PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE BIO ON THIS DOG BEFORE REQUESTING AN APPLICATION. MANY OF OUR DOGS HAVE STRICT REQUIREMENTS FOR THEIR ADOPTION. To see more pictures of this dog, please visit our Facebook page and look under “photos” and then “albums”. 9-month-old male Beagle/Chihuahua mix, about 10 pounds. Liberty and Honor were born at the rescue on 5/22/25 to momma Daisy, who was pulled from the Fresno shelter pregnant. Honor is timid at first but quickly becomes your best buddy. He like to be where the people are and will get anxious and vocal when alone. He is good with other dogs but would do fine being an only dog. He is a cuddle bug with adults but has been afraid of children. Not sure how he does with cats. He needs all the things puppies need; potty training, leash walking and further socialization! To request an adoption application, email smidgetrescue@hotmail.com Adoption contract and fee applies. All adoptable dogs can be met at adoption events hosted every weekend. For a list of scheduled events go to: https://www.facebook.com/SmidgetRescue/events . Smidget Rescue is not a shelter, and dogs cannot be seen at the Rescue location. All dogs are fostered throughout the Puget Sound area and are brought to the events where they can be met by prospective adopters. Additional pictures of adoptable dogs can be seen at: https://www.facebook.com/SmidgetRescue/photos_stream?tab=photos_albums. All adoptable dogs are spayed or neutered at 6 months of age or older. Puppies are adopted with a refundable spay/neuter deposit (in addition to the adoption fee) and adopters are required to get their puppy to our vet for their pre-scheduled spay-neuter appointments. APPLICATIONS CAN BE OBTAINED BY EMAIL ONLY. Adoption process includes application, meet & greet, home visit and reference check. Email Jamie at smidgetrescue@hotmail.com or click on the CONTACT link on this page. PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS BEFORE SENDING. 8632781We get a fair number of incorrect emails and Jamie is not able to contact potential adopters. Notice: We do not ship dogs out of state. You must live within a three-hour radius of Seattle, WA, (such as Portland, Vancouver B.C., etc.), so we can arrange for a home visit. If your home seems like a great fit for the dog you would like to adopt, you must then drive to meet the dog at one of our weekend events or at the fosters home.

Meet Momma Daisy 🌼🐾 6 years old | Chihuahua/Beagle-ish mix | 22 lbs of “big-boned beauty” Okay, okay… she’ll tell you it’s genetics. And technically, she’s not wrong 😉 But the truth is Daisy has hypothyroidism and is now on medication (for life), which means this sweet girl is already on her way to feeling healthier and slimming down. A little daily stroll and fewer snacks (she says rude) and she’ll be thriving! Daisy came to us from a California shelter very pregnant and delivered two adorable babies, Liberty and Honor. She’s done the hard work of motherhood and is officially ready to retire into a life of comfort, cuddles, and unconditional love. Personality-wise? She is not a mover and shaker. She’s more of a “lounger and snacker.” While she’ll happily go for a walk and even wrestle a bit with her kiddos, her favorite activities are: • Cuddling • Eating • Following her person around like a loyal little shadow She will pick her favorite human and glue herself to them. But if that person leaves? No problem — she’ll temporarily glue herself to someone else. She’s adaptable like that. Daisy is: ✔ Doing great on leash and starting to really enjoy walks ✔ Using the doggie door like a pro ✔ Likely to ignore a cat ✔ Fine with older kids ✔ Extremely sweet and affectionate This girl doesn’t ask for much. Just love, a comfy spot to nap, her daily meds, and someone to adore. In return, you get a devoted companion who will happily help you rack up your steps just by following you from room to room. If you’re ready for a loving, low-key best friend, email smidgetrescue@hotmail.com to request an adoption application 💌🐶 Adoption contract and fee applies. Story
Rose and Remi are sisters. Our house has grown and we no longer have space or time to properly care for them as they are active dogs who need lots of space. They’re usually good with other animals but recently have started competing for attention with one another which can turn into fighting. They need to be adopted separately or by some one who has lots of room for them both and is experienced in dog training. They’re both crate trained, they’re both updated on their shots and only Remi is spayed, Rosa is not. They love car rides and walks, their loving animals. They love snacks and running outside. They need someone experienced with dogs and who is patient. We would prefer someone wanting to adopt them who do not already have pets as these dogs require lots of attention and affection. Their beautiful and loving and deserve a furever home.

Apply today! https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/SSAR/Dog Disclaimer: Please note that dogs in a rescue environment may behave differently than they would in a home setting. While we do our best to assess each dogs habits and behaviors, we cannot guarantee that any dog is fully potty trained or will not have accidents after adoption. Changes in environment, routine, stress levels, and transition into a new home can all impact a dogs house-training habits. Story
Animal Information: Veronica is an 8-month-old 23 lb now spayed female scruffy mixed breed who was confiscated at just 6-weeks-old from a property with over forty dogs and held for investigation at County of Hawaii Animal Control. She was well socialized by staff at Animal Control and is social and friendly with people and dogs. Upon release she was immediately at risk due to space. Given her bubbly personality and adoptability, she was pulled to foster 5/29 and tagged for Dog Gone Seattle. She is excellent with other dogs and should have a canine companion in her foster home to ease transition. We will share more information as we get to know her in foster care. Foster Profile: Meet Veronica! This adorable Beagle-Terrier mix is a total crowd-pleaser. She is incredibly friendly, loves making new human friends, and is great with both older kids and other dogs! On top of her winning personality, Veronica is already fully house-broken and crate trained. Veronica is a massive ball-enthusiast who is always ready for a game of fetch. While her hound nose means she is still working on her listening skills when called, her high toy-drive makes her super fun and easy to train. It’s best to keep toys up and away unless you really enjoy picking them all up as she will drag them all out. Lack of access she hasn't been tested with cats yet. If you are looking for a loyal, fun-loving family dog, Veronica is ready for her forever home! Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, heartworm test, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization (ID 81-5101166). Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was transferred from County of Hawaii Animal Control. She will be transferred via Paws Across Water Hawaii (PAW HI), arriving to foster care on 6/10/2026 and available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.August 7, 2026, 1:26 am
