Story
Daisy would be the best dog if only it wasn't for her aggression toward others and children. She's 5 yrs old and 65lbs. We got her as a puppy and spent thousands on a trainer. She also goes and stays with the trainer at least once a year. She's extremely smart and follows commands. House trained and crate trained. She's amazing with our two children 7 and 4. She's great with our other dog (pug). She's very anxious around other people especially kids and very aggressive. She's snapped at three children (family friends) and attacked both our cats on more than one occasion and my moms dog. I feel she would do well in a one dog home with no kids. We love her but we can't trust her and don't want to find out the hard way.

Story
Friends to the Forlorn Adopt-a-BullBreed: Pit Bull Terrier/American Bulldog Gender: Male Estimated Date of Birth: September 4, 2012 Size:  50lbs Location:  Dallas, GA RESCUING GWEEB On September 9th, 2012, we were notified of a bad situation. A man in Tucker, GA really needed our help as he rents a room in a house and had 16 Pit Bull/American Bulldog mixes. This included a new born litter that was just days old. All 16 of these dogs were living outside and none of them were fixed, vaccinated, or de-wormed. This man was overwhelmed and he was unable provide for the dogs so he gladly signed over 14 dogs and we vetted the 2 he wanted to keep. Gweeb was one of the pups from the litter that was only a few days old. Gweeb’s mother was a fantastic mom, but his litter surely would have died living outside in those conditions with her being so malnourished. ABOUT GWEEB The best word to describe The Gweeb is awkward. He was the runt of a litter of 7 puppies and is awkward in everything that he does. Gweeb lives in foster care with multiple other dogs and is fantastic with them as he is generally submissive. He is a real goofball and is sure to clown around and keep you laughing with his awkward antics. He is very emotionally attached, attentive, and loves to be with people. This guy is a serious cuddle-bug! He will chase a tennis ball through the yard, but hasn’t quite learned how to fetch yet. Sometimes his top lip will get stuck and his bottom canine tooth will peek out in the silliest ways. Gweeb is housebroken and crate trained.  Since Gweeb has been in his foster home for close to 10 years we have made him a permanent member of the FTTF Pack so he is no longer up for adoption.   Photo Album of Gweeb: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.523012947756876.1073741849.162554320469409&type=1&l=a6dc542985 More VIDEOS of Gweebie: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLYDnJXruR1h3EyXeE1eQfeZ_sLZ7hx8r0www.savingpitbulls.orgJune 2, 2023, 10:59 am

Story
Friends to the Forlorn Adopt-a-BullBreed: Great Dane/American Bulldog Gender: Male Estimated Date of Birth: April 15, 2012 Size:  85lbs Location:  Dallas, GA RESCUING STONE Stone was originally adopted from Douglas County Animal Control when he was a small pup. That family gave him to another family, who then gave him to a third family, and he ended up a Fulton County Animal Control. He was next in line to get put to sleep at the shelter and we were able to pull him on the day he was scheduled to be euthanized. ABOUT STONE Stone is a giant. Our best guess is that he’s a Great Dane/American Bulldog mix. He is a big, playful goof and he loves toys … although he has not quite learned to bring them back to you. Stone does not understand his size or strength. It is very clear that a lack of basic obedience and being dumped several times in his formative years has affected him immensely. Stone is not very trusting of new people. He takes time to warm up and can be rather intimidating due to his size and behavior. He is reactive when in public to people and other dogs. Once he trusts you, you are part of his inner circle and he will show you his true personality. His true personality shines … he is fun loving, sweet, and silly. Because his previous owners simply dumped him off onto the next family, he lacked all leadership and guidance in his formative years so he does not know what behavior is acceptable and what is not. Stone does jump up on people and could benefit from some serious obedience training. He is reactive on leash in public and will require a strong owner. Stone also has trust issues and insecurities with strangers due to his previous life experiences. He will require a 6 foot privacy fence and a strong, experienced owner that is willing to take the time to get to know him and work with him on obedience. Due to his size and behavioral concerns, we do not recommend Stone for a home with children. Story
Frida is a 3 year old Bulldog mix with the cutest face, smile, and little ears! This sweet lady has so much love to give to her next family! Frida can seem a little intimidating in her cage, but that is just because she is barking for attention! She wants you to come love on her but her bark sounds more scary than it is meant to! Frida loves belly rubs more than anything else! She also knows a few basic commands like sit and down (even though down often turns into a roll over for a belly rub)!  The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip. Carroll County Animal Shelter is located at 251 Automation Drive in Carrollton GA. Phone: 770-214-3590. The hours of operation are: Monday through Wednesday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Thursday 12:30 pm till 6:00 pm; Friday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Saturday 9:00 am till 4:00 pm. The Carroll County Animal Shelter will be closed the last Friday of every month for deep cleaning, staff training, and animal enrichment.  June 2, 2023, 9:41 pm

Story
Sarah is a 6 year old mostly 'toofless' Bulldog mix who has been through a LOT, but has come out of it all still full of love and joy she is more than willing to share. This sweet girl loves playing with blankets, cuddling, rolling her own car windows down, and meeting new human friends and their dogs! She 100% thinks she is a lap dog and a passenger princess! This little lady has come SO FAR since arriving at the shelter. This poor girl has been here since May, but when she came in she was an absolute mess. She was missing fur, had scars all over, her ribs were showing, and she was very terrified. Sarah came from a hoarding situation where her owner passed away. We are not sure what all Sarah's past included, but we hope her future is filled with love, patience, and a furever kind of happiness.Sarah has recently been treated for heart worms and will require limited activity for the next few weeks. Story
Georgia is a 3.5 year old Bulldog mix who is super sweet, energetic, and loving. She has the cutest little smile with her adorable little front teeth showing! Georgia is as precious as she is adorable! She has the cutest little black dot right on top of her head, like the crown for the Queen that she is! Georgia hasn't liked all of the dogs she has met, so we do suggest a meet-n-greet if you have other dogs in the home. Georgia does not like cats. Georgia would love to find a home where she can snuggle and eat lots of treats! The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip.
