OUR VETS WILL NOT PERFORM SPAY NEUTER SURGERIES UNTIL DOG IS 6 MONTHS OLD. ❤️ Meet Enzo! ❤️ Enzo is a 2-year-old, big-hearted, goofy, and incredibly sweet boy who brings laughter and love wherever he goes! With an energy level of 8/10 , Enzo is always ready for an adventure, a game of chase, or some good old-fashioned fun. He especially loves high-energy dogs who enjoy running, playing, and roughhousing. His favorite companions are often Whippets and other playful pups who can keep up with his energetic spirit. Enzo is part yoga master, part little fox, part seal—and maybe even half cat! He loves curling himself into a tiny ball, performing surprise barrel rolls, giving gentle little love nibbles, and sleeping with his back feet in the air. His silly quirks will keep you smiling, while his affectionate nature will quickly steal your heart. Enzo is smart, eager to learn, and already knows several commands. He’s also a wonderful travel companion and does beautifully on car rides—even those lasting 10 hours! Enzo is looking for a loving home with someone who understands and appreciates his energy. He’ll thrive with plenty of exercise, playtime, companionship, and mental stimulation. He can experience separation anxiety, especially when he hasn’t had an outlet for his energy, so he needs a family willing to support him with patience, structure, and understanding. Enzo generally does well with other dogs and enjoys doggy daycare and dog parks. He does best with larger, energetic dogs who enjoy rough play, though he also has experience with smaller, calmer dogs. On walks, he may become leash-reactive if another dog lunges at him, and he needs a thoughtful handler who can help him navigate those encounters. He typically prefers to avoid conflict and will walk away when possible, but he has shown aggression toward dogs that bully or challenge him. Enzo has so much love, laughter, and adventure to give. He’s ready to find his forever family! ❤️ Could you be the person Enzo has been waiting for? Text: Kevin (469.623.3999) Or Sara (214.549.9905)  General Info - PLEASE READ! Each one needs a great home, a dog-buddy/can on Companion to play with and owners who are educating experienced with Australian shepherds These babies are gentle and sweet! 2 have already been adopted and 1 other female is in a foster home They are ready for ADOPTION - but we’re also looking for two or three very, very short-term foster homes so we can bring the remaining dogs to the metroplex! As of tomorrow all the pups will have been to vet for exams, shots, Heartworm tests, chips etc; we will work out spays & neuters with the Adopters. Right now we just want them to be able to be living inside and decompressing…. Although the first three took to suburbia like they’ve lived here all of their lives! they have been surprisingly adaptable to indoor living, comfy furniture and air conditioning! IF YOU APPLY and if WE APPROVE YOU it means we are assuming when you meet any of our dogs and fall in love you're ready to ADOPT AND HIM OR HER HOME!     General Info - PLEASE READ! *Our $450 adoption fee is based on the cost of rescuing, transporting and vetting each dog; we do not try to compete on prices with municipal shelters whose funds are paid by the city. Our philosophy is to rescue highly adoptable dogs, have them live kennel-free in private homes for temperament assessments and individual personalities. We are working with a family, whose patriarch/grandfather passed away; he had two separate litters of puppies arranging age from about 9 to 10 months. Although the first three took to suburbia like they’ve lived here all of their lives! they are not-surprisingly enjoying indoor living, comfy couches and air-conditioning!   If you’ve been looking for a young Australian Shepherd that has moderate energy, is eager to please and is completely ready to be loved and spoiled you’ve found the right group!   If you’re interested in meeting one of the dogs for adoption please complete our application on the website below:   www.dashdog.org   Then TEXT SARA: 214-549-9905   So I can have somebody check your application and get back to you!   THANK YOU! We work hard to match EACH dog with the right family - kids or no kids, other dogs male or female and/or cats. With very rare exceptions all dogs over 6 months will be spayed or neutered PRIOR to adoption - dogs under 6 months will include a spay/neuter date AND referral info for lower-cost surgery if the adopter does not choose to use her or his personal vet. OUR VETS WILL NOT PERFORM SPAY NEUTER SURGERIES UNTIL DOG IS 6 MONTHS OLD.General Info - PLEASE READ! Story
Meet Chelsea! A spirited three-year-old Kelpie/Border Collie/Australian Cattle Dog mix currently in Denver, CO, whose tricolor coat comes wrapped around an adventurous athlete, devoted cuddle buddy, and exceptionally clever companion. At about 45 pounds, Chelsea has the makings of a four-legged Olympian! She loves balls, tug, fetch, swimming, car rides, and just about any adventure where she can stretch her legs and put that busy brain to work. She has even taken a few flights! Give Chelsea at least an hour of daily exercise, mental enrichment, training, and a dependable routine, and she is ready to be your enthusiastic teammate. After the action, Chelsea knows how to switch gears. She settles beautifully, enjoys lounging in the sunshine, rarely barks, and loves cuddling with her favorite people. In fact, multiple pet sitters have said she is the easiest dog they have ever watched, which says a lot about how nicely she settles into a routine! She is crate-trained, house-trained, spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and wonderfully cooperative at the vet. This smart girl already knows an impressive collection of cues, including sit, stay, leave it, drop it, back up, and several others! Chelsea thrives with structure and bonds deeply through activity, training, and routine. On walks, she can pull or become very excited around some dogs, sometimes lunging or spinning. Consistent positive reinforcement and giving her space from passing dogs help her succeed. While Chelsea enjoys one-on-one play with many dogs, large groups, excessive barking, doggie daycare, and dog parks can make her uneasy. Smaller, quieter canine companions may be more comfortable company. Her compatibility with cats has not been fully assessed, particularly because she may chase outdoor cats and other small animals. Calm, respectful older children are a good match. A secure yard with a 5- to 6-foot fence would give this speedy athlete room to move safely. Off-leash adventures should wait until her recall has received additional training, especially with tempting bunnies nearby! Chelsea needs an active, dog-savvy family or individual ready to combine adventures with affection, guidance, and plenty of snuggle time! Could Chelsea be the clever, loving adventure buddy you have been waiting to meet? To learn more about adopting Chelsea, contact adopt@joyfulpets.com.
