Story
A WONDERFUL YOUNG PUP:  Approx. 7 – 8 months old / Approx. 36 lbs. & growing  Hi, my name is Taffy!  I had a home, but my owner simply did not have the time to devote to me that I deserved, so I made my way to Mostly Mutts in order to find a new family to love and be loved by. I’m soaking up all the attention from the volunteers at the shelter and can’t wait to do the same with my new family! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I haven’t met other dogs at Mostly Mutts yet – but I’m a puppy and do seem to want to play with them, so – if you have a nice doggy at home who would enjoy a puppy friend, let’s meet! / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m a super friendly and fun pup with a sweet personality.  A typical pup, I am playful and fun.  The volunteers who care for me describe me as ‘the most delightful, sweet girl with a happy energy’.  A true lap dog, my affectionate nature will surely bring lots of joy to a lucky family! / My energy level is 5-6+.  • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I’m ready to learn and have mastered the ‘sit’ command.  The volunteers say I do a great one, by the way.  Check back soon to see what else I have learned. / I've been having some accidents on the shelter schedule.  Please continue to be consistent with me on a good schedule, so I can master my potty skills. • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love to spend time playing with the volunteers – readily giving and receiving affection and kisses.  My leash manners are pretty good for a young pup, even though I am a strong girl. / I can’t think of any dislikes, though I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I am looking for a great home with a loving family for life!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  October 9, 2024, 7:15 am

Story
A REAL PEOPLE DOG:  Approx. 6 years old / Approx. 26 lbs. Hi, my name’s Irwin and I came to Mostly Mutts from animal control.  Since joining the MM family, I’ve been soaking up all the love from the volunteers who come to care for me. I also got to spend 2 nights in a temporary foster home and had fun there. I hear that I’m now ready to find my new family, and  I am so excited for that day.  Hopefully it will be soon!     • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I did well with the dog in my temp. foster home.  I was gentle and friendly with her though we didn’t play together.  We did share my temp. foster dad’s lap, so if you have a friendly dog at home already, let’s meet. / Cats unknown, though I did not react to the one I saw on my walk, so if you have a dog-friendly cat, let’s meet and see if we can be friends. / There was a 13- and 18-year-old in my temp. foster home and I was friendly and gentle with them and enjoyed when they pet me. So, if you have kids, let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over.   • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I was a bit anxious and fearful when I went into my temp. foster home, but I warmed up quickly and just loved my time there.  I’m looking for a family that has a stay or work from home family member as my favorite thing in life is to sit by my people or even on their lap.  I had little spurts of play but was mostly chill in the home.  They also said that I didn’t bark much (except when in that dreaded crate).  They also reported that I was an all-around sweetie!  At the shelter, the volunteers describe me as friendly, calm, gentle, sweet, and a charmer as well as the sweetest boy who will melt your heart.  I really seem to love everyone I’ve met so far and I’m sure I’ll love my new family too! /  In my temp. foster home my energy level was approx. 3-5.  At the shelter it’s more like 4-6.  • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  So far, I know the ‘sit’ command and everyone says that I walk nicely on my leash.  I also came when my temp. fosters called me. / The crate and I are not friends!  In my temp. foster home, I hated it and would cry, howl and bang against it, eventually settling down but it took a while, so it’s probably best I don’t live in an apartment/condo type home due to this. If you want to crate train me, I’ll need you to do it slowly and use positive reinforcement training (making it a place I can like).  MM will be glad to give you tips on that.  Perhaps I won’t need a crate in my new home.  I’m also not a fan of being in my crate at the shelter. / I had accidents on the shelter schedule but did wonderful in my temp. foster home (for me everything is better in a nice home!). I’d go and stand close to the door to let them know I needed to go potty, and I didn’t have any accidents the 2 days I was there.  • LIKES/DISLIKES:  Most of all, I love being by my humans.  I also like toys and playing fetch as well as chasing critters in the yard.  Walks are also on my likes list. / Besides my hate for the crate, I also don’t really like being left alone much and I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered. I’m getting medicated baths for a little while to help with some discomfort on my front feet.  These can easily be done in my new home.  I’m also taking Apoquel, an allergy medication to help – this may be a temporary medication – just ask about this.  I’m looking for a wonderful family with a stay or work from home family member who will be patient with me at first – giving me a little time to settle in and feel comfortable. My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  October 9, 2024, 7:15 am

**TWIZZLER IS WITH THE LIFELINE ANIMAL SHELTER AND WE ARE ONLY SUPPORTING HIS ADOPTION PROCESS. THE ADOPTION FEE IS PAID DIRECTLY TO LIFELINE ANIMAL SHELTER** PLEASE COMPLETE THE ADOPTION APPLICATION FIRST. WE DO NOT RESPOND TO ONLINE INQUIRIES - ONLY ADOPTION APPLICANTS. https://airtable.com/appJMHBItTE2RWdqD/shrsP6tKWM2HcFZaA Meet Twizzler! **Age:** 6 months **Gender:** Male (neutered) **Breed:** Bulldog mix **Weight:** 34 lbs Twizzler is the happiest boy! His start to life was difficult—he was abandoned at the Lifeline shelter by a breeder because he was born with scoliosis and could not be sold. The shelter team took him in, and with love and support, he has found his footing and become the most lovable and adventurous dog! He has been surrounded by people, dogs, and even cats throughout his puppyhood, and he does well with all of them! Truly a comeback story, Twizzler has grown into a remarkable dog. He loves to run, play tug-of-war, and cuddle. Twizzler will continue to build strength in his hind limbs and looks forward to a forever home with a devoted family. He will do best with frequent walks and a backyard to get out his energy and for the physical therapy benefits (continuing to build strength in his back legs). He has mild urinary incontinence but takes medication to help. We also believe that with development, time, and exercise, this may improve or resolve. Twizzler has never let his disability hold him back, and he is looking for the forever home that will allow him to blossom into his full potential. He will return the love and care right back. Story
Maggie Jane (goes by Meggie) is a playful and happy american bulldog mix, born on 4-26-14 weighing 69lbs. She is full of personality and loves everyone she meets! She happily greets the vet, neighbors, and quickly wins everyone over. She is an affectionate and loving girl who enjoys being close to her people. Maggie is a bossy alpha girl, and does best with a strong human leader. She is dog friendly (so long as they remember who is boss!) and she is also cat friendly. Maggie is crate trained (up to 8hr) and is house trained. This low key gal has a medium energy level - her favorite pastimes include playing with toys and sunbathing in the yard. Maggie would love a forever home that has a fenced yard (no apartment or condos), older kids, and family members that will take her on fun adventures. This girl loves going for car rides, so she will make an excellent addition to a family who enjoys taking their pup out on the town. Maggie is spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. Story
Ava Ariel (aka Hazel Gray) is an adorable bulldog mix, born on 9-15-17, weighing 65lbs. She is best described as an absolute love bug and a total sweetheart! This smart girl knows all her basic commands, and has good leash manners - she is well trained on the &#34heel&#34 command. She&#39s easily trained, as she is food motivated! Ava is both crate trained and house trained, and has a low/medium energy level. She is friendly with other dogs her size or larger and enjoys spending time with her people. This sweet girl would do great in a home with another dog, or as the only pet. She&#39s met kids ages 5yr and up and has done well. No kitties for Ava. She does have storm and loud noise anxiety, but this is easily managed with her medication and by allowing her to find a comfy spot with calming music playing. Ava is spayed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. For more information about Molly, please email us at info@barkvilledogrescue.org.
