Although he is trained, Monte is a very excitable/energetic boy who will need lots of walks and play time. He is not aggressive with other dogs, but can become over-stimulated, so would be best as the only dog in the home and without young children. Monte is a big boy and has lots of personality. He is great with people and loves everyone he meets. You just have to watch out for his whole body wiggle and whip of a tail! There is never a dull moment when Monte is around. Now who is this adorable little meatball?? Meet ATHENA, she is a 3 year old bulldog and just as cute as can be. She is a petite girl with a big personality, and keeps us laughing all day long. She is a bull in a china shop with absolutely no spatial awareness. Athena was taken in by good samaritans after they witnessed her being thrown from a car. They got her all patched up, but weren’t in a position where they could keep her. Even though they had fallen in love with her immediately. We are hoping for a bulldog experienced home, who understands the amount of care that goes into a breed like this! As Athena does have some ongoing medical needs, she is on a medication and food regimen where she is stable. Athena does need to be the only pet in an adult only home.May 6, 2025, 5:28 pm

Lola is a beautiful dog, about 70 to 75 pounds. She’s mostly lazy but definitely needs more active play, she loves dog beach, and needs more activity in her life. I am a new mom of two small babies and was hoping that Lola would love the babies, and she does not so it’s an issue in our home. We just want her happy and with someone who can specifically bond with her and take her out every day and show her lots of love and affection that I haven’t been able to give her since the kids arrived. I just want her happy and that’s the main goal! I can ease into the integration for Lola to get used to it if that’s what needs to be done, I’m open to any ideas!

Sonny, an American Bulldog mix, was wandering down a busy street near a homeless encampment with no owner nearby. A woman driving by cared enough about Sonny to pull over and take the time to scoop him up. He was extremely dirty when he was found, and it’s very possible he had been living on the streets. This compassionate lady brought Sonny to AALOC for safekeeping until he finds his new forever home. Sonny is a lovable guy who enjoys attention and affection. A warm, sudsy bath uncovered his true handsomeness: Sonny is black and white with black button eyes and a black nose, accented with a bit of pink. He is a large dog, weighing in at about 70 pounds and is very strong. We feel Sonny would benefit from some basic training and needs an owner who could provide him with the exercise and discipline that would provide Sonny the best life. It breaks my heart to have to rehome her, but due to family issues we were forced to leave our house and move into an apartment. Unfortunately, I am unable to pay the additional rent and extra deposit for a pet at this time. Looking for a safe and loving home for her.
