Ruby Monday is a total love bug who was unfortunately dumped at a high-kill shelter when her previous family moved without her. She lives with many other dogs in her foster home and gets along well with everyone, except when someone gets into an altercation. She thinks she is supposed to end all spats, so we never leave her with the other dogs unattended. For this reason, she would do better in a home as an only furkid or with an experienced owner.Ruby loves humans of all sizes and ages. She is a cuddlebug who loves to go for car rides and walks. It is hard to believe she's a senior with her energy and happy, outgoing nature. It would be wonderful for any senior who wants a dog to spend retirement with them, and still give anyone who might want to cause trouble a reason to think twice because of her size and bark.She is fully vetted, current with her vaccines, spayed, microchipped, and on flea and tick, as well as heartworm, prevention. Ruby is available for permanent foster care if you live within a reasonable distance of our veterinary clinic. If you are hoping for a companion but are on a limited budget and feel you can not afford to take care of a dog, we would love to help you give Ruby a wonderful forever home.

Story

West is an adorable, social butterfly. He has an excellent temperament and loves people and other dogs. He doesn’t have an aggressive bone in his body. He will bark if someone comes to the door, but otherwise he’s pretty quiet. He’s honestly a great dog and I hate that I have to get rid of him and his sister. There aren’t any issues, I simply can’t take him with me to the house I’m moving to. The only con is that they both can tend to pull on the leash when they’re being walked. That’s something I was never able to train out of them, but I’m sure can be accomplished. He and his sister Lola are a packaged deal. They have been together since birth so I just want to ensure they stay together. Both are quiet and friendly. If you have kids, you couldn’t get better dogs. This precious meat head is Champs. Big, strong, loving and loyal and looking for a loving home. Champs was found living in a homeless camp with a logger chain and lock around his neck - chained to a tree. Life was desperate for this guy with his open neck wound. What agony he lived in day after day, despite that he was still nice to people and other dogs that came up to him. Luckily, a good person stepped up and did something rather than just pass him by. Champs is a sweet loving smart boy. He is eager to please his people and make them proud. He is the most handsomest, sweetest little big guy out there! We are working on our Canine Good Citizenship together and he is SOOOO quick to learn and eager to please! Champs is good with other dogs, but does need proper intros as he is VERY excitable and not a lot of other dogs like that. But he when he makes friends, they are the best of pals! Not sure on cats or other pets. He's very curious so he'd probably chase a cat if it ran from him. He is high energy. I would recommend an active home with teenagers with lots of energy that they can play together. He loves a consistent routine. So I would imagine the energy will settle a bit when in a home. He loves a good car ride and would be a great on-the-go pup! He's in boarding right now and needs a foster or adopter that is willing to continue his training! He would sure love a home to experience life with a loving family. Champs seems to like everybody he meets: humans and canines. Our sweet Midge. She’s safe, she’s loved, and she’s got a road ahead—but she’s already showing us who she is. Midge came to us with: • Heartworm disease • Hookworms and a tick-borne illness • Severely underweight • Urine-stained fur Behavior-wise, we strongly suspect she spent much of her life crated. She currently wants to potty in the crate, which we’re working through gently and patiently with routine, supervision, and lots of grace. Crate training is very much a work in progress. That said—there have already been wins. 1. She mastered sit this morning 2. She’s dog-friendly, though mostly indifferent 3. She is beyond affectionate and would choose a lap over anything else, every single time. Midge is incredibly sweet, people-oriented, and just wants to feel safe and close. She’s not demanding—just quietly desperate to belong. Also can we take a moment to appreciate those baby blue eyes! 🥰 We’ll continue medical treatment, weight gain, and training at her pace. For now, she’s resting, healing, and learning that life doesn’t have to be so small anymore. Found in the road before Christmas, malnourished, sad and hopeless. She is very friendly and we cant wait to see her feeling better. She even got a boost of energy once she knew she was safe, jumping up on her finder to say 'thanks'.
