Story
Introducing Zach! 💛 Zach is a 9-year-old Yorkie with the sweetest little soul and a face that could melt anyone on sight. This handsome guy lives for snuggles — if you pick him up, he’ll happily stay in your arms as long as you’ll let him. He currently weighs around 10lbs and would benefit from losing 3–4lbs to get to his healthiest self. He’s a little chunky, but that just adds to his teddy-bear charm right now. 🧸 Zach is funny, playful, and has the cutest personality — he’ll even give a tiny bark to politely let you know he’d like to be held. He’s friendly with kids, cats, and other dogs, making him a great fit for just about any loving home. He is potty-pad trained, knows to go outside, neutered, UTD on vaccinations, and ready for his forever family. If you’re looking for a gentle senior sweetheart who wants nothing more than to be your little shadow, Zach is your boy. 🐾💙 RPACI is a non profit rescue, and currently possess our 501C3 to operate as such. Please visit us on Facebook: Rebecca's Paws and Claws in Remlap and our website: www.rpacirescue.org. Story
Meet Lily. Lily came to us as a retired breeder dog from a commercial kennel. She is a Yorkie and weighs about 6 lbs. Lily turns 4 years old in July 2025. She is more on the shy side but she is learning how to be loved in her foster home. Lily will do best in a home with a securely fenced yard and another small dog to help her learn how great living in a home can be. Lily gets along well with the other small dogs in her foster home. She is now spayed and had a dental cleaning. Sadly her teeth were so bad that all but one had to be removed so she will have to stay on soft food. Lily is up to date with vaccines and microchipped. She is working on housebreaking and crate training in her foster home but her adopter will need to continue to work on it. Her adoption fee is $450.00. If you are interested in adopting Lily, please visit our website www.lharinc.org go to Adopt and complete the dog adoption application. Story
Meet Penny. Penny came to us from a commercial breeding kennel. She is a Yorkie and weighs just under 5 lbs. Penny is about 3 and half years old. She is a very friendly little girl. Penny loves to snuggle and lay on dog beds. She likes to wear clothes because she is a little chilly right now until her hair grows in. Penny gets along very well with other dogs but would do well as an only dog if you can give her lots of love and attention. Housebreaking is a work in progress, she is just a tiny girl so she cannot go too long without going outside to go potty. She does like to go outside in a fenced in yard with her Foster's other dogs. Unfortunately, Penny hàd two seizures just 2 weeks apart.  She did go to our veterinarian for a work up and we made sure she did not have any seizures for several weeks before we posted her again for adoption. She is not on any medication for seizures since she has not had any more. Her bloodwork did not show any reason for the seizures. She is no longer using oral flea and tick products to be on the safe side but has used Revolution without any issues. Penny is a Yorkie so she may need a  dental cleaning every two years or so. Penny is now spayed, had a dental cleaning and is microchipped. She tested negative for heartworm and has been started on monthly heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee is $350. If you are interested in adopting Penny, please visit our website www.lharinc.org go to Adopt and complete the dog adoption application. Story
Meet Ginger. Ginger came to us after her owner passed away. She was in a home with many other dogs, cats and even pot belly pigs. Ginger is scared of new people at first, but she does like to cuddle once she gets to know you. She does seem to like men faster then women and will cuddle with them first. Ginger does like to be with other small dogs so a home with another small friendly dog is going to be a must for her. She is not a fan of the leash at all, but we keep trying. She will do best going out to potty in a home with a securely fenced in yard so does need the fenced in yard. We don't know exactly what she is mixed with, her hair does seem like Yorkie and she is an adult, we think at least 5 years old. She weighs about 9 lbs. Ginger came to us spayed, but she was in desperate need of a dental cleaning so she just had that done and her vaccines are now all up to date. She is microchipped and tested negative for heartworm and was started on monthly heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee is $200.00. Because she does get scared easily we are not recommending a home with children for Ginger. If you are interested in adopting Ginger,  please visit our website www.lharinc.org go to Adopt and complete the dog adoption application. Story
Meet Shania, our beautiful little comeback girl — and just like her country music namesake, she’s ready for a brand-new chapter filled with love, understanding, and the right environment to truly shine. Shania is a sweet JRT/Westie mix girl who is happy, lively and just 1-year, weighing just 12 pounds. Her look is a charming wiry coat paired with an absolutely darling personality. She enjoys leash walks, watching the world go by, and will happily investigate any squirrel bold enough to cross her path. She’s wonderful with other dogs, cats, and is friendly with men she meets out in public. Inside the home, however, Shania needs a very specific setup to feel safe and secure. Due to something in her past, she becomes protective if a man lives in the home and believes she must guard the woman she loves. Because of this, Shania needs a female-only household with no men living in the home. In the right environment, she relaxes, settles beautifully, and shows just how loving and joyful she truly is. She is currently working on potty training and does well using potty pads, and with continued consistency, she will keep improving. Shania is small, affectionate, and full of potential — she simply needs the right person who understands her and is willing to give her the peaceful, predictable home she deserves.  If you think you could be the perfect match for this special girl, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com. PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comDecember 29, 2025, 12:41 am

Story
Meet Elijah, a tiny teacup Yorkie with a soul far bigger than his 4-pound frame. Born on October 19, 2021, this silky-soft little boy is the definition of delicate sweetness. Elijah has spent much of his young life quietly waiting—waiting for lap time, gentle words, and the kind of love that makes a dog feel truly seen.   Though once deeply cherished, life circumstances changed for his owner, and long days crated with little attention became Elijah’s reality. With love in their heart, his owner made the selfless decision to release him to Critter Cavalry, so Elijah could finally find the attentive, devoted home he deserves.   Elijah is shy, tender, and incredibly gentle—a sweet little shadow who blossoms with kindness. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs, is pee-pad trained, and would do beautifully in a home where someone can continue his training with a consistent outdoor schedule. What Elijah wants most is simple: love, routine, and a warm lap to call his own.   As he hopes to start the new year off on the right paw, Elijah is dreaming of a forever home where he’ll never feel overlooked again. Could that be you—the person who gives him the affection, security, and quiet companionship he’s been waiting for?   Elijah is currently in Nashville, TN. Transport is available on January 9th to the northeastern states. Please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comDecember 31, 2025, 5:49 pm

Story
Introducing Jasper! 🐾😍 Jasper is a charming 5-year-old, 9-lb Maltese mix with the softest scruffy coat and the sweetest soul. This little guy is incredibly affectionate and loves nothing more than snuggling up with his people. He’s also a fan of car rides and adventures, making him a great companion for both cozy days and outings alike. Jasper can be a bit shy when he first meets new people, but once he warms up, his loving personality truly shines. He does well with cats and other dogs and would thrive in a home with another canine companion to help him feel confident and comfortable. Jasper would do best in a home with older children. He is crate trained, housebroken, neutered, and fully vaccinated — all ready to settle into his forever home. If you’re looking for a gentle, affectionate little buddy with a big heart, Jasper may be your perfect match. 💙🐶 RPACI is a non profit rescue, and currently possess our 501C3 to operate as such.
