A REAL JEWEL:  Approx. 10 years old / Approx. 52 lbs. Hello – I’m Minnie!  Mostly Mutts rescued me from animal control, and I am happy to be soaking up all the love and attention while in their care.  They are going to help me find a great home, where the love and care can continue for life.  I got to spend a few days in a temporary foster home during the recent cold weather and had a blast!  I’m back at the shelter now and ready to find a loving family, so come and meet me soon!  • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I met and liked dogs at Mostly Mutts, and I really liked the three dogs that were in my temp. foster home. I wasn’t interested in playing, but we all co-existed nicely together.  If you have a nice, calm dog at home who is not looking for a playmate, let’s meet! / I was initially curious about the cats in my temp. foster home, but after checking them out, I pretty much ignored them for the rest of my visit.  Just wanted to know what they were – lol.  All cats are different, so I’m not sure how I would be with another kitty. / I met two 8-year-olds and a teenager while in my temp foster home.  They were gentle and respectful, and I loved all the snuggles.  If you have kids like this, let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:   My lovely, soulful eyes match my sweet and gentle nature.  I’ve been super friendly with everyone I’ve met and don’t seem to meet a stranger.  I am ridiculously cute on top of all that!  My house manners were wonderful , and my temp. foster described me as ‘just a sweet snuggle bug and a very wonderful dog’.  There was no destructive chewing in my temp. foster home and – though I will get on the furniture if left to my own devices, I respond well when told to get down. Typical of my breed, I’m a snorer and a drooler, so if I’m allowed on the furniture in my new home, a cover may be in order.  I basically charm everyone I meet with my fabulous loving demeanor.  You’re next! / My energy level is 3-5. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I am a student in the Mostly Mutts University training program, where I will be learning lots of great commands with my trainer.  I walk well on my leash, and I’ll be tested on more soon. / In my temp. foster home, I didn’t like the crate if I was alone and I cried and scratched to get out, but my house manners were so good that I didn’t really need one.  If my people are in the same room as me, I am fine in the crate though with a little whining. / My potty habits were really good in my temp. foster home, and I would go sit by the door when I needed to go out.  I DO seem to prefer going potty in the yard rather than on my walks, so a fenced yard would be nice, but not required.  My potty manners are also good at Mostly Mutts. • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I’m a big fan of belly rubs and back scratches.  Hanging out with my people makes me a happy girl – because that is when I can collect all the petting and cuddles – my favorite thing!  I enjoy my walks, and – with my good leash manners – you will, too! / I can’t think of any dislikes, though I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed.  I’ll be getting a dental cleaning in Mid-February and Mostly Mutts will cover the cost of that with their vet, so local adoption only.  I take an over-the-counter Cosequin joint supplement which is good for all older dogs.  I came in with very itchy skin, so I started an allergy medication called Zenrelia, so just ask how that’s coming along.  I am looking for wonderful home where I will be a cherished family member!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  February 7, 2026, 7:41 am

Story
A SWEET & AFFECTIONATE GIRL: Approx. 7 years old / Approx. 51 lbs. Hello!  My name is Scarlet!  I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control and have been spending time in a great foster home.  Now, it’s time for me to meet a lucky family and spend my ‘happily ever after’ with them, so plan to come and meet me soon!    • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I get along very well with the two dogs in my foster home, so if you have a nice doggie at home already, let’s meet! / Cats unknown. / I love the two girls in my foster home, in fact, the 12-year-old and I are great buddies and do lots of things together.  There is also a 16-year-old that spends a good bit of time with me and I love her too.  So, if you have kids let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I am an affectionate girl with a sweet, calm and loving nature.  I’m always ready to be close and soak up every bit of affection you’re willing to give.  I can be a little timid of loud noises or sudden movements, but I recover quickly with a gentle voice or a reassuring touch. I tend to be more cautious around men than women, watching first before deciding it’s safe, but once I do, my sweetness shines through. At heart, I’m a tender, loving soul who just wants to feel safe, seen, and adored and I would really like a stay or work from home family member that I could spend my days with. / My energy level is 2-4. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I shown that I know the ‘sit’ and ‘come’ commands in my foster home and I also have good leash manners.  For a cheese treat, I will gladly extend my paw for a shake.  I bet you can teach me even more great commands. / My crate manners have been good in my foster home, and I’ve shown that I don’t really require one.  I don’t like being left alone in one, as I would rather be near my people. / I’ve only had two accidents in my foster home – one of the first day and the other when it was blustery cold outside.  With a good and consistent schedule, my potty habits should be good in my new home too.  • LIKES/DISLIKES:  Cuddling is my love language, and I’ll happily curl up at your side just to feel connected.  Getting attention is extremely important to me and I hope it is for my new family too.  And grass? Rolling in it is pure joy because honestly, life is better when you take time to roll around and enjoy it. Dog beds are my personal treasure - I like the soft ones best and believe every home should have at least one for me. / As mentioned, loud noises startle me , and my foster vouches for the fact that I am NOT a fan of pill pockets – ick.  I’m not the best on stairs, but I’m sure I can improve if needed.  Otherwise, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed.  I am taking medication to help with anxiety, though I have backed off from it in my foster home – only doing a morning dose when my foster has to work all day. Just ask about this. I am looking for a wonderful home with a loving family for life!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.February 11, 2026, 6:55 am

Story
A SWEET, PLAYFUL SENIOR FELLOW:  Approx. 9 years old / Approx. 46 lbs. Hi there, I’m Roy! I came to Mostly Mutts after finding myself at animal control - I don’t remember how I ended up there, but I’m so grateful to be safe and well cared for now. I’m a sweet, hopeful guy who’s excited about the future and dreaming of a loving home and family of my own. When I arrived, I had thin fur and some skin issues likely due to neglect, I also needed a dental cleaning, and I had infected ears and sore eyes. I needed bloodwork, which I was able to receive thanks to a generous grant from The Grey Muzzle Organization. I’m feeling and looking so much better now and ready for my next chapter!  I’m currently in the prison/foster training program off-site and learning a lot!  Please inquire at 770-272-6888 to find out when I’m available to meet.         • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts and was hesitant but interested in them, I even did a play bow, so I may be playing soon.  If you have a nice dog at home already, let’s meet! / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet and best no very young kids that I may bump over or that may pull on my ears as they are sensitive or hug me which I may see as restraint.   • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  The volunteers describe me as a friendly, super playful, and smart guy who’s sweet as can be and truly a very good boy. I’ve been a calm, loving senior with great manners who listens well and enjoys being close to the nice volunteers. I’m especially good for my medicated showers - I stay calm and sweet, even lifting my paws for massages and rinsing. A walk-in shower with a sprayer is just my style as I don’t want to get in a tub, and I enjoy the gentle massage that comes with it.  I can be a little head shy at first, but after a few days I learn I can trust you and then I’m happy to enjoy gentle head pets. / Energy Level: 4-6.       • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I expect to be a Mostly Mutts University graduate very soon!  So far, I’ve learned the ‘sit’, ‘stay’, ‘down’, ‘come’, ‘drop it’, ‘leave it’ and ‘place’ commands.  I also use proper door etiquette and accept nice strangers without jumping.  I look forward to learning even more. / I’m doing well in my crate at Mostly Mutts. / I’m doing really well with my potty manners on the shelter schedule with very few accidents.  • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love spending time with the nice volunteers, playing with my toys (and I’ll happily drop them for a treat!), and getting scratches - I can never get enough!  I’m a big fan of tough toys since I tend to make quick work of the soft ones, but that’s okay because the hard toys are my absolute favorites anyway!  I’m sure we’ll find lots of other things we will enjoy doing together in my new home. / I’m not a fan of those pesky eye drops and can be reactive to them, so talk to my trainer for tips.  I also don’t like to be restrained during my vetting, so I wear a muzzle to help things go smoothly, and my trainer is helping me build confidence and comfort with it.  Otherwise, like all dogs I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training.   • MEDICAL:  I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. I had a good dental cleaning, so my mouth is fresh again!  I’m having my ears rechecked/remedicated the week of Jan 12th and Mostly Mutts will pay for that with their vet.  I have dry eyes and need Cyclosporine eye drops daily.  I have been reactive to receiving the drops, so my trainer will be glad to talk to you about administering them successfully.  I’m still receiving medicated baths as my skin and fur continue to improve and those can be done in my new home in a shower setting. I take an allergy/itch medication called Zenrelia to help with my skin, too.  I’m a wonderful fellow looking to soak up the good life with my new family and to be well taken care of since that was lacking in my former home/situation.  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  February 2, 2026, 9:16 am

