Story
Meet Zeke! He is a 5-year-old, 13lbs Yorkie Bichon mix. Zeke is the happiest little guy, wanting nothing more than attention, a soft bed and his ball. When he wants you to throw his ball, he will bring it up to you, drop it at your feet, and nudge it towards you with his nose. Zeke is a sweetheart. Home visit and adoption donation required. Zeke has a moderate to high energy level, so he will need exercise and enrichment every day, multiple times a day. He would do great as an only pup, or with another small friendly dog. He has the body structure of a Bichon with a Yorkie coat, so he will require lifelong grooming. Zeke would be happiest being allowed on furniture. He loves to watch out the window from the back of the couch or chair. Zeke is potty trained and working on basic obedience, but he is already a very good boy. Continued training and bolstering his confidence would be best. If you are able to meet Zeke’s needs, this adorable lovebug is for you!"

Story
Meet Sam Rushmore Sam Rushmore is an approximately 4‑year‑old, 11‑pound Yorkie who is looking for a fresh start and a place to finally call home. He was found as a stray and brought to ACCT Philly, and when no owner could be located, he was transferred into our care. Since joining us, Sam has been an easy, pleasant little guy. He’s friendly with volunteers, gentle to handle, and hasn’t given us any trouble at all. While he’s a bit on the quiet side at first, he settles in nicely and seems to enjoy calm companionship. Sam does well in playgroups with other dogs his size and is a regular in our play sessions. He’s not demanding or overly busy - just a sweet, low‑key pup who seems happy to be included and cared for. Sam Rushmore would likely do best in a loving home that appreciates a quieter dog who still enjoys social time and routine. If you’re looking for a small companion who is easygoing, polite, and ready to bond at his own pace, Sam may be the perfect match. He would need dog meets with any resident dogs. He will come neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and 4dx tested. He also had a dental. Story
KENNEL ID #18804Meet Mya — affectionately known as “My-My.” Mya is a sweet and loving 8-year-old Yorkie/Shih-Tzu/Maltese mix with the gentlest soul. She absolutely adores everyone she meets — kids, men, women, cats, and other dogs. Her favorite thing in the world is simply being close to her people. Sadly, Mya’s owner was recently widowed and then suffered a broken ankle, making it impossible to properly care for her. Mya came to us needing quite a bit of medical care and TLC. At 24 lbs., she is significantly overweight for her size and had spent several weeks in a boarding facility before entering rescue. She was also suffering from severe yeast infections in both her ears and paws, which are still being treated. Despite everything she has been through, Mya remains incredibly sweet, affectionate, and trusting. Mya is currently on a special allergy diet and takes daily Apoquel for her skin allergies. Once she reaches a healthier weight and is medically stable, she will also need a sebaceous cyst removed from between her eyes. She still has a long road ahead before she will be ready for adoption, but we are committed to giving her the healthy and happy life she deserves. Donations toward Mya’s veterinary care, medications, and special diet are greatly appreciated. https://www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=4FAWLT4Q58KDN  Thank you for your interest in rescue.
