495 Requirements: Patient family, fenced yard Why In Rescue: puppy mill survivor Profile:   Waverly came from a commercial breeder/puppy farmer who was no longer going to use her for breeding.  She is a little shy but okay with being handled.  She needs work on walking on a leash, so needs a fenced yard for her safety .  She gets along with other dogs, but will likely do fine as an only dog as well.  She is quiet when kenneled alone, but when she shares a kennel run with other dogs she tends to bark.  If you have the patience to help her learn about living the good life as a loved pet, she may be the perfect girl for you! Dogs from commercial breeders are generally undersocialized (often very scared/shy/skittish) and probably never lived in a house.  They will need to learn things like how to walk on a leash, go up stairs, and what things like a television are.  They need a patient adopter who will give them the time they need to adjust and to learn to trust people.  Every baby step forward needs to be celebrated, and the dog needs to be accepted for who they are at each step.  Some dogs can adjust quickly and learn how to be a loved pet pretty easily.  Others can take a long time to even be comfortable with things like walking through the house and being in the same room as a person.  No matter how far and how fast the breeder dogs progress, they are wonderful dogs and deserve a great home after their life on the puppy farm.  A fence or at least a secure fenced in potty area is highly recommended for the dog's safety, and may be required for some dogs.  Another small dog in the house can also help many former breeders adjust faster to life in a home, and also may be required in some cases.  We do put the needs of the dog's first, so it is nothing personal if we determine a particular dog isn't suitable for your specific home and living situation. If considering adopting a former breeding dog, the following article is good to read to help you understand the special needs these dogs may have.  http://nowisconsinpuppymills.com/mill-survivors.html If interested in adoption, the first step is filling out the pre-adoption application at http://www.bichonrescues.com/pre-adoption-form-dog  If link isn't clickable, please copy/paste or visit http://www.bichonrescues.com.  Please note, filling out inquiry forms on Petfinder or Adoptapet and/or their application forms does not constitute an application for one of our dogs.  Priority in responding to inquires and applications is always to the applications filled out on our website, time constraints limit the number of other inquires we can reply to. We do our best to evaluate the dogs while they are with us, but they sometimes act different in the shelter environment than they do in a home.  Many times we do not know the actual breed/mix or age of the dog, in that case we use our best guess as to breed and age.   We are located in Mukwonago, WI.  Adopters must come to us, we do not ship our dogs.  Please do not apply for a dog until you are ready to adopt.  Once an application is approved you will be notified by email to make an appointment to meet the dog.  All dogs are seen by appointment only. The adoption fee through Bichon and Little Buddies Rescue is $495 for most adults and up to $650 for puppies which includes Wi State Sales Tax.  Included in this fee is your new companion who will be spayed/neutered, have a current Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (as required by state law), current on age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm tested (if old enough) and started on preventative, microchipped, and given a general wormer.  Other medical needs will also have been taken care of, such as dentals and treating ear infections.  To assist you and your new pet in adjusting to life together, you may chose to take an 8 week age appropriate obedience training course at For Pet's Sake Dog Training in Mukwonago, WI for $100 (up to $260 value).  You may opt to take Puppy Kindergarten, Adult Beginners, or Small Dogs Big Hearts.  You must register for the class within 90 days of adoption for the reduced fee.  For more information on the classes visit www.forpetssake.cc  More important information: ***We are a Wisconsin based rescue and do not ship our pets.  If you are considering adoption you must be willing to drive to meet and adopt the pet, as well as bring the pet back to us if the adoption doesn't work.  We adopt primarily in WI and IL, but will consider applicants in MN, IA, and MI.*** ***Please do not set up an appointment to meet the animals until you are ready to take your pet home.  If the meeting results in a match, you can often take the dog/cat home the same day or within a couple days if the medical care hasn't been completed.  We are not able to hold pets for adopters beyond this time.  Thanks for understanding.*** ***While we hope all of our adoptions lead to permanent homes for the animals we place, sometimes things just don't work out.  We do have a 30 day trial period.  For the first 30 days, if you or Bichon and Little Buddies decide that the adoption isn't a good match for either the humans or the pet, the adoption fee will be refunded minus $100 within 30 days of the return of the dog.  Bichon and Little Buddies also requires adopters to return the pet to us at any time that they are unable or unwilling to care for the animal anymore.*** ***We do not show dogs without an appointment.  The first step in adoption is filling out the pre-adoption application at http://www.bichonrescues.com/pre-adoption-form-dog  Please do not call/email until AFTER you have filled out an application.*** Bichon and Little Buddies is a State Licensed Rescue # 268555-DS June 4, 2026, 5:25 pm

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.**If you are interested in being considered for this dog, please be sure to complete an application directly on our website - not through a 3rd party service.**     Hi! I’m Woody! I’m a happy go lucky poodle mix ready to jump into your family! I love hanging out with my dog pals at my foster’s house and follow all the rules like going in my crate and only going potty outside. I love taking people out on walks, so much so that they have to remind me that I’m the one getting walked and not to pull them so much. I’ll learn I just need more practice! I’d be a great addition to many types of homes, but my dream house includes a yard with room to run and stocked groceries to help me get a bit more weight on. I’m about 50 pounds and a year and a half old. Please fill out an adoption application to meet me.    *HWMAR presents the information in these bios based on our foster observations and any information presented to us regarding prior living conditions, breed specifications.