A WONDERFUL FRIEND:  Approx. 3 years old / Approx. 46 lbs. Hi, my name is Wilson!  I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control and am enjoying my time with the volunteers, who take great care of me, but nothing will beat a home and family of my own.  I spent some time in the prison/foster training program off-site and learned a lot! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts and liked them a lot.  I’m an excitedly vocal player, so if you have dogs at home already that wouldn’t mind this, let’s meet!  We should also be fed separately. / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, but I have mildly guarded my food so best no toddlers or young children that may not understand this about me.  • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m a friendly, fun, and happy guy with a playful, goofy, and sweet personality who is full of love.  I have so much happy enthusiasm to share, and I did great during my bath, too - I even drank from the sprayer and handed out kisses.  I’m a chatty, vocal player who loves to “talk” while I play with both people and other dogs. It’s just my sweet way of letting you know I’m having fun!  I’ve shown a little food guarding in the past, but it’s been very mild and is well managed after working with my trainer, so please just ask about it.  I’m a loving, affectionate boy who can’t wait to brighten your days. / Energy Level: 7-9. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I’m a proud graduate of the Mostly Mutts University training program so I’ve learned the ‘sit’, ‘stay’, ‘down’, ‘come’, ‘drop it’, ‘leave it’ and ‘place’ commands.  I also use proper door etiquette and have good leash manners using my EZ walk harness as well as accept nice strangers without jumping.  / The crate is not my favorite place, so I do some whining in there, but I am currently working on my crate manners in the prison/foster training program.  Check back soon to see my progress!  / My potty habits are improving on a good schedule in the prison/foster training program.  Please keep me on a consistent schedule, so that I can fully master my potty skills. • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love playing with toys, especially tennis balls, and I never say no to a peanut butter treat.  I’ve destuffed a few toys and shredded a blanket, so please just watch me with these items.  Chin scratches are the best, and they always make my tail wag!  At the end of the day, being with my people is really what I’m after.  / I can’t think of any dislikes yet, but I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered.  I recently started an inexpensive anxiety medication to help with some mild separation anxiety that I’m experiencing.  Hopefully I will no longer need it once I’ve settled into my new home. I’m a wonderful pup looking for a wonderful family to love and be loved by!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  February 6, 2026, 7:55 am

Story
AN ACTIVE & FUN FRIEND:  Approx. 4 years old / Approx. 32 lbs. Hi, my name is Victor!  Mostly Mutts rescued me from animal control, and I am so happy to be soaking up all the love and attention from the volunteers.  They are here every day to be sure I am a happy, healthy guy ready to meet my new family.  Well, that time has come, and I am ready for my ‘happily ever after’.  Come meet me soon!  I got to participate in the prison/foster training program and learned a lot! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts and do not like them, so I’d like to be your only dog. / Cats unknown. / I met a nice boy and a girl around 10 years old at Mostly Mutts and I was a bit all over them in a happy & excited way – being a bit mouthy and chasing them when they ran, so kids 15+ may be a better match for me.  Let’s meet!  Also, it would be best that kids do not walk me due to my strength and dislike for other dogs. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I am a super active and fun guy with a friendly and playful demeanor.  My affectionate nature has charmed the volunteers, and they refer to me as ‘a super sweet boy’.  In fact, my whole-body wags with excitement when I know it’s my turn to spend time with them.   I am a perfect angel for bathtime, calm as can be, soaking up all the one-on-one time and my bather says I have the most beautiful eyes.  I can get a little mouthy when I’m excited, and that playful behavior has occasionally resulted in some unintentional, never-to-be-mean skin grabs.  I’m very easy to redirect, and the trainers will happily show you the techniques that work with me.  Social, loving and energetic, I’d be happiest with an owner that matches my energy level and has time to be active with me. / My energy level is 6-8+, so let’s be active and have fun together! • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I’m a proud graduate of the Mostly Mutts University training program so I’ve learned the ‘sit’, ‘stay’, ‘down’, ‘come’, ‘drop it’, ‘leave it’ and ‘place’ commands.  I also use proper door etiquette and have good leash manners using my gentle leader as well as accept nice strangers without jumping.  I also know some silly commands such as ‘bang bang’ and I ‘play dead’.  / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts as well as in a temp. foster home I visited. / I had good potty habits in the prison/foster training program, as well as in two temp. fosters home I visited, alerting them when I needed to go potty, so hopefully that will be the case in my new home, too!    • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love people and enjoy any activity with them – the more activity the better!  Affectionate and loving, I also put energy into giving kisses, cuddles and happy tail wags, and I’m a big fan of belly rubs and playing with toys, especially balls, rope toys and bones.  I love to get my energy out by playing with tennis balls in the play yard with the volunteers.  I could play fetch for hours!  I also like to go for car rides, so let’s go lots of fun places together!  / I don’t care for other dogs, sirens, aerosol sprays or thunder (but the vacuum and hairdryer noises don’t bother me) and I’m not too sure about motorcycles passing so perhaps a quieter walking area would be nice.  I can’t think of any other dislikes, though I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered.  I have experienced a few allergy flare-ups and Mostly Mutts has recently started me on an allergy medication called Zenrelia to help with that.  Just ask about this to see how it’s working for me.  My ears get sensitive at times, as I have had ear infections in the past, but I do well for my ear cleanings, so please monitor this.  I have luxating patellas in my rear legs which do not require surgery at this time.  At times I limp, but I don’t let it slow me down as I’m very active, just ask about this!  I am looking for a wonderful home with a loving family for life!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.    I am looking for a wonderful home with a loving family for life!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  February 7, 2026, 8:03 am

