He was given up by his previous owner, who used him for breeding, and eventually lost her home. He came to us severely matted and shut down in demeanor. He doesn't know how to walk on a leash and is learning to use a doggie door so you can only imagine how his 'breeder' treated him and the other dogs he came in with. Radar is so sweet and within a day, eventually warmed up within his foster home to his humans. We would love for Radar to go into a home with another friendly dog, to help continue to bring him out of his shell. Meet Santos! He is a 3 year old schnauzer/husky mix. He is a sweet, goofy boy who loves being with his human. Santos enjoys playing outside and like to play fetch; although he is still learning to give up the ball after retrieving it. He knows his sit command and is very treat motivated, but he still needs some training. Santos is about 50 pounds and does not realize his size and sometimes jumps on you or can be mouthy. He does however, respond well to correction, but needs someone who can use patience and positive reinforcement to give him guidance and boundaries he needs. He is a smart boy with lots of potential. Santos gets along with other dogs that are more on the submissive side and are smaller than him and he is totally fine with cats. He needs a more experienced dog owner that will give him the boundaries and rules he needs. He will also do best in an adult only home. Santos is full grown at 50 pounds.Our adoptions are restricted to residents within 30 miles of the South Bay area of Los Angeles. We do not ship animals or do long distance adoptions. She’s a playful, happy, smart puppy that is housebroken and well behaved in the home. Chanel can be crated, but prefers to sleep on her dog bed near her loved ones. She loves playing with her foster siblings and has even been great with cats. She loves everyone she meets and rides great in the car. Chanel will be an amazing addition to any loving family that loves the terrier-schnauzer mix breed and wants a beautiful puppy to add to their happy home. Chanel has received her wellness exam, comprehensive fecal test, deworming, is microchipped, and received her boosters.
