She can be shy when first meeting new people, but with a little patience (and a few tasty treats!), she warms up and shows her softer, affectionate, loyal side. She is very treat-motivated, which will make building trust and continuing her training a rewarding experience. Honey Bun would do best in a calm, quiet home with an experienced dog owner who understands how to help a sensitive dog gain confidence. She is looking for an adult-only household and would thrive as the only pet, where she can soak up all the love and attention without competition. Her adoption fee is $125. She is spayed, microchipped, current on her rabies vaccination and basic boosters. She did test positive for heartworms, but thanks to Rockwall PAWS, Honey Bun will be able to receive treatment at little to no cost to her adopter. This precious meat head is Champs. Big, strong, loving and loyal and looking for a loving home. Champs was found living in a homeless camp with a logger chain and lock around his neck - chained to a tree. Life was desperate for this guy with his open neck wound. What agony he lived in day after day, despite that he was still nice to people and other dogs that came up to him. Luckily, a good person stepped up and did something rather than just pass him by. Champs is a sweet loving smart boy. He is eager to please his people and make them proud. He is the most handsomest, sweetest little big guy out there! We are working on our Canine Good Citizenship together and he is SOOOO quick to learn and eager to please! Champs is good with other dogs, but does need proper intros as he is VERY excitable and not a lot of other dogs like that. But he when he makes friends, they are the best of pals! Not sure on cats or other pets. He's very curious so he'd probably chase a cat if it ran from him. He is high energy. I would recommend an active home with teenagers with lots of energy that they can play together. He loves a consistent routine. So I would imagine the energy will settle a bit when in a home. He loves a good car ride and would be a great on-the-go pup! He's in boarding right now and needs a foster or adopter that is willing to continue his training! He would sure love a home to experience life with a loving family. Champs seems to like everybody he meets: humans and canines. Our sweet Midge. She’s safe, she’s loved, and she’s got a road ahead—but she’s already showing us who she is. Midge came to us with: • Heartworm disease • Hookworms and a tick-borne illness • Severely underweight • Urine-stained fur Behavior-wise, we strongly suspect she spent much of her life crated. She currently wants to potty in the crate, which we’re working through gently and patiently with routine, supervision, and lots of grace. Crate training is very much a work in progress. That said—there have already been wins. 1. She mastered sit this morning 2. She’s dog-friendly, though mostly indifferent 3. She is beyond affectionate and would choose a lap over anything else, every single time. Midge is incredibly sweet, people-oriented, and just wants to feel safe and close. She’s not demanding—just quietly desperate to belong. Also can we take a moment to appreciate those baby blue eyes! 🥰 We’ll continue medical treatment, weight gain, and training at her pace. For now, she’s resting, healing, and learning that life doesn’t have to be so small anymore. Found in the road before Christmas, malnourished, sad and hopeless. She is very friendly and we cant wait to see her feeling better. She even got a boost of energy once she knew she was safe, jumping up on her finder to say 'thanks'.
