Kensi is a new arrival from a local shelter.  She was on the Code red List because she was so scared and deemed "unadoptable".  She is about a year old and weighs about 35 lbs.  She was frightened at first but warms up quickly.  She had to be shaved because she was a matted to the bone.  She is really adorable.  More to come on this new arrival or interested email us. ##2664139##

Daisy is new to our rescue. She came to us when her breeder closed down. We are still learning about her personality. Her foster says that she is great with dogs of all sizes and adores children. She walks well on a leash and is crate trained. She was a little on the thin side and her foster has been giving her extra snack to help her put on a few pounds. Daisy is AKC registered. Meet Kodi — proof that age is just a number. At 12 years old and just 6.5 pounds, Kodi is the kind of loyal, low-maintenance companion dreams are made of. He’s house-trained (even in the rain!), sleeps quietly through the night in his crate, and quickly mastered the doggie door like the smart little guy he is. Kodi loves nothing more than being near you—happily curled up at your side or trotting along on a walk, just glad to be included. He is gentle, calm, and full of life, with so much love left to give. He eats only canned food due to his lack of teeth and his age. Kodi didn’t deserve to be surrendered to a shelter by his owner but now he’s ready to be someone’s whole world. Maybe yours? We are a RESCUE GROUP, not a shelter, and all of our animals are in foster homes. To start the adoption process, email us at adoptions@earstexas.org requesting an application. Submitting an application does not commit you in any way, but helps us make the best match between people and our available dogs. Your current or past dogs must be inside dogs who have been spayed/neutered and are on heartworm prevention. All of the dogs in our program are inside dogs and are completely vetted including all vaccinations, spayed/neutered, free of internal parasites, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention before adoption. Our adoption process includes an application, check of vet records or personal references, interview, neutral site meet & greet with the dog and your family, and a home visit.
