All of this relates to Ghost. Ghost is heat intolerant and not fond of walks. He likes to stay home and keep cool. They are high maintenance dogs which is why there are so many in the shelters & in rescue. They require facial fold cleaning, butt wiping, ear cleaning, and skin maintenance during the hot, allergy ridden summer months. Know what you are adopting.What we know: Ghost was neglected & not taken care of medically by his prior owner/breeder. He developed severe ear infections that were left untreated, and the end result was 'cauliflower ear.' Here is a link to read more about Cauliflower ear. It occurs due to an untreated ear infection, leading to a crinkled appearance. Specifically, it results from an ear hematoma, which is a buildup of fluid between the cartilage and skin. When left untreated, this hematoma can permanently alter the ear's shape, causing it to resemble a crinkled cauliflower. Although Ghost will always have deformed ear flaps, he is infection free, and his skin and paws are in great condition.Medical: currently he is completely healthy, vaccinated, neutered, microchipped.
