Meet Twinkle -Twinkle came to us after being used for a lifetime of breeding. She is a Yorkie and weighs about 10 lbs. Her date of birth is 8/29/2018 so she will just be turning 8 years old. Despite being a breeder dog, Twinkle is very friendly and snuggly. She is in a foster home with other small dogs and she will need to go to another home with a dog who is ok with her being the boss. Twinkle does like to go out to a fenced in yard and walk around, but will come right back to you when you call her. She will go to the door when she has to go outside but she does still have some accidents. Our veterinarian did find that she has crystals in her urine so she is currently on a supplement to help dissolve the crystals. Since we are pretty sure she has never been treated for this before, we are starting with supplements and antibiotics first. She may need to go on a urinary diet in the future. Otherwise she is in good health. Twinkle is now spayed, just had a dental cleaning and small mammary tumor/cyst removed as well. She is up to date with vaccines and microchipped. > If I had to pick one word to describe Booker, it would be resilient. At just 8 years old and 11 pounds, he’s a Yorkie/Poodle mix who was found on the side of the road in a quiet ruraL of Middle Tennessee. He was rescued on one of the hottest days of summer, and when he was found his fur was so horribly matted, that he had to be shaved down to the skin by the vet tech who is NOT a groomer. She did the best she could do. Now he is starting fresh and slowly he is growing out and his fur is now a beautiful white. From the moment he arrived, Booker won over the whole foster family. He loves to be close to his people and is incredibly affectionate. He gets excited about everything! His love for life and his courage is just incredible to watch. This boy loves everyone and every creature he meets. He is also very good with dogs of all sizes and is great with kids, too. > Walking on a leash is still a work in progress, but he has come a long way. With some more time and practice, he will be a great dog to take on walks. He also enjoys playing in the backyard, chasing butterflies just like Dolly Parton. Booker is crate-trained or will happily sleep beside you in the bed all night. He can spend all day resting next to you without any complaints or making any sound. He is truly one of the easiest fur babies ever! I was found as a stray in Harrisburg, PA but luckily SAY Rescue pulled me out of the shelter and brought me to my new foster family in Livingston, NJ! I am just over 11 lbs and estimated to be around 2 years old. I may look scruffy and tough, but I love giving kisses and being near my people. I especially love to follow my foster mommy around the house and see what she's doing. I wouldn't want to miss out on anything exciting! But most of the time she is working at her desk so I just sit and wait patiently curled up at her feet because I'm a really good boy. I know this because my foster mommy is telling everyone how I sleep all night in my crate and how I am a dream to walk. I don't know why she's so surprised. I'm a gentleman and I would never pull on my leash. I like to take my time and observe my surroundings. I may be a little shy and hesitant at times. After living on the street, can you blame me? But my foster mommy says I'm getting more confident and playful every day. I love to roll in the grass on my back. Sometimes you just gotta scratch that itch! It's not the best for going potty though. You need a bush, tree, or post for that. How else will all the other dogs know that I was there? When I first arrived I did try to make my presence known on the leg of the dining table but my foster mommy caught me in the act and didn't seem too happy so I've been on my best behavior since then. I've been such a good boy that foster mommy and daddy let me walk around the house wherever I want and even bring me onto the bed for evening cuddles before tucking me into my crate. I am also happy to report that my training has been going very well. I've successfully trained my foster daddy to carry me up the stairs and my foster mommy to hand-feed me pieces of lean chicken. Foster mommy keeps showing me these weird toys but I don't know what she expects me to do with them. I just want to lay my head in her lap. And belly scratches. I like belly scratches. And ear scratches. I've been good with my foster brother but I have to admit that I do enjoy having all the attention to myself sometimes. She is 7 months old and weighs 3 lbs. Her adoption fee is 1,200.00. Gia came into rescue at just 16 weeks old and in need of hernia repair and spaying and all her vaccines. Now she is currently up to date and has had her hernia repaired and spayed. She is slowly adjusting to humans as Gia was left alone with only her siblings and mama dog for 12 to 14 hours a day. She is working on her house training and basic commands. She is frightened by most new experiences but is again slowly coming around to trust her foster parents that she will be safe. Gia is not a cuddly bug and enjoys the company of other dogs. She will need a home with a fenced yard and other young dogs to show her the ropes and learn from. Currently Gia is still pending a significant medical issue that will require surgery. Gia was born with a luxated patella when she is fully grown which should be in September. In the meantime, she continues to work on becoming more socialize with humans.
