Bella is a very sweet 10 yr old Poodle/Chihuahua mix. Her owner passed away and she moved in with the son but his 4 children were just too much for Bella. She would wish for a quieter home and is used to a fenced in yard so we will require one. Bella is house trained and very sweet. She would do best with another small dog in the home as she is very active. We will accept applications at pawshs.org/adoption/Please submit an application at pawshs.org and NOT a Petfinder inquiry as they may not be answered due to the volume of these inquiries received. Our adoption fees include the cost of spaying/neutering, vaccinations (including rabies for cats / dogs over 4 months of age), flea prevention, worming, FeLV/FIV testing, heartworm test for dogs over 1 yrs old, and microchipping. Buttercup is 18 months old. She is very shy and has been ever since she was a puppy. She is a very good dog and gets along great with our two Bernese Mountain dogs and our grand kids. She is crate trained. She does keep our 3 cats on edge but especially our male Ragdoll cat. It causes him to not want to use his littler box. That was not an issue until Buttercup showed up. For that reason we need to move on. It’s not fair to either animal. We hate to see her go but it’s unfair to have her in a cage just so the male cat can move around the house. This dog's adoption fee is $600. If you are still interested, please read more below. This girl’s name is actually Nella. She came to us as a male, 1 year old, golden doodle named Lenny, but surprise she is a girl! The vet also believes she is actually a standard poodle and about 4-5 years old. She is a very gentle, sweet girl, but still very scared of life. She likes to stay in her spot all day unless she goes for a walk. She does great walking on leash, and she loves to walk her same path everyday, multiple times a day! She also loves any sort of edible chew toy that you give her. Nella girl loves to be brushed; it puts her right to sleep!! Because we don’t know her exact story, we have been learning some of her triggers as we go. She is still very nervous with just about everything! It will take her time to settle in. We think there must have been some trauma for her with cars, because she is still nervous around them. She prefers women and has adjusted better to women in the house versus men. Nella has very specific routines that she likes to follow, but she is a very sweet girl!! She would do best in a home without kids, because she likes to be in a quiet, peaceful environment. She doesn’t mind other dogs as long as they happily ignore her, but she isn’t one for really engaging with them. If you have the time, patience, and love to let her settle in on her own time, she would be a great dog for you! She is fully crate-trained, house-trained, and leash-trained! This dog is microchipped, up to date on all vaccinations, housebroken, and spayed. This dog's family will be required to complete a basic obedience course of their choosing. Meet Zeppelin! This handsome butterscotch buddy is about 2.5 years old as of 12/25. He was originally purchased for a specific type of training, but as he matured, it was evident that he didn't have the confidence required for such a job. He is better suited as a house dog and companion. His best friend is our cattle dog mix, Toast, and we would love for them to go to a home together.
