Story
Karlee is a sweet and sassy 4-year-old Yorkie who knows exactly how to steal hearts. Fully housebroken and crate trained (though she’ll happily remind you she’s a princess when asked to use it), Karlee loves curling up in bed with her foster parents or lounging on the couch, which she considers her royal throne. She enjoys going for walks, especially when the weather is warm, but prefers shorter strolls in the winter since the cold isn’t her style. Karlee is wonderfully social and gets along with dogs, cats, and kids who understand how to respect her space. True to her Yorkie nature, she bonds deeply with her chosen person and will shower them with loyalty, while the rest of the household becomes her royal court. While in the care of Zoe’s House, Karlee had non-cancerous tumors removed from her ears. She has recovered well, but potential adopters should be aware that there is a chance these growths could return in the future and may require monitoring or treatment. Karlee is spayed, up to date on shots, and ready to move into her forever castle. Because of food allergies, she thrives on lamb or salmon diets and insists her kibble be mixed with wet food—otherwise she’ll turn up her nose like the princess she is. With her sparkling personality, affectionate nature, and love for cozy cuddles, Karlee is ready to reign supreme in a home that will pamper her the way she deserves. Karlee is currently being fostered in Columbia, Lancaster County PA. Interested adopters must be willing to travel for potential meet and greets. Story
Meet Lily. Lily came to us as a retired breeder dog from a commercial kennel. She is a Yorkie and weighs about 6 lbs. Lily turns 4 years old in July 2025. She is more on the shy side but she is learning how to be loved in her foster home. Lily will do best in a home with a securely fenced yard and another small dog to help her learn how great living in a home can be. Lily gets along well with the other small dogs in her foster home. She is now spayed and had a dental cleaning. Sadly her teeth were so bad that all but one had to be removed so she will have to stay on soft food. Lily is up to date with vaccines and microchipped. She is working on housebreaking and crate training in her foster home but her adopter will need to continue to work on it. Her adoption fee is $450.00. Story
Meet Penny. Penny came to us from a commercial breeding kennel. She is a Yorkie and weighs just under 5 lbs. Penny is about 3 and half years old. She is a very friendly little girl. Penny loves to snuggle and lay on dog beds. She likes to wear clothes because she is a little chilly right now until her hair grows in. Penny gets along very well with other dogs but would do well as an only dog if you can give her lots of love and attention. Housebreaking is a work in progress, she is just a tiny girl so she cannot go too long without going outside to go potty. She does like to go outside in a fenced in yard with her Foster's other dogs. Unfortunately, Penny hàd two seizures just 2 weeks apart.  She did go to our veterinarian for a work up and we made sure she did not have any seizures for several weeks before we posted her again for adoption. She is not on any medication for seizures since she has not had any more. Her bloodwork did not show any reason for the seizures. She is no longer using oral flea and tick products to be on the safe side but has used Revolution without any issues. Penny is a Yorkie so she may need a  dental cleaning every two years or so. Penny is now spayed, had a dental cleaning and is microchipped. She tested negative for heartworm and has been started on monthly heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee is $350. If you are interested in adopting Penny, please visit our website www.lharinc.org go to Adopt and complete the dog adoption application. Story
Meet Ginger. Ginger came to us after her owner passed away. She was in a home with many other dogs, cats and even pot belly pigs. Ginger is scared of new people at first, but she does like to cuddle once she gets to know you. She does seem to like men faster then women and will cuddle with them first. Ginger does like to be with other small dogs so a home with another small friendly dog is going to be a must for her. She is not a fan of the leash at all, but we keep trying. She will do best going out to potty in a home with a securely fenced in yard so does need the fenced in yard. We don't know exactly what she is mixed with, her hair does seem like Yorkie and she is an adult, we think at least 5 years old. She weighs about 9 lbs. Ginger came to us spayed, but she was in desperate need of a dental cleaning so she just had that done and her vaccines are now all up to date. She is microchipped and tested negative for heartworm and was started on monthly heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee is $200.00. Because she does get scared easily we are not recommending a home with children for Ginger. Scroll down to see more pictures of this dog. Coco Chanel is available for adoption. She is 4 years old and weighs 9.7 lbs. Her adoption fee is $700.00. My name is Coco Chanel. I came into the care of SAYR on Saturday November 8th from a caring family in NY that could know longer look after me. I am now staying with Lori & Mitch in NJ. Even though I have a lot of energy, being only 4 years and 7 months, I was on my best behavior in the car going to NJ. I was a little nervous the first day but I quickly got very comfortable. I'm still learning the ropes on a few things. I heard that I will be going for a check up at the Vet this coming Tuesday and I plan on greeting the doctor with a lot of barking - sometimes I just cannot help myself when I see someone, except for Mitch. I like to shadow him. I'll let you know how the doctors visit goes. Oh, and one other thing, I think someone bought me a gift. I'm not sure but it could be a winter coat with a CC symbol on it. See you all next time. Coco (CC)Coco Chanel is staying with Mitch and Lori in Princeton Junction, NJ.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 28, 2025, 2:00 am

Her training is paying off—she’s listening beautifully and soaking up every bit of love and praise that comes her way. This weekend she went on a little adventure to Yorkie Days, where she made new friends and wowed the crowd with her circus-dog antics. This girl can leap like a gazelle—we swear she can clear four feet in the air without breaking a sweat! At 20.4 pounds, DeeVine is the happiest, most curious soul you’ll ever meet. She loves everyone and everything, greets every day with a tail wag, and would make the best best friend anyone could ask for. When she’s not showing off her jumps, she’s busy hunting for her toys or playing a competitive round of tug-of-war. She’s also an angel on the grooming table—sweet, patient, and perfectly behaved. DeeVine’s joy is contagious, her heart is huge, and her spirit is pure sunshine. Whoever gets to call this girl their own is one lucky human.  Deevine is staying with Meghan in Ulysses, PA. Story
My sweet Linnie 💗 Linnie is a 10 year old Maltese little lady who was time stamped at ACCT Philly. Her owners surrendered her to the shelter because it was obvious by her breath that she needed a dental and they said they could not afford it. The team at Zoe’s House, with the help of our wonderful community, got her free of the euthanasia list and into a loving foster home. She was determined to have a serious heart murmur but with medication, she was cleared to undergo surgery to be spayed and to have a dental where the diseased teeth were removed. It was also determined that Linnie has some mammary masses, likely from not being spayed early in her life, which are likely cancerous. Her heart and age caution against the prolonged surgery to remove these masses. Linnie is on a daily heart medication and gabapentin for any discomfort. Linnie is unbothered. She is a lady who knows what she likes and what she wants. She enjoys her meals, long naps thereafter and loving in between. She travels fabulously in the car and walks well on a leash. She loves a pup cup 😋She is house trained and cares not for the crate. She doesn’t need it. She is a true lady who is just hoping to enjoy her golden years close by her human. She is being fostered with other small dogs and tolerates respectful interaction but she would love to be the center of your eye and heart. She is a joy❤️ Linnie is being fostered in Collegeville, Montgomery County. A home visit and meet and greet with all residents is part of the application process. She is up to date with vaccines and preventatives. She is microchipped. If you have room in your home and heart for this little lady, apply here >>> zoeshouserescue.com Zoe’s House Rescue Kennel license 9117 Reading, PA 19607
