Story
Meet Bentley! 🐾 This handsome 3-year-old is currently in foster care and ready to find his forever home — and honestly, he's been way too patient waiting for the right family to notice him. Bentley is fully vetted and microchipped, so he's all set on the practical stuff. What he really needs is a home that gets him — and here's what that looks like: 🐱 He would like a cat companion. Bentley does best with another cat in the house. He pays attention, learns from them, and genuinely doesn't like being alone. Got a resident kitty? Bentley just might be their new best friend. 🎾 He lives for playtime. Wand toys, tunnels, more tunnels — this boy has opinions about enrichment and they are correct. If you love an active, playful cat, Bentley will keep you entertained. 🍽️ He knows what he likes. Bentley prefers minced or flaked Fancy Feast (and the Brothers brand), though some days he's strictly a dry food guy. Lickables and treats? Always a yes. 🛋️ He's not a lap cat — but he's your cat. He won't be glued to you on the couch, but he absolutely wants your attention and will come ask for it on his own terms. Respect the vibe, and you'll have a devoted companion. ✅ Bonus: Perfect litter box habits. Uses scratch pads like a gentleman. Bentley deserves a home where he can truly thrive — please share his post and help us find his people! 💙

I am looking to rehome my cat Marley to a responsible, loving home due to personal circumstances and housing changes. He’s very good with kids and talkative lol. This is a very difficult decision, and I want to make sure my cat goes to someone who will truly care for them. Feel free to ask any questions *includes all his belongings”

Story
We got Ruger (1y/o tabby) and his brother, Jax (2y/o black), bonded brothers, in Winter 2025 from a friend who was moving to a non-cat-friendly complex. In the short time we've had Ruger and Jax, it's clear that they're incredibly sweet, calm, playful cats. However, we've learned that Ruger has a protein allergy that requires Hydrolyzed Protein food, or his upper lip becomes swollen and irritated. Ruger was on Prednisolone for 2 weeks to treat the swelling, which was helped until the swelling returned regardless of the strict HP-diet. His vet is suggesting daily medication for life. Unfortunately, my schedule makes it hard to manage the medication schedule and it's not feasible to afford the cost of the prescription food/meds. Ruger and Jax are both incredibly loving cats. Ruger wants nothing more than to be the center of your world while Jax happily watches from the shadows, coming out to be loved on his own terms. They both deserve a home that can keep them happy and healthy!

Story
f you would like an application or have any questions, please send an email to us at: info@ht-ac.org Ramona was rescued as a stray in Hartford, where she was abandoned by her owners and had been living underneath a ramp outside of a convenience store on the corner of two very busy streets for two years. She is currently in a loving foster home in Berlin. After she settles in, Ramona loves nothing more than to snuggle on a lap and get all of the hugs and kisses she wants. She is very affectionate, and drools when she's particularly happy. She does not trust other animals, and needs to be an only pet in a calm household without young children. She is 3 years old, and has been spayed, vaccinated for rabies/distemper, tested negative for FIV/FeLV and microchipped.

Story
Xiomara and Cintra will be attending an ADOPTION EVENT on Sunday, July 19 from 1-3 pm on the North Shore Animal League adoption bus, which will be parked in front of Petco, 188 Kitts Lane in Newington, CT. Please stop by for a visit! If you would like an application or have any questions, please send an email to us at: info@ht-ac.org Xiomara (brown tabby) and Cintra (grey tabby) were rescued as strays, and are in a foster home in Waterbury with other cats. Xiomara LOVES to play, and gets along very well with other cats. She will walk up to any cat, chirp, and give them a head bump to see if they wanna be friends. She is shy initially, and will require patience. Cintra is affectionate and friendly, and likes to cuddle up next to her favorite people in bed or on the couch. She is not fond of being picked up. She gets along with other cats, as long as they are friendly towards her. They are chill kitties, and may be fine with cat-savvy kids aged seven and up. They are bonded and should be adopted as a pair. They are one year old, and have been spayed, vaccinated for rabies/distemper, microchipped, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV. The adoption fee is $500 for both cats as a pair.

Story
PLEASE HELP TINKERBELL FIND THE PURRFECT HOME! Tinkerbell was surrendered by her elderly owner due to moving into a complex that does not accept pets. She is a very sweet, affectionate kitty who loves to sit in any available lap for attention, and purrs loudly! She is chatty, and will follow her favorite people around to talk and get attention. Tinkerbell is 18 years old, and has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated for rabies/FVRCP, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, and has had a senior blood panel and dental cleaning. The blood panel indicated that she is in the early stages of renal failure, so she is eating canned food. Her adoption fee is $150.

Story
Meet Blue 🩵 – Sweet, Snuggly, and Full of Love Blue is my sweet girl cat my husband gave me just three weeks into dating — and she’s been part of our story ever since. She absolutely adores my oldest daughter; they were inseparable, and their bond has been so special to watch. Blue is incredibly affectionate and gentle. She loves to snuggle up close, jump onto cozy spots, and play around the house. She’s soft, loving, and happiest when she’s near her people. Unfortunately, my youngest daughter, Luna, is very afraid of small animals. After 6–8 months of trying to acclimate them, it hasn’t worked. Blue (and Kaya) have been confined to one room, and they deserve space, freedom, and more interaction. Ideally, we’re hoping for a long-term foster or a loving permanent home. I would love for them to stay together (and possibly Kaya as well), but separate placements are okay if needed. Thank you for considering giving her the home she deserves. 🩵
