Meet Ebony — a one-of-a-kind beauty with a heart just as special as her look! This 1-year-old, 35-pound Poodle/Hound mix has the coolest soft, wiry coat in shades of black and gray and a personality that will win you over in no time. Ebony is the perfect mix of playful and calm. She loves to run and play with other dogs, so a home with a canine buddy would be ideal for her. But once playtime is over, she’s all about the cuddles, pets, and being told what a good girl she is! She’s doing great with house training when kept on a schedule, is crate trained (though she’d prefer not to spend too much time there), and walks pretty well on a leash. Around the home, she’s relaxed and easy to have around—just happy to be near her people. Ebony can be a little shy when meeting new people, but don’t let that fool you—she warms up quickly, especially if treats are involved! Because of her gentle nature, she would do best in a home where someone is around often and where she has a fenced yard to safely stretch her legs and play. James was adopted into a home with other dogs but is having difficulty with sharing the home. His adopter has made the difficult decision to rehome James. He is a 2 year old Poodle/Doberman/Akita. He is neutered and was just seen at the vet for a check up. When asked to describe James, we were told he is loving, playful and quick to learn. If you are looking to add an easy companion who prefers the company of people over other animals, send us an email at support@almosthomeri.org We are asking a donation be made to the rescue in lieu of our standard adoption fee.
