Her name is Curly! Gee, I wonder why. A 2-year-old, 40-pound Poodle mix, she was found by a good Samaritan who brought her to rescue. She was severely matted at the time, and she'll need to be groomed periodically. Otherwise? She's great! A jumper, she's a sweet, dog friendly girl (although she does not like cats!), who loves to play and absolutely adores her kennel mate. Just terrific! How about it? Meet Dolly. Please read what her foster mom has to say about this special girl. Dolly is a 3 1/2 yo 46 lb standard poodle rescued from a commercial breeding kennel by Logan’s Heroes. Dolly is learning what it is like to be in a loving home and doing really well. She potties outside when taken out regularly and has never pooped in our house. She is a quiet dog that doesn’t want to do anything wrong. She is such a sweet dog who deserves a great home. She enjoys going for walks in the park or just around the yard. We do not have a fenced yard that it would be helpful to have one but not required. Dolly is crate trained and keeps her crate clean. She is currently in a home with 2 large poodles and would enjoy having another dog in the home to learn from and play with. Dolly seems to like men and women but seems to go to men first. She knows the command "wait" and not bolt out the door and stop when we come inside. Dolly is now spayed, up to date with vaccines and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $400.00. Because of this, Elsie can be a little shy at first and will need a patient family willing to give her time to warm up and build trust. Once she feels comfortable, her sweet personality really shines. Elsie is beginning to enjoy life with her foster family and is slowly gaining confidence every day. She especially loves running around the yard and stretching her legs outside, so a secure fenced yard is a must for her future home. Elsie does very well with grooming and handling and has been wonderful for treatments. As a Standard Poodle, she will require regular grooming to keep her coat healthy and comfortable. She is also really well with potty training. Regression is normal in transition. She will walk on a leash, but she is still nervous in new environments. Loud noises or sudden surprises can startle her, and she may pull when she gets scared. Because of this, she would do best with a family who understands shy dogs and can continue helping her feel safe and confident. Elsie enjoys having toys and soft blankets nearby for comfort, though she’s still learning how to fully play with them. She does well with calm, gentle dogs who help her feel safe. She was found scavenging for food in trash cans and luckily a kind rescue hearted woman took her home. &#226&#156&#168 At just 2 years of age and 44 pounds, this beautiful Poodle girl Charlie has already been through so much that she does not deserve. She came to us after the caring individual who found her, tried everything they could to help her get healthy. Her illness and symptoms were just puzzling and frustrating for a diagnosis. After thorough testing, we finally uncovered the truth about Princess Charlie. She has Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency (EPI). This means her body can’t properly digest food without daily enzyme supplements. The good news is that it is treatable with a consistent drug being administered. Dogs with EPI can live happy, full, completely normal lives. The reality, though, is that her medication will be lifelong and averages about $200 per month. We know that someone is out there with the financial resources to love her and give her the medication monthly that will be her lifeline for a good long life. Princess Charlie will need someone fully invested in her health — someone committed not just to loving her, but to advocating for her and keeping her on the treatment plan she needs to thrive.
