Story
Howdy, I’m Sophie My dad died suddenly, and my sister and I were left to fend for ourselves until someone came to help and realized we needed help, too. It was a scary few weeks, but we are both safe now and hoping to find someone to love us as much as our dad did.  I’m past all those youngster shenanigans and love to cuddle, hang out with friends, and spend time in the sunshine. Walks would be great, and I won’t complain if you have treats to share. If you are a Weim lover, you know we get better as we age! Falling for me... Discover Bee: Our Gentle Soul in a World of Constant Wonder Bee has a heart full of love and a touch of quirk Loves: Predictable routines, the companionship of other dogs, her special selection of toys, and the serenity of a peaceful environment. A Little Shy: With new experiences and loud noises. Bee's Unique Journey - Living in a Familiar Yet Ever-New World: Like the captivating story of "50 First Dates," Bee's life is a beautiful blend of comforting routine and gentle discovery. Her soft, expressive eyes tell a tale of a loving soul who finds joy in the familiar and navigates the new with cautious curiosity. Bee's Daily Adventures: Each day for Bee is a quiet journey through well-loved paths. She finds solace in the predictability of her daily routines, from sunlit morning play to evening snuggles. The company of other dogs is always a delight, as she engages with a shy but genuine playfulness. Her toys, though few, are cherished companions in her tranquil world. Bee's Gentle Approach to Life: While Bee may tread carefully around new experiences and prefers the quietude of her environment, her approach to life is a lesson in finding beauty in simplicity. She reminds us that there's comfort in routine, and even in a familiar world, there's always something new to cherish. Bee’s Playful Side: In the safety of her known surroundings, Bee's playful nature emerges. She might cautiously approach a toy as if it's a new discovery each day, bringing a smile to those who know her well. Bee’s Philosophy: "Life doesn't have to be loud to be full of joy. In the whispers of the familiar, in the quiet play with friends, and in the gentle discovery of everyday things, there's a world of wonder waiting to be appreciated."Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 3, 2024, 1:42 pm

Story
I adopted Mila when she was 3 months old, she is now 2 years old. She is a very affectionate dog. She likes to be given a lot of attention. She is very funny, very happy, and has a lot of energy. She gets along very well with everyone and with children. She has never shown anger problems or anything like that. I want her new home to be with very kind people, who give her the time she needs, like taking her to the park to run and give her lots of love. If you have children, please, Mila is for you. She really loves children and plays a lot with them.

Story
As Vader enters his later years, the cuddly force is strong with this one. He's an 8-year-old gent who still has plenty of energy to play and bring joy to his forever family, and will chill, too. He's a master with kids. Vader will play with other dogs, too, and enjoys a wide range of toys. He's awesome in his crate, on a leash, or riding in a car. He's not a fan of cats - those rebel scum - so it's best to keep them on the farthest edge of the galaxy. For now, he's on a limited diet, so treats are verboten (but he is a fan). He can be a bit of a couch potato, but all the better if his people are sitting next to him. This beautiful boy will thrive in a family with other dogs, or even as the center of the universe. All Dallas Pets Alive adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon adoption. The standard minimum donation for dogs over six months to seven years is $200, puppies under six months is $250, dogs eight years and over are $100 unless specified otherwise. Story
Baxter Lee Age: 11 years Breed: Weimaraner Sex: Neutered Male Baxter is a sweet and easygoing gentleman who has recently experienced the loss of his beloved guardian. Despite this sorrow, he maintains his charming personality and loves to engage in playful antics, especially when it comes to his favorite pillows and toys. Baxter enjoys a game of keep away and has a delightful knack for making any item his own. Personality: Known for his laid-back demeanor, Baxter is the epitome of a "go with the flow" dog. He is well-mannered and comfortable in various environments, whether in his crate or enjoying some freedom outside of it. His health is exceptional, and he brings a calm presence wherever he goes. Social Life: Baxter is friendly with other dogs and currently shares a bond with a pit bull mix who has also faced a recent loss. He enjoys structured dog socials and walks beautifully on a leash. Despite being a Weimaraner, which are often known for their energy, Baxter is quite reserved and prefers a slower pace. Ideal Home: Baxter would thrive in a relaxed household that mirrors his senior citizen vibe. A calm environment would suit him perfectly, allowing him to bask in love and comfort as he adjusts to his new life chapter. He’s ready to find a new companion to share his gentle spirit with.

Story
Copper is a fantastic buddy that loves his people. He loves watching for squirrels and protecting the yard! Copper adores his “stuffies” and loves to do zoomies with them. Copper would also prefer a home without children. He enjoys a brisk walk, know how to sit and shake and loves to howl when he hears any siren! Copper has a good amount of energy, but also loves to relax with his humans. Soft plush blankets are his favorite, and he can barely wait for you to lay them out before he tries and snuggles in. Copper can be choosy about other dogs, but has lived with a large and small dog with success! If you are looking for a devoted companion, Copper is the guy for you. If you feel your home might be the right place for this wonderful dog, the place to start is with the adoption application found at www.dfwrescueme.org/adopt.  Once submitted, the foster will contact you to tell you more, and to arrange a meeting! The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $250.00, which includes their vaccinations and spay/neuter. Copper is participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so custody and ongoing care are provided by the foster, not by DFWRM.October 14, 2024, 10:13 pm

Story
Hello! Nice to meet you! My name is Latte; I’m a 5 year-old Catahoula mix, weighing about 100 pounds. I’m pretty true to my breed: sweet, intelligent, loyal and don't really like negotiating too much. I need exercise and stimulation - but once I get that I am a couch potato just wanting to be around my people. I love car rides (especially going to Starbucks and getting puppuccinos) ! I love long walks where I can explore (I'm not a huge fan of buses and Amazon trucks but I am working on that). My real favorites, however, are treats, belly rubs, and hugs. I'll even show you a few tricks (I know how to sit and shake) if you give me a treat! I walk with my dog friends all the time with no issues, but I love my people so much that I prefer to be the only pet in the home.  My trainer (yep… I’ve got a pro trainer!) says since I am a confident dog, and small quick movements don't scare me I would be great around kids! I would always like a meet and greet first of course. I’d like to be with someone experienced with my breed, and willing to give me a bit of time to let me show them just how great of a dog I really am! I just need to settle in, adjust and get to know and trust you -  but once I do… I’ll give you SO much love. Please give me that chance! I’m working hard in my training to be the best dog I can be for you. My trainer said that, as part of the training program, he’ll even continue to work with my forever family at no cost (as long as you live in the DFW area). He loves and trusts me that much!  I can't wait to meet you! If you feel your home might be the right place for this VERY good girl, start with the adoption application found at www.dfwrescueme.org/adopt.  Once submitted, the foster will contact you to tell you more, and to arrange a meeting! The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $250.00, which includes vaccinations and spay/neuter. Latte is participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so custody and ongoing care are provided by the foster, not by DFWRM.October 14, 2024, 10:13 pm
