Story
Charlie is a sweet Akbash/Pyr mix, who is protective of his person, and has the typical Pyr attitude. He is fully vetted, heartworm negative and microchipped. He is approximately 3-4 years old and weighs 102 pounds. Charlie does well with the smaller dogs in the current foster home, though would probably do best as an only dog. Charley very much enjoys "working"...having something to do. Though we do not allow him to be an outdoor dog, he very much enjoys his time in the yard/sun. He loves going for walks, but is often scared of other unknown big dogs. Charlie is great with the cats in the current foster home, and absolutely LOVES men!!! Story
We had Anakin on the farm with 2 of our original dogs that we planned to breed together! Anakin was always the fastest runner, best climber, and first to jump up on you and give you kisses on the face. As we moved temporarily from the farm it’s been very hard for us to manage his very high energetic behavior being in the city.He does great with humans and typically well with other dogs although he does have a high testosterone / aggression with certain males. Anakin needs a new home / owner to give him the space he needs right now and to help him calm his emotions and energy down effectively. It hurts to say we can’t do that for him right now I’m confident that through this process of care we can find someone to give Anakin his new life. He has some scars on his face from being on the farm and protecting the livestock that we owned, he’s very intelligent and would be a great working dog with some moderate training. Born to hardworking livestock guardian parents, they have inherited the intelligence, loyalty and gentle nature that make both breeds so beloved. While their parents take their jobs seriously, these puppies are looking for something just a tad different - a family of their own. They are being raised with plenty of love and socialization and are growing into confident, curious and affectionate youngsters.
