We expect her to mature to around 40 pounds and remain a medium-sized dog. She could be mixed with Border Collie or another shepherd-type breed, but nothing too large, as her growth and weight have been consistent with a medium-sized dog. Blossom is expected to be somewhat smaller, likely around 30 pounds full grown. Based on feedback from volunteers, foster families, and breed identification software, most guesses suggest she may be mixed with Jack Russell or Parson Russell Terrier. Some of us even think she has a bit of a Beagle look! Both girls have been impeccably cared for. They have already received two sets of puppy vaccinations, deworming, rabies vaccinations, and microchips. They will be completely ready for their new homes, and DASH will coordinate and cover their spay surgeries when they are approximately six months old.We are seeking separate homes for each puppy, ideally with one or more canine companions. A young, playful male dog of similar size and energy level would be the perfect match. Both girls are medium-energy puppies who enjoy playtime and exercise, but they are also happy to settle down and relax after they’ve had fun. They are already crate trained and housebroken, although adopters should anticipate occasional minor setbacks since they are still very young puppies. Both Blossom and Bubbles are exceptionally smart and responsive to training. They love praise just as much as treats and are affectionate, cuddly puppies who enjoy being close to their people. Although they’re still babies, they’re ahead of the curve thanks to living indoors with a dedicated foster family that has worked extensively on crate training and housebreaking—the hardest part of raising a puppy! The girls love toys and chewies. They may chase a ball and decide not to bring it back, but they have plenty of time to master retrieval! We are looking for families where someone is home for a good portion of the day and has the time, affection, and attention to devote to a young puppy.Their dream homes would include at least one playful canine companion who is larger than they are and young enough to enjoy an active lifestyle. If you’re interested in meeting either Blossom or Bubbles, please complete an adoption application at: www.dashdog.org Then text Sara at:214-549-9905 so that your application can be reviewed and an adoption meeting can be arranged! Story
Harvey is a very handsome Aussie that needs another home.  His owner has five small children and it is too much for Harvey and causing him anxiety.  He is about 8 years old and he needs  a calm home. He would love lots of human contact and another dog would be great too but not a necessity.  He is still active and sweet.  He is certainly housebroken and a great best friend. He is smart, typical to his breed, and very warm and protective to the family, which includes a 9 MO, 2 YR, 4 YR, and 6 YR old. He currently attends daycare with other dogs as well. ##2751378##

Thank you!  Meet Astro: The Farm 'Dropout' Looking for a Full-Time Cuddle Gig! If you’re looking for a fluffy shadow and a genius-level companion, Astro is ready to clock in! Astro originally tried his paw at being a working farm dog, but he quickly realized that playing is much more fun than working. He traded the sheep for snacks and the fields for feet—specifically, your feet! Why Astro is the Ultimate Catch:     •    The Perfect Size: At 30 lbs, he’s the ultimate 'medium' fluff ball.     •    Brainy & Observant: He’s incredibly smart and picks up on cues from his humans and other dogs instantly.     •    Social Butterfly: He’s great with kids and other pups.     •    The Ultimate 'Velcro' Dog: His foster says he’s always right there with you. If you’re looking for a loyal sidekick, look no further. Astro’s Dream Home: Astro is looking for a family that will give him plenty of exercise to burn off that smart-dog energy and, most importantly, lots of human contact. IF YOU APPLY and if WE APPROVE YOU it means we are assuming when you meet any of our dogs and fall in love you're ready to ADOPT AND HIM OR HER HOME!   