Story
Gemma is a very sweet and loving dog, she's still young (2 years). She has the typical Beagle and Dachshund behaviors and she gets bored so she needs an experienced adopter especially one familiar with small hunting breeds. She does not do well in the kennel and needs someone to be home during the day or a home without cats where she can be out while she's alone. We did a trial run with one family who had cats and they didn't keep her in the kennel while they were gone and had no issues, however her cats were stressed out so they weren't able to keep her, that's the reason why we're rehoming her, she needs a home without cats and we have a few. If you have any questions let me know!

Story
Here is my and Perlita’s story. I have been rescuing dogs from my country (Ecuador) streets since many years ago working jn between with a rescue organization. One day they rescued a stray dog that was on a car accident, I felt in love so deeply with him instantly so I kept him and loved him so much. He is my baby. But I came to the USA to study but I couldn’t bring him with me so I left him for a while until a travel pet agency helped me to bring him here with me. Since then I’m the happiest person ever. My live feels complete. That moment made me think that I could help more doggies like my baby to give them a chance to get a better live here in the USA. In my home country there’s just a few people that care about dogs. That’s a terrible thing but it’s the cruel truth. So working in between with the rescue organizations and the travel agency for pets we made possible the chance to bring dogs here and give them in adoption. So that’s how PERLITA this beagle came to our lives.

Story
Hi, I am Canela, and Cinnamon works too.I am so happy that you are reading my profile. I am a really good pup who has been with a family for a year now, but they can’t keep me, so I am looking for a new home.I love to play with children and other dogs. I am very social and love most people too. I am great for car rides especially if they end up at the beach. I love to play in the water and splash around. Toys are such a great invention, aren’t they? My favorite is the stuffy kind, but sometimes I get so excited that somehow they just explode.Besides going for walks I love to cuddle with my people. I am getting better walking on a leash but sometimes I pull when I get excited. I listen very well to commands like sit or come. I know how to behave in the house.I spend a lot of time outside, but I do know that if I am inside I need to ask to go out to do my business. If I sound like your kind of furry friend, then just fill in an application and we can meet on Zoom call.Lots of love to giveCanela To get more information go to https://hope4lapawz.org/adopt and click on the dog's photo. NAME: Jenny Slate AGE/GENDER: 1.5yrs, Female BREED: Beagle mix TEMPERAMENT: Shy, nervous, affectionate WEIGHT: 20 pounds HOUSE TRAINING: Good. CRATE TRAINING: Good. She sleeps and eats in a crate. OTHER DOGS: She loves other dogs, especially her size, although she is used to all ages and sizes. CATS: I prefer to live without cats. CHILDREN: No children please! ADOPTION DONATION: $600.00 HEALTH: Jenny Slate is healthy! She is altered, microchipped, flea treated, and dewormed. NOTES FROM FOSTER HOME: Jenny Slate is a Beagle mix with a spirit as endearing as the comedian shes named after. She embodies resilience and the sweet serendipity of finding joy after hardship. Her journey, marked by the shadows of a past where she knew little kindness, has transformed into a tale of triumph and love. Shy at first glance, with eyes that mirror a cautious heart, Jenny Slate takes her time to unveil the richness of her personality. But beneath that initial reserve lies a dog brimming with fun and sweetness, ready to engage in life's playful dance- but she's also a homebody who isn't super adventurous. Despite her small stature, Jenny Slate harbors a big heart for fellow canines, regardless of their size. She exudes a gentle camaraderie, finding solace and joy in the company of other dogs. Jenny would prefer a home without cats or small children. Her journey from a life of neglect to one filled with love and care has been nothing short of remarkable. With each day, Jenny Slate demonstrates an inspiring ability to love and trust again, showing off the leaps and bounds she has made in her recovery. Now, as she continues to blossom, shes not just surviving; shes ready to share her newfound capacity for love. Jenny Slate may have started her journey in the shadows, but shes stepping into the light, ready to love and be loved, proving that her past does not define her future! Story
Jack was our first baby. We adopted him from the Seattle Humane Society when he was estimated to be 1. He was found on the streets of LA as a stray although we believe he was someone’s pet. He was house trained and knew how to sit and shake. He was the love of our lives! As our family grew, we now have 1 and 4 year old boys. Jack is amazing with kids and loves to snuggles. But he is aggressive around food and barks at every little noise. This makes it so hard for naps and bedtime. It makes it especially hard if friends come over or family unannounced. He barks so loud and whines non-stop. Jack is almost 13 and we love him so much. We think he would be better off with someone that can give him 100% of their love and attention.

Story
FosterHi! My name is Kasey and the vet thinks I’m about 10 yrs old. I am a black and tan chi mix and kind of resemble a beagle. I am a medium dog with my long legs and weigh about 20 pounds. I am doing so well in my foster home and have not had a single accident. I’ve even mastered the doggy door! I also get along well with my foster sisters and love to sleep near my foster mom in bed!I do need a little time to warm up to you, but once I do I want to be near you always! I love lounging in my kennel and naps are a must! I would love to find my forever home where I can follow my human around and get all the pets!IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.April 23, 2024, 4:41 am
