If you're looking for a dog with personality, Carter has it in spades. He's cute, sweet, and full of energy- basically a toddler with fur and four legs. Around here, we lovingly call him our little "terrorist" because the only time the house is quiet is when he's in his crate catching some Z's. Don't let that fool you though- Carter is a total sweetheart who loves people, playtime, and being part of the action. At just about a year old, Carter has all the goofy puppy charm (and mischief) you'd expect. He's smart, hilarious, and endlessly entertaining, but he definitely needs an active home that can match his energy. A yard to zoom around in would be his dream, and someone who appreciates his antics will never be bored. He's also a big fan of his crate and settles in nicely when it's time to relax. Carter gets along well with dogs that can tolerate his puppy energy and play style, and he's shown to be unphased and curious (but never aggressive) toward cats. With the right companions, he fits right in. Carter is the definition of "work hard, play harder." He'll keep you laughing, keep you moving, and keep your heart full. If you're ready for a best friend with a little sass and a lot of love, Carter's your guy.

Doc is a sweet boy who just loves his people. He just loves to be loved and loves to love you right back. Unfortunately, my husband and I have separated and I'm not sure where I will end up. I will not be able to take him with me. Wherever Doc winds up needs to have space for him to run. He is a fence hopper and he is quick so anytime he is outside he has to be on a leash and it's just not fair to him. He also likes to pee a lot and house training has been a bit of a struggle.

Meet Gracie Lou! Gracie has lived a very hard life. She spent her first 5 years outside on a chain and when my family met her, we knew she deserved a chance. We've fostered Gracie for over a year now and have fallen head over heels for her. We would easily be a foster fail if our dogs would accept her into our home. We are looking for that special person or couple to promise her that she will never know that life she came from again. Gracie is completely house trained and doesn't require much effort. She's very happy to just be near you or to look out her window and watch the world! Despite the life she had, she loves and trusts so unconditionally. She is happy to be in the room with you and rolls immediately on her back for tummy rubs the minute she gets your attention. She is easy to be around and is just happy to have you as part of her life. Gracie is happy to go for a 1-2 mile walk or to run around your fenced yard. If you are going for a car ride, she will jump right in and navigate! She is very food motivated and has learned to sit. She's so smart and we are sure with someone's time she could learn so much more! Gracie loves toys and is so excited to have a new toy with a fresh squeaker!!! She is good on a leash but does get excited when she sees other dogs - she may need some help calming her excitement. She would also like to have her person close by, she spent too much of her life alone already. She would be best as an only dog with no kitty or child siblings. She is up to date on shots, spayed, and housebroken.

Bulma is a 3 year old, 70 lb American Bulldog. She is a super happy, very friendly dog. Her friendliness, however, doesn’t necessarily extend to other dogs. She can be a bit of a bully when she thinks she can get away with it. Bulma was raised outside with her brother (who was recently adopted). They had food, water, shelter and love from their human, but they were never allowed to live inside. When their mom became too ill to continue to care for them, she, regrettably, surrendered them to rescue. Bulma is affectionate and energetic. Her foster recommends she be placed in a home where she can be an only dog and get plenty of exercise. Her original human reported that she also had a cat that frequently spent time behind the fence with the dogs, but this hasn’t been tested and verified since entering rescue. Bulma hasn’t been tested with children but we have no reason to think she would be anything other than her sweet, friendly self. She might be a little much for very small children, since she is not bashful about showing love (just like every other Bulldog we’ve ever met). She needs some training to learn her doggy manners and she is very eager to please. She will be tons of fun, laughs, and kisses on day one! FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. The adoption fee Includes Age-Appropriate Vaccinations (DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies), Deworming, Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Flea/Tick/Heartworm Prevention, and Sheltering. Adult Dogs are Heartworm Tested and Treated as Needed. FOCCAS does not DNA test or guarantee breed. If adopted locally and/or adopted in person, her fee is $275.