Meet Adeline — though her new family is certainly welcome to rename her if they choose! This sweet, affectionate girl has quickly proven herself to be an easy, adaptable companion with a wonderful balance of playful puppy energy and an easygoing personality. Adeline is both food and toy motivated, making her a joy to train. She especially loves playing tug and will happily do just about anything for a tasty treat. Frozen Kongs and blueberries are among her favorite snacks! She is eager to please, highly handler-focused, and has shown great resilience and recovery when faced with new experiences. If something makes her uncertain, a little encouragement and a treat are usually all she needs to regain her confidence. Socially, Adeline is fantastic. She is playful and neutral with both large and small dogs and especially loves a good game of chase. Her current best friend is a Boston Terrier named Meatball, and the two spend much of their day happily racing around together. She has also done very well with cats, showing curiosity while remaining respectful and appropriate. While Adeline certainly has typical puppy enthusiasm, she settles nicely in the house after just 10–15 minutes of exercise. We would describe her as medium energy with a lower drive level rather than a high-octane working dog. She would thrive in an active home and could be a wonderful candidate for beginner dog sports such as Fast CAT or even dock diving. Although she hasn’t had the opportunity to swim yet, she definitely appears intrigued by water. Adeline has already made tremendous progress in a short period of time. When she first arrived, she was hesitant about getting into the car, but after only a few days she now hops right in with confidence. She is doing very well with both crate training and potty training and has been an all-around superstar with handling. Nail trims, baths, ear cleaning, veterinary visits—none of these phases her. In fact, she was an absolute rock star at the veterinary clinic and hasn’t met a stranger yet. Everyone she meets is simply another potential friend to love on! She has recently been introduced to cows and chickens and chose to keep a respectful distance while continuing to play and explore. Loud noises and new environments have also been handled well. Adeline would benefit from continued positive exposure to new places and experiences, and with additional public outings, she is likely to become an exceptionally confident, well-rounded companion. Curious, affectionate, eager to learn, and always ready for fun, Adeline is the kind of puppy who will make a wonderful addition to a family looking for a loving best friend and adventure buddy. Story
Meet Jasper! A soulful three-and-a-half-year-old Border Collie/Rottweiler mix currently in Colorado Springs, CO, whose calm, loving heart is wrapped in a stunning 70-pound merle coat. With the gentle spirit of a wise old friend and the quiet loyalty of a true companion, Jasper is the kind of dog who will melt into your side on a cozy evening and follow you room to room just to be close. Jasper thrives in peaceful surroundings and forms deep, meaningful bonds with his people. He does well around children and enjoys their company, but he would do best with calm or older kids who understand boundaries and know how to treat him gently. Loud or high-energy play can make him uneasy, so a respectful home environment will help him feel safe and content. He’s a mellow guy who doesn’t need much to be happy: a soft spot to relax, the comforting presence of his caregiver, and maybe a treat puzzle or two to keep his brain engaged. Food-motivated and clever, Jasper knows a delightful list of commands like sit, stay, paw, spin, and even “middle”, a trick that’s as cute as it sounds! He’s fully house-trained, crate-trained, and perfectly content when left alone, making him a great match for someone who works from home or has a flexible schedule. While Jasper doesn’t require intense exercise, he does enjoy slow, sniffy walks where he can take in the world at his own pace. His favorite pastime? Being in the same room as you, soaking up your presence like sunshine! After being involved in two traumatic incidents with unfamiliar dogs, one when he was a puppy and another more recently, Jasper has developed a strong reactivity to dogs he doesn't know. He may bark or lunge when he sees them, especially near fences or in close proximity, and he continues to work through that with training and patient support. That said, he’s done well with familiar dogs in controlled settings, showing that he can feel safe with the right structure and trust. He’s happiest in a home with a fenced-in yard and a caregiver who values companionship, consistency, and quiet. Loud noises can startle him, but with reassurance, he settles easily. Jasper isn’t just a dog, he’s a constant companion, a quiet presence, and a gentle soul waiting for someone to see the beauty in his sensitive heart. If you’re seeking a loyal, low-key friend who will return your care with quiet affection and soulful eyes, Jasper may just be the one waiting to share your next chapter! To learn more or to welcome Jasper into your life, please reach out to adopt@joyfulpets.com.
