Story
We're rehoming our eleven-month-old Terrier. We got him and his littermate brother as puppies. We have issues with a move and taking care of parents + he and his brother have developed what's known as littermate syndrome: they're so bonded to each other that it's getting in the way of each of them growing into a confident, independent dog. He deserves to be the center of attention for a while, in a home where he bonds with his people instead of leaning on his brother who will be re-homed separately.Bates is sweet, smart, and thoughtful. He watches before he acts, figures things out quickly, and wants to please. He's affectionate without being clingy and learns fast. Like most terriers he has plenty of energy and curiosity, so he does best with regular exercise and something to do with his brain. He's crate trained, neutered, microchipped and healthy!

Story
Meet Blackberry! Blackberry is a sweet 5 month old Terrier and Chihuahua mix who weighs about 10 pounds. He is a very shy, quiet little boy who is still learning that people can be trusted. He recently lost the only home he knew and is now adjusting to life in a foster home. Understandably, all of these changes have been a lot for such a young puppy, and he will need a patient person willing to give him the time he needs to feel safe. Blackberry may keep his distance for now, but we are already seeing little signs of trust. He will take treats from his foster mom’s hand and even give her fingers a few kisses before quickly retreating if he gets nervous. He enjoys spending time in the yard and is perfectly capable of entertaining himself with a little ball. Blackberry is still a puppy and can occasionally get into things when left alone, so a little puppy proofing, guidance, and continued training will help set him up for success. Blackberry needs someone who understands that earning his trust will happen on his timeline. He may not run into your arms on the first day, but each little step forward will mean something special. With patience, kindness, and a safe place to settle in, we believe this quiet little boy has so much potential to blossom. If you are willing to let Blackberry come to you when he is ready, you may just find that the sweetest relationships are sometimes the ones that take a little time to grow. If you are interested in adopting, please visit the I.C.A.R.E. Dog Rescue website and complete an adoption application: www.icaredogrescue.org/ready-to-adopt Adoption fee includes: spay/neuter • shots up to date • micro-chip • fecal and vet check Breeds and age are not guaranteed. Story
UPDATE: Jagger resides in Austin, TX now but is still available for adoption. Meet Mellow Mick Jagger! This sweet guy once found himself at the shelter on the euthanasia list only for being scared of the leash, but those days are behind him thanks to positive reinforcement and CHEESE! :) He's fine on a leash now and enjoys a stroll in a calm neighborhood. He's crate trained, house-trained and good with people and dogs (hasn't been cat or kid tested yet). Jagger gets excited to see dogs through the fences, but then just sniffs and likes to chill in the yard with them and go on walks. He can be shy around strangers, but will walk up to a new human briefly and is fine with their soft pets, if he gets a premium STINKY cheese in return! ;) He’s so gentle! Mick honestly just wants to chill ALL day at home and wait for you to get home from your errands or hikes, rather than join you. Total home body kinda guy! Jagger is so ready for a forever home! Is that you? If you are in Austin or close to Austin, fill out an adoption application on our site: www.pawsoflarescue.org/adoptabledogs-mickjagger

Story
I rescued Lucky a month ago from a kill shelter where he was going to be euthanized. Unfortunately, my Golden Doodle will not accept him and has been very aggressive towards Lucky. It has become so unmanageable to have the two in the same house at this point. Lucky is a very sweet and highly intelligent dog who loves his toys, attention, and and is very food motivated. He gets along with all of our family dogs and plays nicely. My Golden Doodle won’t seize the bad behavior towards Lucky and it’s not getting any better. I would love to find him a great home where he can be his funny, smart self and thrive. He’s extremely athletic and would do great on runs, hikes and beach adventures. Anybody would be lucky to adopt Lucky.!

Story
Meet Santos! He is a 4 year old schnauzer/husky mix. He is a sweet, goofy boy who loves being with his human. Santos enjoys playing outside and like to play fetch; although he is still learning to give up the ball after retrieving it. He knows his sit command and is very treat motivated, but he still needs some training. Santos is about 50 pounds and does not realize his size and sometimes jumps on you or can be mouthy. He does however, respond well to correction, but needs someone who can use patience and positive reinforcement to give him guidance and boundaries he needs. He is a smart boy with lots of potential. Santos gets along with other dogs that are more on the submissive side and are smaller than him and he is totally fine with cats. He needs a more experienced dog owner that will give him the boundaries and rules he needs. He will also do best in an adult only home. Santos is full grown at 50 pounds. Our adoptions are restricted to residents within 30 miles of the South Bay area of Los Angeles. We do not ship animals or do long distance adoptions. See our adoption policies for more details on our adoption process. If you are interested in adopting one of our available pups, please complete an adoption application. You can find the application at: https://noahs-bark.org/adoption-application. We will arrange a meet and greet with the pet with approved applications only. Story
Meet Ace! Ace is a handsome 2–3-year-old, 15-pound sweetheart with a warm, friendly personality. ❤️ He’s relaxed in the house and backyard and does great in the car and out exploring. He can be a little cautious in new situations, but his curiosity and loving nature quickly take over. Ace is still learning his leash skills and will do best with someone willing to give him a little patience while he gains confidence. This adorable little guy is ready to find his forever home!
