KENNEL ID #18804Meet Duck — Your New Couch Buddy Duck is a big, sweet, laid-back lovebug who’s ready to settle into a real home. This easygoing guy is happiest relaxing on the couch, going for nice leash walks, and hanging out with his people. If you’re looking for a calm, affectionate companion, Duck is your guy. Duck was rescued from a high-kill shelter in Tennessee just in time and is now safe, fully vetted, and preparing for his fresh start. He’s a house-trained, neutered boy who stays inside all night with no accidents. Duck walks well on leash, knows basic commands, and gets along beautifully with children, other dogs, and even cats. Weighing about 80 lbs, Duck is a sturdy, gentle presence with a soft heart. While his paperwork lists him as 4 years old, we believe he may be closer to 6–7 years old, which means you get all the perks of a mature dog—calm, predictable, and past the wild puppy stage. Duck would love a home where he can relax, be loved, and maybe share his days with a buddy who enjoys the simple things in life. If you’re looking for a loyal, low-key best friend who’s already done the hard work of growing up, Duck is ready to meet you.  be your new best friend? Story
Meet Charles—better known as Charlie! This big-headed, low-riding hunk of a dog is a 60-pound brindle bundle packed with personality, charm, and an easygoing nature that has made him a favorite in his foster home. Charlie is the kind of dog who is simply happy to be part of your day. He loves spending time outside, happily surveying his domain, and when it’s time to come inside, he settles beautifully in his crate without a fuss. His southern foster absolutely adores him and says he’s a really great dog to have around. Charlie is still heartworm positive, but he has nearly completed his treatment and is scheduled to be retested next month. Please don’t let that discourage you—heartworm is not contagious and is completely treatable. Charlie has done wonderfully throughout the process and is looking forward to putting this chapter behind him. Charlie is currently in South Carolina and is ready to make the trip north on or after July 25. He’s looking for either a foster home or a foster-to-adopt home to welcome him when he arrives. Fostering is completely free—we provide all food, supplies, and veterinary care. All you need to provide is a safe, loving home and plenty of love while he waits for his forever family. If you’ve been thinking about adopting but would like to make sure Charlie is the perfect fit first, our foster-to-adopt program is a wonderful option. It gives you the opportunity to welcome him into your home before finalizing the adoption, making the transition easier for everyone while ensuring it’s the right match. Transport arrives in Pottstown, PA, with morning pickup. If you’ve been thinking about fostering or adopting, Charlie would love to be the reason you say yes. To learn more about fostering, fostering-to-adopt, or adopting Charlie, or if you have questions about heartworm treatment and what it means for adopters, please email us at mostlymuttz@gmail.com. www.mostlymuttz.org Link to Charlie’s bio: https://www.wagtopia.com/search/pet?id=2499662&name=Charles #mostlymuttzrescue #fosteringsaveslives ##2499662##

Story
Meet Boxer Boxer is a 2‑year‑old American bulldog mix weighing about 55 lbs, and he’s the kind of dog who makes an impression the moment you meet him. Found as a stray and brought to ACCT Philly, Boxer was quickly scooped up into our care because he was simply too awesome to pass up. This friendly, high‑energy guy is always ready to wiggle his way into your heart — literally. Boxer is famous for his full‑butt wiggles whenever he gets attention and melts everyone with how sweet and gentle he is, especially when taking treats from your hand. Boxer loves being active and exploring the world around him. Outside, he enjoys zooming around the yard and has even been known to climb up onto picnic benches to get a better view of everything going on — curiosity definitely included! He’s very interested in other dogs and has had good dog meets, and he would likely thrive in a home committed to continuing his socialization and helping him polish up his leash skills. If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate, and entertaining companion who brings joy wherever he goes, Boxer is ready to be your new best friend. He will come neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and 4dx tested. He would need to meet any resident dogs. If you are serious about adoption, please fill out the adoption application on our website www.phoenixanimalrescue.com His adoption fee is $500. Story
Hello, my name is: HondoApprox. DOB: 07/06/2024Weight: 50 lbsSex/Breed: Neutered male bully mixRescued From: AbandonedHondo’s story began when a kind stranger found him wandering alone through a neighborhood. From the moment they met him, it was clear he had once belonged to someone. His gentle nature, impeccable manners, and easygoing personality made it hard to imagine he hadn`t been loved before. His finder spent weeks searching for his family, hoping someone would come forward for this special boy. Sadly, no one ever did, leaving us heartbroken that someone could simply walk away from such a wonderful dog.Despite everything he`s been through, Hondo remains the definition of a gentle soul. In new environments, he can be a little shy and unsure of himself. He just needs a few days to decompress, settle in, and realize he`s safe. Once he does, his sweet, affectionate personality emerges—and it`s impossible not to fall in love with this little hippo.Hondo`s favorite pastime is perfecting the art of being a couch potato. If he had his way, he`d happily spend the day snuggled up next to his people, soaking up every bit of love and affection they have to offer. Although he was initially nervous about walking on a leash, he`s grown much more confident in foster care and now enjoys leisurely walks. He`s a low-maintenance guy who finds joy in life`s simple pleasures: toys, tasty treats, a good chew bone, and the company of people he trusts. Hondo is crate trained, appears to be house trained, and is highly food motivated, making him eager to learn and easy to train. He`s also done well with other dogs after proper introductions and truly enjoys having canine friends to play with and being part of a pack.More than anything, Hondo deserves a family who will show him the love, stability, and lifelong commitment he`s always deserved. Even after being left behind, he continues to greet the world with a wagging tail and an open heart. Now all this sweet little hippo needs is a forever family to give him the happy ending he`s been waiting for.All our pets are microchipped, spayed/neutered, and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives.Interested in adopting?