Story
A HANDSOME YOUNG FELLOW:  Approx. 1 year old / Approx. 58 lbs. Hi, I’m Blake, but I answer to the name Churro (please refer to Blake though when inquiring about me as that’s the name my records are under). I was rescued by Mostly Mutts from animal control and was adopted for a few months. Unfortunately, my family’s parents became ill, and they needed to focus on caring for them, so I’m back with Mostly Mutts to find a new loving family and I can’t wait to meet them!  I’m in a wonderful foster home while I wait.  • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I get along very well with the other dogs I’ve met that were my size or larger, and I love playing with my foster sibling.  I can be a bit enthusiastic when I play, taking toys from other dogs, etc. as I’m still learning my boundaries! I’d do best with a dog who would enjoy a playful, rough-and-tumble style of play and won’t mind if I take their toy. A proper introduction will help set us up for success! / Cats unknown though I do have a strong prey drive. / I haven’t met kids yet, but I believe older kids would be best as I can be playfully mouthy, so if you have kids like this, let’s meet.  • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m a super fun and adorable pup who’s a little timid and fearful when it comes to new things (see the dislikes section below) - but give me some time and patience, and you’ll see my friendly, curious side shine through. I’m a sweetheart who likes to build trust first, so please skip the head pats until we know each other better. When I’m unsure or afraid,  I duck my head a little or flatten my body out. Once I feel safe, I’ll stay right by your side, quiet, attentive, and full of love. I promise I’ll be so worth it – my foster reports that I’m truly a total doll! I’m thankful that I’m in a great foster home as the shelter environment was scary for me. / Energy level: 6-8, so I’d like to be active with my new family. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I’m looking for a dog-savvy, patient and experienced owner who enjoys training their dog and bonding through learning! I already know several commands like ‘sit’, ‘stay’, ‘up’, ‘jump’, and ‘place’, and I’ve got great door and food manners - I’ll wait politely until I’m told it’s time to eat with the ‘break’ command. I’m smart and eager to learn, though my recall needs work so don’t let me off leash unless we’re in our fenced yard, and I’m working on my leash manners now. With patience, consistency, and love, I’ll thrive with someone who enjoys guiding me and helping me reach my full potential. (Oh, and I do tend to pick things up to eat on walks, so keep an eye on me!) / In my foster home I do very well in my crate and know the command “go to bed.” I relax quietly, especially if I have something to chew on. If I get bored, I might tear up a blanket or pillow, so it’s best not to leave me unsupervised for too long until I’ve earned that trust. I also get to go to work with my foster and do well in my crate there, too. / I’m doing well with my potty training! I let my people know most of the time when I need to go out, but sometimes I get a little too excited playing and forget – oops! I haven’t had any #2 accidents in my foster home, but I do try to snack on that – sorry about that.  My fosters just pick it up quickly since I’m a regular morning pooper and there are chewable deterrents that you could try over the counter that may help.   • LIKES/DISLIKES: I love belly rubs, playing tug, going on hikes and walks, and, of course, tearing up stuffies and squeaky toys! I have a blast playing with the other dogs, chewing on antlers (and pretty much anything else I can find), and enjoying healthy snacks. But my favorite thing of all? Just being with my people! / I can be nervous and fearful around certain things like loud noises, fast movements, or unusual objects such as bikes, strollers, or umbrellas - but I’m learning that they’re not so scary! Big crowds can overwhelm me, but I’ve done well in calmer public places like restaurants and stores that allow dogs. With patience and gentle encouragement, I know I’ll keep getting braver.  I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. I should eat from a slow feeder bowl as I eat much too quickly and get a tummy ache.  I’m looking for a wonderful dog smart family to love and be loved by! My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  January 31, 2026, 9:32 am

Story
Jax was acquired by my son and my wife in 2020 from the Humane Society. He was 2 at the time. Apparently his first owner passed away. Jax is a calm and loving dog. He gets along fine with the two cats we have. We keep him in a crate during the day when we are at work, but he is not usually penned at night. Jax does not get the love and attention he deserves; he needs to go to a better home. I am willing to keep Jax for as long as it takes because he deserves a good home, not a shelter.
