hi Rose, this pretty lady is a 6-year-old, 11 lbs. Yorkie. She was surrendered to our care from commercial breeder when she was no longer needed. Rose is a sweet and quiet girl that has been nothing short of perfect with us. She is a gentle soul that likes to curl up with our volunteers and watch the days go by. She is looking for a loving home that will spoil her silly. She would need to meet any resident dogs. She will come spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and 4dx tested. She is also scheduled for a dental evaluation and will receive it as the vet deems is necessary. Story
Midge is an 8-month-old Yorkiepoo who weighs just under 10 pounds. Like her sister, she was surrendered by a commercial breeder in Lancaster after not being sold. Midge is a gentle, shy pup who needs a calm and caring environment to help her feel safe. With time and kindness, her sweet nature and playful spirit will come out, and she’ll become a joyful member of your family. Midge is looking for her own home, separate from her sister, but she would love to have another social and friendly dog to keep her company and show her the ropes. If you can offer patience and love, Midge will thrive and bring happiness to your home. She will come spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and 4dx tested. She would need to meet any resident dogs. If you are serious about adoption, please fill out the adoption application on our website www.phoenixanimalrescue.com Her adoption fee is $550. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is primarily a sanctuary for senior and medically needy dogs.  Every once in awhile you will see younger dogs but for the most part our dogs live out their life at the ranch at the request of their previous owners or their owners families.  We have many sponsorship dogs.  Our sponsors love to keep in touch and know how their sponsored fur buddy is doing :) When we have foster families we are thrilled to be able to take adoptable younger dogs :)  So if you have ever thought about becoming fosters please feel free to go to our foster/volunteer page and fill out an application. The Ranch located at 737 Taylor Rd., Windsor, PA is always looking for dedicated volunteers that will commit to at least a 2 hour shift per week at the rescue.  Volunteers work in play yards, help with laundry and feeding.  Some enjoy landscaping or carpentry projects and some like to bake for the healing center visitors :) Thank you for supporting our mission of caring for the elderly and medically needy souls that need us! Well can I just say I LOVE the ranch!!  My last house had 148 dogs and it was REALLY nasty!!!  The authorities finally came and got us all!!  Here at the ranch I get spa days and the food is real good and we have a huge field to play in!!  My best friend is Layla.  She is really scared so I stay close to her so she feels safe and hopefully at some point she will start to trust humans again.  The volunteers are really nice.  They hold us and talk to us and its VERY different from what we were used to!  Mom says she is going to attach some pics of where we lived but I am happy to forget all about that and enjoy life. REQUIREMENTS to adopt GiGi MUST HAVE ANOTHER SMALL DOG MUST HAVE A FENCED YARDVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please fill out an adoption application: Adoption application (Dog) Adoption Application (Cat)   Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5. We do not adopt dogs to renters. Some dogs will have fence requirements while others may not. A pet is a lifetime commitment. The dogs and cats in our system find themselves there, for the most part, because their humans did not have the same loyalty to them as they did to their owners. We do not take the adoption process lightly, and will do everything in our power to make sure the animal is placed correctly the first time around for your sake and theirs. Thank you for choosing to adopt not shop!
