Story
Charlie is a sweet Akbash/Pyr mix, who is protective of his person, and has the typical Pyr attitude. He is fully vetted, heartworm negative and microchipped. He is approximately 3-4 years old and weighs 102 pounds. Charlie does well with the smaller dogs in the current foster home, though would probably do best as an only dog. Charley very much enjoys "working"...having something to do. Though we do not allow him to be an outdoor dog, he very much enjoys his time in the yard/sun. He loves going for walks, but is often scared of other unknown big dogs. Charlie is great with the cats in the current foster home, and absolutely LOVES men!!! If interested in Charlie, please fill out our foster or adoption application online: www.salvagedsoulspetrescue.org.

Story
This ADORABLE girl came in with an embedded collar but that did not slow her down. She is a smiley, goofy, happy, super affectionate little girl who is just sheer joy. She loves other dogs, could play all day, is fine with the cats, crate trained, house trained, and just a fun, sweetheart of a dog. She was malnourished when we got her, but she has caught up, is starting to sprout longer legs and more floof, and is a wonderful friend to her foster sibs. She may not have had a good person before, but she is definitely ready for one now!

Story
Casper was found by a kind finder who cared for him when he wandered into her yard including getting him neutered, vaccinated, and on heartworm prevention. This gentle boy has a long sloped neck like a polar bear, which is likely due in part to being part Akbash. Both of these breeds have mixed into the most loyal friend in Casper! Casper spent his early years living outdoors in the country but has recently moved into a high rise in downtown Austin and has acclimated well to indoor city life! He made fast friends with the resident cat and has enjoyed playtime with all the dogs he has met in the building and on his walks. He has developed great house manners and does so well on the leash, though like all Great Pyrenees he will want to stop and greet everyone and smell everything! Casper is a happy four year old pup who will love having a ball thrown for him and presenting his belly for a good rub! He really is the perfect dog and at 60 lbs, he's a great size for apartment and condo living. Don't wait long! He is ready for his happy ever after to come soon!

Story
This "little" puppy walked up to just the right business in an industrial park for help. After searching for a mom, other puppies, or the owner and having no luck, they called us! Sweet Pea is exactly that- she is as affectionate as you could possibly want, she is great with the other dogs, she is a long-legged, happy, absolute doll of a puppy. And she has the prettiest big eyes in the world! She poses like a supermodel, but she'll run with the big dogs and play with the best of them. This is a GREAT puppy.

Story
Meet Lillie, a curious cutie who's currently learning the ropes of life with the help of her wise mentor Pyr at home. She’s like a little sidekick in a Disney movie, minus the musical numbers (unless squeaky toys count). Lillie LOVES to explore, but she’s also mastered the fine art of indoor etiquette. Zero potty accidents inside, this girl knows how to keep it classy. At bedtime or chill time, Lillie is a crating pro, as long as her crate is covered and cozy like a cave. She calls it her “me time” zone. Mood lighting optional. *Chew toys? Absolutely (and loves to steal shoes). *Affectionate? Skilled at kissing your toes and cheeks? Lillie is sweet, silly, and ready to snuggle her way into your life (and possibly your shoe closet). Could she be your perfect match?

Story
Meet Princess Peach – Your Ride-or-Die Adventure BFF Looking for a loyal hiking buddy who also doubles as a professional snuggler? Peachy is your girl. She’s the perfect mix of outdoorsy and affectionate, with just a dash of “I’ll fight a bear for you” energy. Peachy would love to be your one and only—like, literally. While she can hang with other dogs and kinda-sorta gets cats, she secretly dreams of having her humans all to herself. Solo-pet life? Yes, please. She’s house-trained, kennel-trained, leash-trained, and trained in the ancient art of giving the best kisses. She’ll happily hit the trails with you, chill by the campfire, or binge-watch nature documentaries from the couch (while gently hogging the blanket). Bonus: Peachy is a total snow queen who also handles Texas heat like a champ. She’s built for all seasons, all snuggles, and all adventures. So if you’re a single gal, guy, or a cool couple ready for your four-legged soulmate apply at TGPR.org and give Peachy the forever home she deserves!

Story
Sweetest Gentle Giant You’ll Ever Meet! Marsha is a stunning Great Pyrenees with a heart as soft as her nickname, “Marshmello.” She’s a calm, affectionate girl who loves to lounge near her people, offering quiet companionship and the occasional nudge for belly rubs. True to her breed, Marsha has a natural guardian’s heart—she’s protective yet gentle, always wanting to make sure her family feels safe and loved. Marsha thrives anywhere she is loved. A home with a spacious yard would be nice but more than anything she loves to nap and doesn’t need much exercise.
