Story
I got her from a friend when she was a kitten, and she is now about 1½ years old. She is a beautiful orange and white tabby with a smart, independent personality. She enjoys having her own space but also loves spending time with people once she's comfortable. She is incredibly quick-witted and eager to learn. I taught her how to sit, high-five, and do a handshake when she was still a kitten, and she learned them so quickly. She loves sunbathing in a warm window, watching the world outside, and chasing her favorite feather toy on a wand. She is curious, playful, and enjoys exploring before a cozy nap.I'm looking for a calm, cozy, and loving home where she can feel safe and comfortable. Rehoming her has been an incredibly difficult decision, but I want to make sure she goes to someone who will love her, be patient with her, and give her the happy, stable life she deserves. She is a wonderful companion with a bright personality, and I know she'll bring a lot of joy

Story
I have had these two brothers since they were 8 weeks old, they are quiet cuddle bugs that love to sleep on you and under your blankets. They are bonded brothers that need to stay together at all cost. They would prefer a quiet home without other pets and children. They are roughly 7 years old. My wife and I have recently just had our first born and cannot provide them the love and care they deserve.

Story
Duch is looking for a home where she can be the only pet. She is sweet, vocal, and deeply loved. She wants her people close and is very affectionate yet prefers not to be picked up. In our multi-pet family Duch has been the odd one out. Unfortunately, because of that stress, she has urinated outside of the litter box. We have worked on it — three behaviorists, vet testing, calming supplements. The answer comes back the same every time. She is stressed in a multi-pet home and needs an always clean box she does not have to compete for. In a quiet house with no other pets I think she would be a different cat. She comes with an automatic litter box, her supplies, and her vet records. She is a wonderful cat. She just needs to be the only one. We would very much like for her to stay local and close so we can keep tabs on how she is doing.

Story
Lilac is friendly, outgoing, and a confident girl! She is very sweet, easy-going and enjoys a good belly rub . Lilac had a little make over when she arrived in foster . She needed a couple matts shaved . Her fur is growing in and she is awaiting her forever home . Lilac is a cat with warmth . Great first time owner cat! Lilac would do well on her own or with one other feline. Lilac is estimated at 3 years old and fully vetted..

Story
I rescued Zoe 4 years ago when she had nust turned one. She is a wonderful companion, loves to cuddle in my lap and sleep with me. She does well in a calm setting but gets nervous around people who are fearful or not comfortable with cats. She will try to scratch when she is afraid. The only reason I am looking for a new home for Zoe is because my medical issues. I recently had knee replacement surgery and developed an infection.i would love for her to go to a nice home.

Story
Hi! We’re Oreo and Reese, two 5½-year-old sisters who have been together our whole lives. We came all the way from the British Virgin Islands about five years ago and were adopted together. Now, through no fault of our own, our family is moving to an apartment that doesn’t allow cats, so we need a new home. And there’s one thing we know for sure: we want to stay together. We may be sisters, but you definitely won’t have trouble telling us apart — either by our looks or our personalities! 🐾 I’m Oreo, the black-and-white girl. I’m the more outgoing, affectionate sister and a serious snuggler once I know you. I love laps, have a wonderfully loud purr, and enjoy being wherever my people are. I’m playful and curious, too — toy mice are my favorite, and sometimes I’ll even ask my people to follow me around while I investigate things! I love affection, especially chin rubs, and I’m very good at letting you know when I’m ready for some love. I can be shy with strangers at first, but once I decide you’re one of my people, you’ll get to see my sweet, social, snuggly side. 🐾 And I’m Reese, the pretty striped girl. I’m the quieter, more independent sister. I’m sweet, curious, observant, and I like to take a little more time before deciding someone has earned my trust. But once I’m comfortable, my personality starts to shine. I especially love kneading on my favorite blanket — preferably when it’s draped over my person’s legs on the couch. It’s one of my favorite cozy routines! I also enjoy playing with corks and ping-pong balls and keeping a close eye on everything happening around me. Together, we enjoy the finer things in life: cat trees, scratching posts, windowsills, sunny spots, toys, cozy blankets, good food, naps, and being near our people. We can both be shy and skittish when we first meet someone, so we’re looking for people who understand that the best relationships sometimes take a little time. Give us patience and the chance to feel safe, and we’ll show you just how special we are. We’ve never lived with other pets, and with such a big transition ahead of us, we’d be happiest in a home without other animals. We’re good with adults; Oreo is comfortable with adults, while Reese hasn’t lived with children, so a calm household would be a great fit for us. We’re both spayed, microchipped, litter-box trained, and in good health. Most importantly, we’re a bonded pair and need to be adopted together. We’ve had each other through every chapter of our lives — from the British Virgin Islands to our first home and now through this unexpected change. We’d really like the next chapter to be the one where we find our forever family. I’m Oreo — the black-and-white, snuggly, social explorer. And I’m Reese — the striped, independent, observant sweetheart. Two sisters. Two very different personalities. One forever home. Could you be the person who gives us the happy ending we deserve? (Adoption fee is for both)

Story
Meet Thunder! She is a 4 month old grey dilute torbie, and she needs the help of a kind, patient, cat-savvy human. Thunder came from the great outdoors along with her siblings, and while they love cats, they are still quite unsure about people.Thunder and her friends are not your typical friendly, outgoing kittens. These cuties are what we call `Spirit Kittens`. You approach them, and she will run to the other side of her enclosure & stare at you, maybe give a little hiss. We are able to pet her when she is eating a yummy treat, but she does not love it just yet. These kittens need a person that will spend some quiet time sitting with them, offering treats, and letting them take their time to come out of their shell. Another huge helper is another friendly, outgoing, playful cat to help show them the ropes on being a cat!The truth is, Spirit Kittens may never fully bloom into sweet, friendly, outgoing cats. But, a lot of them do take big, positive steps forward once given a safe space.Due to this shyer personality, we are not placing Thunder or her siblings with kids. She needs a teens+ or adult only home with cat experience, and we are requiring the adopter have a friendly, outgoing, playful cat at home to help them feel comfortable. Our shelter is open Tuesday-Sunday from 12-4 (closed Mondays). If you are interested in this pet, please review our adoption process at www.lowellhumanesociety.org/adoption/#process so you`re prepared to adopt & stop by the shelter with the required information to take home this pet.
