Odin is a loving, loyal companion who will be your devoted shadow. He's a true velcro dog who loves very hard. Odin is a large poodle Rottie X that came out this way from California years ago. His owner was not able to give him the proper care and enrichment he needed because of her work schedule and so she left him in our care. We came to know him as a bouncy, sweet, at times protective and even complex boy. He cherishes outdoor adventures, going on long walks, and he's well-trained with great leash manners. We have him crate-trained, potty-trained, good in the car, enjoys playing with his dog pals, and does well in boarding. Odin is a pretty neat and easy dog in the home aside from his tendency to resource guard some things such as couches/beds and high value items. We have spent many hours working with him and believe he is in a great behavioral place to find a home. Odin is very selective with strangers and is a bite risk towards unsuspecting people that push him past his comfort zone. He has undergone training to make him safer around others and has no problem wearing a basket muzzle when socializing or out in public. He has very good leash manners and won't go out of his way to bother any passersby. Odin will be an amazing best friend for a single man or woman, even a couple that can keep up with his rules and boundaries. He CANNOT live with little children and CANNOT live with cats. Odin would do fine with a playful female dog and can have one as a housemate. He may even enjoy a passive playful male. Odin will be protective of his territory and his people. Due to that drive in his nature he is part of our behavioral dog post adoption support program. We will always be available to support the owner that takes this special dog home. Our sweet boy Eddy does suffer from occasional seizures. This may be related to his severe gluten allergy, and he will be relying on his forever family for lifelong management.Hiya! When I heard my new foster parents discussing what my name should be, I tried very hard to politely send them the suggestion to call me “Dreamboat!” I figured that would be a nice, descriptive name. I mean, look how handsome and graceful I am! Plus, I am completely house trained, and I am very well behaved and don’t need to be put in a crate. I get along with everybody, from young-ens to oldsters, plus I enjoy the company of my new canine foster sister – she shares all her toys with me! I especially like the squeaky stuffies.Around 6 yrs old, I like people a great deal, and I like showing them how good I am at listening. I have learned the commands “sit,” “down,” and “give paw,” all in the short time I’ve been in my foster home, and I come when I’m called, especially if it means we might go for a walk. I’m very affectionate and I will lovingly soak up any scritch-scratches you care to give me around my ears and chin. Ooh, would it be okay if I sit on your lap to cuddle? You laugh, but I can’t wait to show you how easily I can fold up my long legs so that I can cuddle on any size lap!My foster family describes me as fun, adorable, affectionate, respectful, and quite calm. Meet Zeppelin! This handsome butterscotch buddy is about 2.5 years old as of 12/25. He was originally purchased for a specific type of training, but as he matured, it was evident that he didn't have the confidence required for such a job. He is better suited as a house dog and companion. His best friend is our cattle dog mix, Toast, and we would love for them to go to a home together. They bring out the best in each other and are much more comfortable when the other is near. Zeppelin and Toast need a fenced-in yard and a home without children. Meet Ken!Ken is a 12-year-old Standard Poodle who is equal parts sweet, silly, handsome, and just a little bit Muppet.This friendly guy loves people, does well with other dogs, and would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for an easygoing best friend. Ken is maybe a little bit too interested in cats, so home without feline friends might be a great idea.Ken is housebroken, crate trained, eats well, and has recently had a full medical workup, dental care, and a fresh groom. He’s looking good and officially ready to mingle!One of Ken’s absolute favorite things is simply being outside. Give him a nice yard and a comfortable spot in the grass, and he’ll happily spend hours lounging, watching the world go by. He still enjoys running around and playing in the yard too.Ken does have some anxiety, particularly with thunderstorms, loud noises, and a lot of commotion. He gets supplements to help keep his anxiety manageable, but he would be happiest in a quieter, low-key home. A busy household with lots of noise or young children would likely be overwhelming for him.We are also keeping an eye on some occasional weakness in his feet that could be an early sign of degenerative myelopathy.
