If you see a pet here, they are still available for adoption and you should apply through our adoption application on our website at  https://www.arf-il.org/adopt/application/   This dog is a 4-5 year old female Standard Poodle who weighs in at 48.8 pounds.  This dog's adoption fee is $600.  If you are still interested, please read more below. This girl’s name is actually Nella. She came to us as a male, 1 year old, golden doodle named Lenny, but surprise she is a girl! The vet also believes she is actually a standard poodle and about 4-5 years old. She is a very gentle, sweet girl, but still very scared of life. She likes to stay in her spot all day unless she goes for a walk. She does great walking on leash, and she loves to walk her same path everyday, multiple times a day! She also loves any sort of edible chew toy that you give her. Nella girl loves to be brushed; it puts her right to sleep!! Because we don’t know her exact story, we have been learning some of her triggers as we go. She is still very nervous with just about everything! It will take her time to settle in. We think there must have been some trauma for her with cars, because she is still nervous around them. She prefers women and has adjusted better to women in the house versus men. Nella has very specific routines that she likes to follow, but she is a very sweet girl!! She would do best in a home without kids, because she likes to be in a quiet, peaceful environment. She doesn’t mind other dogs as long as they happily ignore her, but she isn’t one for really engaging with them. If you have the time, patience, and love to let her settle in on her own time, she would be a great dog for you! She is fully crate-trained, house-trained, and leash-trained! This dog is microchipped, up to date on all vaccinations, housebroken, and spayed.  This dog's family will be required to complete a basic obedience course of their choosing.  A meeting will not be scheduled until you have an approved application, so if you are interested in adopting this dog, fill out an Online Application today!  Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will contact you to arrange a meeting.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.   Thank you for considering a rescue pet from A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation! Augie is a loving and LOYAL companion. He is always looking for cuddles and kisses. He is a 2 1/2 year old doodle who still has LOTS of energy. Currently he lives with two other dogs, who is loves but I'm not sure if he would be good with other dogs he does not know. This rehoming is not by choice. Augie got into an altercation with another dog in my townhouse complex and the association has demanded he be removed. He is very obedient and loves to go for walks and is very treat motivated. When it is cold outside, he will also poop on command.

Born: March 10, 2025 I am 40 lbs, and I am looking for my forever home. Adoption Donation: $600 All dogs are microchipped, neutered, current on all vaccines, heartworm tested (if age appropriate), and up-to-date on preventatives at the time of adoption. All household members and any dogs from the household need to be present to be able to adopt. A photo ID will be required at the time of adoption. Appointments are recommended. All applications are considered general. Specific animals are NOT put on hold for adoption. Belle is a 6.5 year old Toy Poodle with the cutest little mug you’ll ever see. Her 6.6 pound stature makes her the perfect lap dog, which she takes advantage of! She loves to be held and sticks close to people. She’d be the perfect purse pup! Belle has assimilated wonderfully into the pack of similarly sized dogs at her foster home. She’d probably be fine with cats, too. Though she is shy, she’s very curious and lets her desire for attention outweigh her apprehension. She seeks out attention whenever she can. Belle’s foster family has started working on her potty routine. She’s not a big fan of being confined, but she’s doing well with free roam. She seems to find comfort with other dogs, so she’d probably enjoy a canine friend in her forever home. Above all else, she’d love to be your new lap dog!
