Story
Odin is a loving, loyal companion who will be your devoted shadow. He's a true velcro dog who loves very hard. This playful boy cherishes outdoor adventures and walks, and he's well-trained with great leash manners. He's crate-trained, potty-trained, good in the car, enjoys doggy daycare, and does well in boarding. Odin enjoys dog friends — playful females and select males. He could live with a companion dog, but would need a few meet and greet sessions. He's very protective of his person and their space, so he needs an adult-only home — no kids or cats. He's muzzle trained and responds well to obedience training, making him a great listener for someone who appreciates his intense loyalty. If you're looking for a devoted companion who will give you his whole heart and be your adventure buddy, Odin is ready to be your best friend! To ask about Odin, please contact us directly by calling 847-338-3252 or emailing info@redemptionroadinc.org. _____ Redemption Road Rescue Rehab Behavioral Dog Adopter Support Program As a rescue specializing in behavioral rehabilitation, we deeply value adopters who open their hearts and homes to our behavioral dogs. Story
Meet Buddy the Elf! Buddy the Elf is an 8-month-old, neutered, big, happy, and confident bundle of love who truly wants to be everyone’s friend. He is potty trained and crate trained, though he doesn’t love his crate and does best with continued positive reinforcement. Like many puppies his age, Buddy is still working on his leash skills and manners and currently pulls on leash, but he is learning and making progress. Buddy has two main modes—busy and napping—and balances his high energy with some great downtime once he’s tired. He is wonderfully silly and a bit clumsy, often wiping out on ice or slippery floors, which only adds to his charm. Buddy absolutely loves lots of attention and snuggles, squeaky toys and chews, any kind of food or treats, and being close to his people! His favorite is when he can nap while touching your feet (silly boy). He enjoys walks and running around the yard and would love for his new family to have a fenced in yard.  Buddy will thrive with an active family who has the time and energy to continue training a big puppy and give him the structure, exercise, and affection he needs.  Are you the home that is a perfect fit for lovable Buddy? Stop by our weekly adoption events on Saturdays from 12-4 pm at 372 Townline Road in Mundelein, IL 60060 to meet our adoptable animals in person. Story
“Wake up, Maggie, I think I got something to say to you…”Maggie Mae might just steal your heart before the song’s even through! With her scruffy black coat and soulful eyes, this lovable girl is equal parts sweetness and spunk. She’s a “wanna-be lap dog” who believes every couch, chaise, and heart has room for one more cuddle.Maggie’s the kind of gal who’ll follow you from room to room just to be near you—whether you’re sipping coffee or working from home, she’ll be your loyal little roadie. She’s learning her house manners (she’ll whine or pace by the door when nature calls) and settles nicely in her crate after a few minutes of protest—because even rock stars need their beauty sleep.Outdoors, Maggie loves to romp and chase the other dogs, though she’s still figuring out the whole “fetch” concept. She barks at birds, squirrels, or the occasional doorbell like she’s announcing her next big single, but she’s working hard on learning her “quiet” cue.Maggie gets along well with dogs, adores gentle kids, and loves being petted more than anything. She’s a slow grazer at mealtime and prefers a little company while she eats—because dinner’s better with good vibes. She may not have mastered guitar solos, but she’s nailed “sit” and “go potty.” What she’s really hoping to learn next? The rhythm of a forever home that keeps her tail wagging and her heart full.Interested in adopting this dog? Story
Quinn is a quirky conundrum. She is so playful and gregarious - with other dogs. At first we thought she was uber shy, or had had a tough beginning to her life which was going to take time to change. What we are starting to discover is that she is generally a happy go lucky bouncy girl who will self play with stuffies (throwing them up in the air), bounces through the yard like tigger, is house trained and crate trained, and generally very entertaining. She takes treats softly, gives tender licks, and will snuggle up briefly and selectively when things are calm and the humans are sitting or laying down and her environment is relatively calm. The obstacles that are still challenging for her are 1) she is very very leash reactive/fearful. This will require skilled training. 2) She must have 4 legged friend(s) around her. They give her confidence around people, going outside and coming inside and generally feeling safe. 3) She requires a home with a 5`+ fence. Until she is fully trained on leashes she would be a flight risk and therefore needs a safe place to get her run on. (she is medium energy). When guests come into the house, as long as the fosters dogs are in the area she is quite inquisitive and will be right there sniffing out the new people with her tail wagging, She is with a new foster and the transition was smooth in that she met all the pups, figured out the door to go outside and in, and was sitting on the sofa between foster mom and dad before the end of the first day. She is very resilient, adaptable and as long as her minimum needs are met (fence, dogs, training) she will be a remarkable family member. Check out her videos on our Facebook page (link at the bottom of our website).Adoption fee: $625All dogs/puppies have been fully vetted including spay/neuter, micro-chipping, worming, heartworm testing and preventative treatment, flea/tick preventative, and all required age appropriate vaccinations. As required by Wisconsin Act 90, all dogs will have received a veterinarian exam (CVI) within the past 30 days. Our adoption process requires the submission of an online application at JRsPupsNStuff.org. Additional details about who we are, what we do and how to adopt can be found on our website.JR’s Pups-N-Stuff Dog Sellers License 522614

Story
Hi, I’m Abe Lincoln. I’ve been told I’m a pretty special guy—calm, well-mannered, and easy to live with.I’m very much a creature of routine. It took me a few days to settle into eating in my foster home, but once my bowl was moved closer to the dining table, everything clicked. Now I happily eat whenever my people sit down for meals or snacks. I like being part of the action.Every morning starts the same way: I go out to the enclosed backyard to take care of business, then I come back inside and wait patiently by the refrigerator for my treat. That said, if you sit on the couch and call me over, I’ll choose snuggles over snacks every time.I love my dog bed so much that I have two of them. During the day, I like to relax downstairs, keeping an eye on things. At night, I head upstairs and sleep peacefully in whichever bedroom my bed is in. I’m flexible, as long as I’m comfortable and close by.I spend time with my foster`s three-and-a-half-year-old grandson, who visits often. He’s loud and still learning how to be gentle, but I’m endlessly patient with him. There’s a lot of activity in my foster home—people coming and going throughout the day—and I handle it well. I’ll bark to let you know someone’s at the door, but once they’re inside, I just want to sniff their fingers and say hello. After that, I’m completely at ease. The neighborhood kids even stop by to take me for walks.I do have a strong interest in squirrels—they’re very exciting, and I’ll bark and try to chase them. I’ve also noticed that when visitors come in with big, busy energy, I naturally gravitate toward them, nudging them for pets until they calm down. I seem to have a talent for helping people relax.I don`t have any other canine companions in my foster home. While I may bark at other dogs, I did live with a small senior dog in my prior home, and I have met bigger dogs before and have done well with a proper introduction. My ideal home is one where someone is present most of the time—whether that’s a family, a couple, or a single person who works from home or has a flexible schedule. I do well in active households with visitors and kids, as long as they’re kind. I appreciate routine, a cozy place to rest, and people who enjoy companionship as much as I do. A fenced yard is a bonus (especially for squirrel watching), but not required if I get regular walks and attention. I thrive with structure, positive reinforcement, and gentle leader
