Story
George is an adorable boy that was found as a stray on the streets of Bakersfield. No one ever came for him. George is now with us and flourishing. He is now housebroke, learned to walk on a leash, gets along great with their dog and CAT. He is full of joy. George weighs 14 pounds and is less than 2 years old. All dogs in our program are up to date on all their shots, spayed or neutered, and micro chipped. Our dogs are in foster homes which enables us to learn more about them in a home environment. We do not place dogs on a first come first serve basis, but rather to the home best suited for them. An application, adoption fee and contract are required. Please direct all questions to adopt@crdogrescue.com. All our dogs can be met with an approved application. Thank you for looking at a rescue dog for your next family member.

United Hope for Animals (UHA) is a volunteer group and does not have a facility for animals.  This pet is part of our Shelter Support Program at the Baldwin Park Shelter. For more information about the pet, the adoption process, or our program please contact the Volunteer Adoption Coordinator listed below. Because animals are adopted/rescued daily, please also check the United Hope for Animals Facebook page to see if an animal is still available OR call the Baldwin Park Shelter at 626-962-3577. When inquiring about an animal, please reference the animal’s ID number. This will enable the volunteer or Baldwin Park employee to locate the status of the pet. Thank you for supporting rescue. Pet Information #A5547986 Scooby is a scruffy 9 year old brown and black neutered male Schnauzer Terrier mix who was found as a stray and brought to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on April 18. Weighing 15 lbs, Scooby is an adorable fellow who looks like a hedgehog. His fur is wonderfully soft though! Frisky and curious Scooby prances around the yard, and he doesn’t mind being carried. In his kennel he gets pretty excited when people and dogs walk by, and he barks a loud hello, but outside that area he was not very reactive. He walks nicely on leash and already knows sit. Quickly winning the hearts of staff and volunteers, Scooby will be a friendly and fun companion in any home where he is loved.   SCOOBY’S VIDEO: https://youtu.be/LH4ZjyN_eUk For more information on this pet, contact volunteer UHA Adoption Coordinator Lisa at lisaa@unitedhopeforanimals.org   May 22, 2023, 12:58 pm

Story
Meet Santos! He is a 1 1/2 year old schnauzer/husky mix. He is a sweet, goofy boy who loves being with his human. Santos enjoys playing outside and like to play fetch; although he is still learning to give up the ball after retrieving it. He knows his sit command and is very treat motivated, but he still needs some training. Santos is about 50 pounds and does not realize his size and sometimes jumps on you or can be mouthy. He does however, respond well to correction, but needs someone who can use patience and positive reinforcement to give him guidance and boundaries he needs. He is a smart boy with lots of potential. Santos gets along with other dogs that are more on the submissive side and are smaller than him and he is totally fine with cats. He needs a more experienced dog owner that will give him the boundaries and rules he needs. He will also do best in an adult only home. Santos is full grown at 50 pounds. Our adoptions are restricted to residents within 30 miles of the South Bay area of Los Angeles. We do not ship animals or do long distance adoptions. See our adoption policies for more details on our adoption process. If you are interested in adopting one of our available pups, please complete an adoption application. You can find the application at: https://noahs-bark.org/adoption-application. We will arrange a meet and greet with the pet with approved applications only. Please note, an approved adoption application and meet and greet does not guarantee you will be selected to adopt the pup. We do not show our dogs any other time. Please follow us on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Noahsbarkdogrescuela.All donations to Noah's Bark are secure and tax deductible. Give a tax-deductible gift to Noah's Bark at bit.ly/NBDonate. Story
Darling little Huck is just sweet as can be! He is the cutest little guy, maybe terrier and Schnauzer mix?? Who knows, either way he is the cutest little scruffy guy! Little Huck came in as a stray so we don’t have any history on him, but he is one people seem to fall in love with right away. Unfortunately his family hasn’t come to claim him, so he is now up for adoption! Huck is still settling in so he can be shy at first. However, he tends to gently come up for affection as soon as you sit down. He is such a doll, who just needs a little patience. Once he is comfortable with you he is just the sweetest little guy, so excited to see you walking up to his run. He likes to play with toys, and prance around with you up in the yard. Don’t even get us started on his prance!! It’s the cutest thing, he is like a little Clydesdale. Huck seems to be comfortable with dogs more his size, any pup too big and he just gets nervous and looses interest in playing. Our guess would be about a 30lb maximum if he goes home with another pup. Huck is just under 20lbs himselfMay 27, 2023, 7:38 pm

Story
Ted has been with us for nine years… And by us I mean me and my two children… Under the circumstances the place that we are moving will not allow him… He does have a little anxiety… before we adopted him he was abused, so he doesn’t like to be touched near his rear end. Other than that, he’s a pretty good dog. He isn’t great with little children, although he was always fine with mine… I think he was just being very protective if there was other kids around. He is registered as a service animal. He is very low maintenance and very protective and would do really well with adults who are calm and non aggressive. This is very difficult for me and I hope that I can find a place where someone will take care of him and love him as we have for so many years. Please let me know if that place might be yours.
