Story
PLEASE READ BELOW FOR OUR ADOPTION APPLICATION LINK MEET NORBERT the Yorkie North New Jersey Norbert is a 7lb, 10+ yo 100% Yorkie gentleman. Norbert is the sweetest little guy. He LOVES to snuggle his person and would love to find someone to hang out with all day. He is very friendly and easy to care for—uses potty pads or will go outside in the yard or for a short walk, sleeps a lot and is quiet until it’s time to eat then he reminds you with a little chirp. He is happy to do his own thing (sleeping in a doggie bed) if you are busy or out of the house. But ideally he would love to have someone around most of the day to enjoy retirement with. Norbert is UTD, HW negative, was neutered and had a dental with 17 extractions, full blood work and xrays. He is a VERY good eater and a tiny little thing at only 7 lbs. He was very good for our vet and for grooming. Norbert has so much love to give and is ready to find his person. If you are interested in a snuggle buddy please fill out an application on our website, details are below. Please note we do not reply to all applications we receive, unfortunately we do not have the bandwidth to do so at this time. We only reply if we would like to move forward with your application. Thank you very much in advance for your understanding!! His adoption donation is $450. TO BE CONSIDERED, PLEASE FILL OUT OUR ADOPTION APPLICATION We only process complete applications and providing false information immediately disqualifies you from adopting. https://gingerbreaddogs.org/adopt-overview/adoption-application/ Please follow our Facebook page to see new dogs as they arrive and to keep up on the daily shenanigans: https://www.facebook.com/gingerbreaddogs ABOUT OUR PROCESS: WE ONLY CONTACT APPLICANTS WITH WHOM WE WANT TO MOVE FORWARD. We typically get in touch within 24-48 hours, but it may take up to 10 days. Please watch your email and answer your phone (from 201 area code) after you submit an application. Unfortunately, we do not have the manpower to reply to all applicants. We also do not have the manpower to accept phone calls. Everything we know about the dog is posted above. Our adoption process is on our website. You can see more about our daily operations on our Facebook page. PLEASE call your vet office right now and give them permission to speak with rescues if you are applying to adopt from any rescue. Ask them to mark your file. If they will not speak with us, we will move on to the next application and you will not be considered. We consider out-of-area adoptions on a case-by-case basis. All meet & greets and adoptions are held in north New Jersey, and we do not transport our pups. You must come to NJ. We also do not “hold” dogs. It is “first qualified, first come” and our expectation is you will move quickly to conduct the meet & greet if you are approved. An approved application does not guarantee adoption of any dog from our rescue, and we reserve the right to deny adoption at any point during the process.

I came into the care of SAYR on Saturday November 8th from a caring family in NY that could know longer look after me. I am now staying with Lori & Mitch in NJ. Even though I have a lot of energy, being only 4 years and 7 months, I was on my best behavior in the car going to NJ. I was a little nervous the first day but I quickly got very comfortable. I'm still learning the ropes on a few things. I heard that I will be going for a check up at the Vet this coming Tuesday and I plan on greeting the doctor with a lot of barking - sometimes I just cannot help myself when I see someone, except for Mitch. I like to shadow him. I'll let you know how the doctors visit goes. Oh, and one other thing, I think someone bought me a gift. I'm not sure but it could be a winter coat with a CC symbol on it. See you all next time. Her training is paying off—she’s listening beautifully and soaking up every bit of love and praise that comes her way. This weekend she went on a little adventure to Yorkie Days, where she made new friends and wowed the crowd with her circus-dog antics. This girl can leap like a gazelle—we swear she can clear four feet in the air without breaking a sweat! At 20.4 pounds, DeeVine is the happiest, most curious soul you’ll ever meet. She loves everyone and everything, greets every day with a tail wag, and would make the best best friend anyone could ask for. When she’s not showing off her jumps, she’s busy hunting for her toys or playing a competitive round of tug-of-war. She’s also an angel on the grooming table—sweet, patient, and perfectly behaved. DeeVine’s joy is contagious, her heart is huge, and her spirit is pure sunshine. Whoever gets to call this girl their own is one lucky human.  Deevine is staying with Meghan in Ulysses, PA. Bear was released with many medications and prescription food.  He will have another vet visit the end of this month which will determine his prognosis. He has big brown eyes that sparkle now that he is feeling better.
