Story
Well, hello there, I'm Teddy! I'm a 10-year-old Yorkie and I'm a whopping 11 lbs. While I might technically be considered a senior, you'd never guess it when you meet me because I have lots of energy and love to play with stuffies! I'm a friendly and outgoing guy. I was brought to the shelter after my mommy could no longer care for me (she became sick). While I am good in the crate, I am also a trustworthy boy and can be left to roam free in the home while my owner is away for short periods. You see, I'm also potty-trained. I lived with another small dog, but I'm not so keen about big dogs. I bark at them to try to scare them away. I've never been around kitties but can be cat-tested upon request. I have spent time around children and would be fine in a home with kids. I just had a dental so my teeth are fresh and clean. I'm ready to bust out of here and get into my new home. If I seem like the guy for you, apply at lvpeaceablekingdom.info today! Peaceable Kingdom, PA Kennel License #04131, 1049 MacArthur Rd., Whitehall, PA 18052

He is 11 weeks old and weighs 2 lbs. His adoption fee is $900.00. Biscotti is new to rescue and we are still learning more about him.  He is just a wee pup just 11 weeks old and weighs in at 2 pounds.  He mostly just eats and sleeps as young pups do.  Biscotti was born with a missing left hind leg but that doesn't stop him.  He does not know that he is supposed to have 4 legs.  He gets around just fine.  He is a good eater and sleeps soundly. He is playful, has discovered his voice and is vocal when he wants something.  He is working on his potty manners and doing very well.  He is completely adorable.  A great little puppy.   Biscotti will require a fenced yard and training classes when available for adoption.  It would be beneficial to be in a home with another young dog to learn from and play with.   Biscotti is staying with Kristin in Rensselaer, NY.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 26, 2024, 11:22 pm

Scroll down to see more pictures of this dog. Harper is available for adoption. He is 1 year old and weighs 8 lbs. His adoption fee is $900.00. At one year old, Harper still has a lot of puppy in him. He loves his toys—throw one and he will pounce on it and then happily play keep-away with you (and he will win). He’s a healthy pup—he weighs about 8 pounds, was neutered early, and is up-to-date on all his shots. His original family gave him lots of love and care, but unexpected near-tragic events compelled his family to turn to a series of temporary caretakers and then finally decide to surrender him to the rescue. So, Harper would dearly love to find a forever home where he can get the consistent loving care he deserves, the exercise he needs, and the play he enjoys. He thoroughly enjoys taking many walks a day. He will need training to help him behave better when he meets other dogs, as his current response is to bark at them and their owners. Although he is wary of unfamiliar dogs and people, he warmed immediately to his current foster-parents, and within a couple hours he settled into playing rough-and-tumble with their dogs.  Harper is staying with Tricia in Charlottsville, VA.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 26, 2024, 11:22 pm

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact Allyson (gardeners4@verizon.net), (631) 398-1443 for more information about this pet. Scroll down to see more pictures of this dog.         Miki is available for adoption. He is 8 years old and weighs 7 lbs. His adoption fee is $750.00. Miki is an 8 year old happy, healthy, and very handsome Biewer Terrier. He’s only been with us for a few days but he has easily transitioned from a home where he was well taken care of, to the new routines of our household. He is a total love bug who is eager to snuggle on anyone’s lap as soon as they sit down.  When he gazes at you with those deep brown eyes it melts your heart.  Despite having no teeth, he eats well and loves treats. He enjoys his walks, gets along well with other dogs, and thinks every human he comes in contact with is his new best friend.  He sleeps well, sharing the bed with us and his two foster brothers.  Potty-training is a work in progress, so for now he wears bellybands in the house. This easy going little guy will bring immediate joy to one lucky household where if you sit, he’s going to fit! Miki is staying with Allyson in Nutley, NJ. How do you pronounce that name?  Germans, where the breed was developed in the 1980’s, say “Bivah”. The emcee at Westminster pronounced it “Beaver.”  However you want to pronounce it, the Biewer Terrier is a lovely, elegant, and playful little dog, a direct descendant of the Yorkshire Terrier. The beautiful Biewer’s only purpose is to love and be loved. Biewers share many of the same characteristics as Yorkies, including their long, silky coat, loving disposition, and intelligent personality as well as their health issues. Biewers are still rare beautiful jewels and very expensive because there are so few of them in the US and it has only recently been recognized by the AKC in 2021.  Many more are being imported from Russia and Ukraine. The Biewer’s claim to fame is their very sweet temperament that make them great companions for families. They are lighthearted, and have been described as having a childlike attitude because of their habit of carrying toys in their mouths. If you are looking for a small, friendly, and intelligent dog, the Biewer may be the perfect breed for you. Do understand that their long coats need to be brushed daily as well as their teeth. Their coat can be kept in a shorter style, a ‘puppy cut’ to make it easier to maintain. They are athletic and love going for walks or even playing games inside will keep them in shape.   There is much more information on the Biewer’s care on the Biewer Terrier Club of America’s webpage.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 26, 2024, 11:22 pm
