Story
Prentiss is a beautiful standard Poodle born on March 27, 2025. She’s a sweet, loving, and gentle girl. Prentiss gets along wonderful with other dogs and kids. She got to meet a few cats at her last vet visit and didn't have any issues with them as well. She knows how to walk on a leash and is almost potty trained. If she has an accident, she knows to use the pads. She loves to play with balls and stuffed animals. Prentiss rides great in the car and seems to really enjoy it. She is a total love bug. She gives lots of kisses and likes to snuggle up in the bed with you. This precious girl would make a great addition to any home. We would prefer that she goes to a home that has another dog because she loves other dogs so much.

Story
Meet Milo — the kind of dog people dream about and hope to find.  This gorgeous Apricot Doodle, weighing 55 pounds and 4 years young, is the total package and ready to bring joy to a new family. Milo has been with his family since puppyhood, and as life changed and children came along, they realized that Milo deserves more time and attention than they can give. It’s a loving, thoughtful decision made with Milo’s best interests at heart — because there is truly nothing lacking in this wonderful boy. Milo is fantastic with young children, housebroken, crate trained, and has a calm, well-mannered personality that makes him an ideal family companion. He’s the kind of dog who settles easily, loves being included, and just wants to belong.   Critter Cavalry Rescue will be helping Milo find the perfect match and will be making sure he is neutered and fully up-to-date on vet care on 1/14. From there, he’s ready to step right into a lucky family’s life and become someone’s best friend. Trust us — someone is going to hit the jackpot with Milo.  To learn more, please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJanuary 12, 2026, 9:04 pm

Story
If you would like to apply to take LUCY home, click the link next to their picture, or Visit our website at Www.godogsgorescue.org and fill out an application! We look forward to hearing from you. Lucy is a 4-year-old Poodle mix/Doodle with a sweet soul and an affectionate nature. She originally came from a rescue, where she was found wandering and severely matted. Since then, Lucy has received the care she needed and is now groomed, spayed, and up to date on all veterinary care. She is a well-mannered girl who is both house-trained and crate-trained. She takes food gently, sits politely, rides comfortably in cars, and is non-reactive on walks. She enjoys other dogs in neutral settings and could live with a compatible canine companion of a similar size and temperament. However, she will benefit greatly from additional training and support by an experienced owner. She’s happiest when she can spend time outdoors walking, hiking, or exploring, but she’s also content relaxing on the couch with her person. Lucy truly wants to be part of the family and will thrive where she can be an integral part of daily life. Lucy would do best in a home without children. She tends to be more comfortable with women and may need some extra time to warm up to men, but with gentle handling and positive reinforcement, she forms strong bonds and becomes a very loving and loyal companion.

Story
Meet Max! A wise and wonderful twelve-year-old Poodle mix currently living in Ayer, MA, whose heart is as soft as his charcoal-dusted black coat. Max is a medium-sized gentleman, weighing in at 40 pounds, and he’s got one soulful eye that sees straight into your heart—and probably your snack bag, too! Max is the definition of a devoted companion. His world revolves around his people, and he’s happiest when he’s close—whether it's trotting by your side on a peaceful walk, snoozing nearby while you work, or simply following you from room to room. Max isn’t just a velcro dog—he’s a full-on shadow with a heartbeat. Because Max forms deep bonds, he struggles when left alone. His separation anxiety is very real and not just a bit of whining. When his people leave, Max becomes stressed and unsettled. At first, he’ll pace and vocalize his concern with soft whining and barking. If left for longer stretches, this turns into digging or chewing at doors and crates in a determined effort to find his way back to his loved ones. He doesn’t mean harm—his heart just hurts when he’s not near his favorite human. This anxiety can also make Max reactive in certain situations. When feeling stressed or unsure, he may bark, growl, or charge at other dogs or unfamiliar people, especially if they approach him or his person too quickly. It’s his way of saying, “I’m scared and overwhelmed,” not “I’m aggressive.” Max is working on this through consistency, calm guidance, and plenty of reassurance. A quiet home with an experienced caregiver who understands reactivity and is comfortable using positive reinforcement will be key in helping him feel safe and confident. Max knows a long list of commands and thrives with structure, routine, and predictability. He’s neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. He requires a low-fat diet to manage chronic pancreatitis and receives care for hypothyroidism. Max is seeking a home where he can be the one-and-only pet, without young children or a revolving door of visitors. If you’re someone who’s home often or can include Max in your daily routine, he’ll repay you with unwavering loyalty and affection! Could Max be the one to fill your life with quiet companionship and devoted love? Reach out to meet him at adopt@joyfulpets.com!
