About a year ago, she came from a backyard breeding situation, and that early experience has left her feeling nervous and unsure about the world around her. Ruby does best in calm, predictable environments with people who understand that trust takes time. With slow introductions, consistency, and patience, she begins to relax and show her quiet sweetness. One of the ways Ruby feels safest is by following the lead of calm, confident dogs. A mellow canine companion can help her feel more secure and show her that new things aren’t so scary. In contrast, high-energy or overly playful dogs tend to overwhelm her and increase her stress, so a peaceful, low-key home is important for her emotional well-being. Ruby is looking for a quiet, patient home with a dedicated person—or people—who are willing to move at her pace and gently help her build confidence. Busy households, young children, and chaotic environments are not the right fit for her. PLEASE NOTE: This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to Massachusetts shortly with no additional travel costs. Roughly 90% of our dogs are adopted prior to their transport up to MA and 10% are adopted locally.Meet Gidget! Gidget is approximately 6 months old and 38 lbs currently and she likely has some Doodle in her mix. In her foster home, she is working hard on her house training, crate training and leash walking. She could join households with dog-savvy kids 10+, and other dogs. She has not been exposed to cats. As a puppy, she will need someone who is home the majority of the day and invested in training.Gidget is very high energy and needs an equally active home who can keep up with her.Her foster says, `Gidget is a beautiful girl with a jet black wavy coat, a few single white hairs scattered around and some brown, brindle looking areas on her feet which makes her very unique. She is ready to share her love and puppy shenanigans with her new family. She would love at least one other playful pup in the household to spend time with and to learn the ropes.`She is available for adoption in N Dartmouth in March.   &#226&#156&#168Princess Charlie Is looking for her person after being deserted by her owner in the downtown area of Nashville, TN.  She was found scavenging for food in trash cans and luckily a kind rescue hearted woman took her home. &#226&#156&#168 At just 2 years of age and 44 pounds, this beautiful Poodle girl Charlie has already been through so much that she does not deserve. She came to us after the caring individual who found her, tried everything they could to help her get healthy.  Her illness and symptoms were just puzzling and frustrating for a diagnosis.  After thorough testing, we finally uncovered the truth about Princess Charlie.  She has Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency (EPI). This means her body can’t properly digest food without daily enzyme supplements. The good news is that it is treatable with a consistent drug being administered.  Dogs with EPI can live happy, full, completely normal lives. The reality, though, is that her medication will be lifelong and averages about $200 per month. We know that someone is out there with the financial resources to love her and give her the medication monthly that will be her lifeline for a good long life. Princess  Charlie will need someone fully invested in her health — someone committed not just to loving her, but to advocating for her and keeping her on the treatment plan she needs to thrive.  This girl is SO worth it.   What we know about this special needs girl we call Princess Charlie, is that she is the sweetest, smartest little girl. She gets along beautifully with everyone and has such a gentle, loving spirit. Even after a rough start to her young life, she greets each day with hope and kindness. She truly deserves nothing but the very best from here on out. If you’ve ever wanted to make a true life-changing difference for a dog who needs someone to rescue her for her lifetime, our girl Princess Charlie is your girl.
