Story
Meet Posie. Posie came to us from a commercial breeding kennel. She is about 4 and half years old and she weighs 5 lbs. Posie is very people and other dog friendly. She is in a foster home with other small dogs and a fenced in yard. She does go potty outside but housebreaking is going to be a work in progress for her since she lived in a crate all of her life until she came to us. Posie is now spayed, had a dental cleaning and is up to date with vaccines and microchipped. She tested negative for heartworm and has been started on monthly heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee is $450.00. If you are interested in adopting Posie, please visit our website www.lharinc.org go to Adopt and complete the dog adoption application. Story
Meet Lily. Lily came to us as a retired breeder dog from a commercial kennel. She is a Yorkie and weighs about 6 lbs. Lily turns 4 years old in July 2025. She is more on the shy side but she is learning how to be loved in her foster home. Lily will do best in a home with a securely fenced yard and another small dog to help her learn how great living in a home can be. Lily gets along well with the other small dogs in her foster home. She is now spayed and had a dental cleaning. Sadly her teeth were so bad that all but one had to be removed so she will have to stay on soft food. Lily is up to date with vaccines and microchipped. She is working on housebreaking and crate training in her foster home but her adopter will need to continue to work on it. Her adoption fee is $450.00. If you are interested in adopting Lily, please visit our website www.lharinc.org go to Adopt and complete the dog adoption application. Story
Meet Ginger. Ginger came to us after her owner passed away. She was in a home with many other dogs, cats and even pot belly pigs. Ginger is scared of new people at first, but she does like to cuddle once she gets to know you. She does seem to like men faster then women and will cuddle with them first. Ginger does like to be with other small dogs so a home with another small friendly dog is going to be a must for her. She is not a fan of the leash at all, but we keep trying. She will do best going out to potty in a home with a securely fenced in yard so does need the fenced in yard. We don't know exactly what she is mixed with, her hair does seem like Yorkie and she is an adult, we think at least 5 years old. She weighs about 9 lbs. Ginger came to us spayed, but she was in desperate need of a dental cleaning so she just had that done and her vaccines are now all up to date. She is microchipped and tested negative for heartworm and was started on monthly heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee is $200.00. Because she does get scared easily we are not recommending a home with children for Ginger. Story
hi Rose, this pretty lady is a 6-year-old, 11 lbs. Yorkie. She was surrendered to our care from commercial breeder when she was no longer needed. Rose is a sweet and quiet girl that has been nothing short of perfect with us. She is a gentle soul that likes to curl up with our volunteers and watch the days go by. She is looking for a loving home that will spoil her silly. She would need to meet any resident dogs. She will come spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and 4dx tested. She is also scheduled for a dental evaluation and will receive it as the vet deems is necessary. If you are serious about adoption, please fill out an adoption application on our website www.phoenixanimalrescue.com Her adoption fee is $475. Story
My sweet Linnie 💗 Linnie is a 10 year old Maltese little lady who was time stamped at ACCT Philly. Her owners surrendered her to the shelter because it was obvious by her breath that she needed a dental and they said they could not afford it. The team at Zoe’s House, with the help of our wonderful community, got her free of the euthanasia list and into a loving foster home. She was determined to have a serious heart murmur but with medication, she was cleared to undergo surgery to be spayed and to have a dental where the diseased teeth were removed. It was also determined that Linnie has some mammary masses, likely from not being spayed early in her life, which are likely cancerous. Her heart and age caution against the prolonged surgery to remove these masses. Linnie is on a daily heart medication and gabapentin for any discomfort. Linnie is unbothered. She is a lady who knows what she likes and what she wants. She enjoys her meals, long naps thereafter and loving in between. She travels fabulously in the car and walks well on a leash. She loves a pup cup 😋She is house trained and cares not for the crate. She doesn’t need it. She is a true lady who is just hoping to enjoy her golden years close by her human. She is being fostered with other small dogs and tolerates respectful interaction but she would love to be the center of your eye and heart. She is a joy❤️ Linnie is being fostered in Collegeville, Montgomery County. A home visit and meet and greet with all residents is part of the application process. She is up to date with vaccines and preventatives. She is microchipped. If you have room in your home and heart for this little lady, apply here >>> zoeshouserescue.com Zoe’s House Rescue Kennel license 9117 Reading, PA 19607
