Story
Fiona really could have been been named Mary Poppins because she truly has a magical way with kids. If for some reason you do not like giving a happy, loving dog a belly rub, then Fiona is not for you. Right behind her love of kids is her love of belly rubs. One touch and Fiona will be melting to the ground, belly to the sky. Truly though, her magic is with the babies. We all knew how good she was with kids but when she met a 6 month old baby and we saw the gentle, adoring approach she took, we knew she truly was meant to be a family dog. The sweet foot nudges to a 6 month old baby and the relaxed client at the kids “nail salon,” she is ready to be the cornerstone in all your kids favorite memories. Fiona isn’t bound to just being a homebody though, this girls patio skills are top notch. She knows the patio vibes are relaxed and welcoming, her two strengths. She is going to chill out at your feet and let anyone wanting to say hi, come to her. Fiona spent an afternoon on the patio at a Pickleball Club recently and quickly became the object of affection for almost the entire guest list to a 10 year olds birthday party being held a few tables over. She is magnetic! Needless to say, this girl is a people lover, friendly to the core. She is the epitome of the saying “has never met a stranger." This girl wiggles and wags with absolute joy at the first site of people and it only intensifies when she knows those people are going to pet her or tell her how pretty she is. She genuinely lights up and it is an invitation for a love sesh! See a few moments of that and more in her video here- In rescue, breed and age are offered as educated observation because we can never know a dogs history but we believe Fiona is an American Bulldog/ Boxer mix and she is estimated to be around 4 years old. Weighing in at 57 lbs and full grown, she is a great mid-size dog, perfect for hugs and snuggles and squeezes. Fiona is more than just love and belly rubs though, she is also smart and attentive to calls and commands. She has learned her name and has a great recall- you say Fiona and right there she will be with her big smiley face. The attentiveness is most obvious when she sits at your feet literally waiting for your command. Treats only peak that attention, which will make training basic skills a breeze. Basically, a hand full of treats and a bit of time and you two can start impressing all your guests with your tricks. Thanks to her age, energy level, and size Fiona could live the condo/apartment life. She is quiet and low-energy but will still benefit from daily walks and mental stimulation. If you have a home with a yard she will absolutely use it for sun bathing, mid-day naps, and watching the clouds go by. As for other pets, Fiona doesn’t need another dog to be happy, just her people but would be a great companion for a mid-low energy dog similar to herself. Basically, she is great company but she won’t be any dogs chase-buddy but is a yes on being a nap-buddy. When she met our house cat Tom she was a little too interested, she would likely try to give a cat a good chase, so no feline friends for Fiona. A calm, adoring, gentle family girl with sooooo much love to give! Giggles and wiggles guaranteed! Adopt Fiona today and you’ll quickly know what it feels like to be absolutely head over heels for a dog that adores you in return. Please email kristin@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Story
🐾 Meet Wall-e! 🐾 Hello! Let us introduce you to Walle, a truly unique gentleman with a heart as big as Texas. At just three years old, Wall-e is a laid-back companion, always ready to bask in affection. Walle is the perfect match for you if you're searching for a calm and collected buddy. Wall-e will be your new walking buddy: a gentle-on-leash pup who turns every long stroll into a whimsical adventure filled with tail wags and curious sniffs! https://youtu.be/heyfp7Y8p5U?feature=shared Wall-e is a true delight on the leash, striding with a calm confidence that makes every walk a pleasure. He enjoys walks, but not when it's too hot. He's completely unfazed walking by other dogs and carries himself with grace and composure. Walle would thrive as the only dog in a home or even with a low-energy female companion, as he values his personal space and is not fond of male dogs. Wall-e loves to rub his head on you and knows how to sit, though it may require some encouragement. He adores Dentastix and big femur bones from the butcher. A cozy couch and some pets make him content, and he becomes ecstatic when you offer a treat, which he accepts with the utmost gentleness. Friendly with adults and children, Walle sometimes shows a hint of shyness when meeting new people but warms up quickly once he feels comfortable. Rescued from the side of a highway, Walle has made tremendous strides in his foster home and eagerly awaits a loving, forever family. Currently fostered in Texas, Walle's foster parents are eager to show you how wonderful he is through a virtual meet and greet. He needs a home with someone who patiently lets him settle in and know he's loved and safe. Take the chance and add a serene soul to your life. Walle is ready to fill your days with tranquility and gentle companionship. Reach out to learn more about adopting Walle today! 🐶💕 Application link: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/65eb50e80f0210e0030615a5 Please email elizabethbower@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Story
🐾 Meet Thoran, aka Thor! 🐾 This mature 4 year old boy is the perfect blend of confidence and happiness! I love the way he carries his head and tail high with a slight grin on his face. He cocks his head slightly with a curious look at you which so is dang cute. He has the most darling little prance and is low to the ground with his short stubby legs. He’s easy on the leash, so walks are a breeze—no pulling or tugging here! Thor would be easy to take to a city park or trail. He loves to sniff his spots and smell all the places along the trails. He is more a of a slow as you go kind of walker that moseys around. Thor gets along wonderfully with both people and prefers other dogs that are aloof and more mellow, making him an ideal companion for families or single adopters alike. We think Thor would be best for kids age 3 and up. He could live him a home, condo or apartment. Thor is NOT high energy or an excessive barker. Thor is also well-behaved in his kennel, and he thrives on attention, especially when it comes to his favorite pastime: butt scratches! Booty scratches put a BIG smile on his face. You’ll quickly find out that he’s a total goofball when it’s treat time; instead of sitting, he jumps with excitement and playfully runs off, only to return and take treats gently from your hand. If you’re looking for a confident, lovable sidekick who’s ready to fill your days with joy and laughter, Thor is your guy! Come meet him today and see how he can brighten your life! 🐶💙 Thor is fostered in Texas and available for virtual meet and greets. Story
Sporty Spots is a very handsome Saint Bernard American Bulldog mix that weighs about 80 pounds! He absolutely loves people and loves to get attention and belly rubs! He will sit with his head in your lap getting all the head scratches for hours if you let him. He is a goofball and is sure to make you laugh and smile everyday.  Spots is a super friendly and outgoing dog. He is good with children that are aged 14 and over! He loves toys, and he also loves to play in water. He is the kind of dog that would love to play in the sprinklers and have his own little pool he can play in. He really loves to play with balls, he will chase them all day. Spots would do best in a home that has a backyard for him to run around in.  Spots does well with some dogs that are his size or larger. Spots will need to go to a home that has a strong handler and has owned large dogs before. So far, he has learned to sit, stay, and lay down.  Overall, Spots is an amazing dog that is waiting for his forever home. He is very loyal and very friendly with other people. He also is very protective of his home and loves to keep patrol of his yard! He loves toys and water and would make the perfect travel buddy! Story
Acquired Koa when he was only 2 days old, rejected by his mom. At 4 weeks, determined that he had a cleft palate. Began preparing dry dog food mixed with gelatin to prevent aspiration. He's had no health problems during his whole life (1 1/2 yrs old) continues to do well with eating (when fixed properly) and drinking. It takes about 10 minutes a night to fix his food for the next day. Our living situation is such that we need to find him a good home. He is a great dog, full of energy and loyal to his family. He gets along with other dogs but can show some dominance. He's never bitten. Loves to play. Not sure about being around cats. He loves to run in the woods, swim (surprisingly) and loves being around his family. Prefer he go to a family with lots of room to run off his energy. He loves kids. Can have him neutered before turned over to a new home. Call/text for more information.
